hey guys lost my old account so new one for forums
I was wondering if there was a way i can change the drop rate on single player with 1.14?
if there are any mods out there.. i don't want anything crazy, like i remember once i used this mod where 5 unique items dropped on every mob.
i want to make the drop rate like x2 - x10( or 20?)
nothing to amazing
this will make my single player play-through a lot more enjoyable.
You can change it by typing "/players 8" or something similar to that, adding non present players to your game does not add them to your group however, so you will only get half the benefits of drop rating, so whatever the drop rate would be for 4 players, while increasing the difficulty of the enemies to the 8 player level.
Edit: If that isn't enough of a change for you and you do want a mod, plugy was always pretty common, there is a 1.14 compatible version that lets you change a large number of things. Not sure if drop rate was a part of it, but ladder rune words and uber events are.

PlugY doesn't affect drop rates in any way, so you can't use the mod for that purpose.
The files necessary can be found [url=http://www.diablofans.com/topic/20502-all-diablo-ii-txt-files/]. Put those files in data/global/excel which you place in your D2 folder (so it will probably look like Program Files (x86)/Diablo II/data/global/excel).
Then add -direct -txt to the Target line of your D2 shortcut in order for the game to read your modified files rather than it's own MPQs.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

If you want to change the drop to drop more items, read this: http://phrozenkeep.hugelaser.com/index.php?ind=reviews&op=entry_view&iden=417
