I hate it when my generation uses the word "gay" as a synonym for "stupid" or something that they don't think is cool enough for them. I'll admit that I used to say it in that context, but I've stopped because I realized how wrong it is. Now, I prefer to express my distaste for something in a much more eloquent fashion than just using a seemingly impulsive word. I use phrases like, "I really don't like it because __________" or "I've just never liked it and I can't seem to put my finger on as to why I don't." Kids who go around and use the word "gay" like that get on my nerves more than most other people simply because I think that it shows a low level of intelligence when you can't put more words to your ideas and succumb to using a single word that they have bent to their own definition. It almost annoys me more than people who use the word "fuck" and all of its variations more than nineteen times in a single sentence.

Some of the kids in my generation are definitely B-Class individuals. But, then again, we're only human and I shouldn't expect them to do anymore than exist, buy whatever they think they need, and try to get laid like the animals they are. I'm not saying that I'm above that, but I've come to recognize that behavior for what it is and accept it for what it is; a background mentality. I don't blame humans for it because we are born with it, but some people are more above it than others. I respect anybody that is.

Oh jaysus, you know what really annoys me? People who whine like you. Seriously you get offended when someone uses a word you don't like? You should hide in your room. Words change. What if some day stupid becomes synonymous with retarded, and it 'offends' people? Are you going to stop saying stupid because people like you whine about it?
And BTW you should be slapped for your holyier-than-thou attitude, I mean really. Actually you know what, I find YOU a b-class citizen that I don't expect to do more then exist, and be a hippy.

I just have to point out, giving money to charity, and not even knowing which one, is a moral 'car wash'. I mean, you don't even know what charity it goes to (when you say you want something that makes money to give it away). seriously do some research, and try to find where money goes in A LOT of the highest grossing ones. You CAN'T find where it goes, because, and it's not hyperbole, MANY are fraudulent. Check out the charity that former president Bush started with ( i think it was Clinton?) for 9/11 victims, and also the charity started for victims of Katrina. They eventually went on TV to admit they had NO IDEA where ANY of the money went, and that is how a lot of these things operate. I dare someone to instead of just giving money to something, try to track it, ask questions as to exactly what this money is going to buy. How long have charities been around? Can you prove me to one thing they have actually helped? Now of course that is an overstatement, there are a couple that have helped people, such as the Japan relief, and the ones I can think of are actually pretty small, and more based on the surrounding community.

What I'm trying to say is charities are good, in theory. But just giving away money to make yourself feel better is worse; It could be going towards something the opposite of what you intended.

Sorry just my rant on shit like this.

jaysus some of you guys need to settle down, this game is still in development, and if you did some research there are videos of the designers saying they don't like the character putting away their weapons to emote. So just chill, stop calling blizz lazy when you haven't even played the game yet. Wait until release to cast your vote.

gotta think to, i doubt they would show the best looking models, it seems they are keeping stuff like that out of the media, so the players can discover it =D

I really wish we still had them. They REALLY spooked me out as a kid. And when I see them now, I still get some of that childhood uneasiness. I really wish they still had pentagrams smeared in blood across the floor. It made the place seem like..well, you shouldn't be there, and that you are, you're going to pay one way or another.
    This.
Diablo 1 was covered with this shit, crosses and blood and symbols all over the place.

FUCK what the symbols mean to religions now.. I mean, the religions now are already just based on previous religions before them so what the hell does it matter.

Anyway, "strange" pentagrams and symbols, crosses and whatnot really helped make Diablo 1 what it was, which Diablo 2 is based off and is what most people know now..

BUT seeing the footage of D3 i can see how it can be without it.. But then again, Diablo 1 was a lot more dark and athmosperic, gothic and stuff, which really isn't what the D3 team is aiming for.

(Warning i am f***ing drunk, can't type or express myself very well... Maybe should have said that at the top of my post =P)

Dont you wish you were playing D3 atm instead of sittin on some forums? I'm drunk, and I wish that very muchso =D

At first when I read the first couple of threads I defiantly disagreed with taking out the symbols, but I realize that's just me being scared of change lol (loved D1 and D2), D3 is a brand new game from almost all standpoints, and I actually think it would be a lot more fun for them to come up with their own satanic symbols. Makes sense; still spooky but also has the lowest chance of pissing off some whiny people.

Yea they could use the cross, as kingcobb says it's defiantly an old symbol. But I mean, so is the swatzstika (spelling?) before it was called that. That symbol has been around almost as long as man, and for almost every culture it meant something good, like for instance it was the 'four L's' at one point; Life, light, luck and love. But yea my vote is on some brand new creepy symbols and what not =D

Granted it wont be "forcing" me. But in my case itll feel like it because leap was such a fun/usefull movement
    Function of that baba

Well looking at leap now I almost wouldn't even call it a mobility, since it seems to be mostly an attack. I mean yes you can jump to a place, but then you stop for a second to smash down, and its just my opinion watching the videos that I won't be trying to leap everywhere when I'm running around, I doubt it will be that much faster then just running.

I hope so. Being able to jump around as i please being downgraded to only after im done tearing up mobs would suck

Well actually there is a barb passive that makes you gain a small amount of fury after you fight, out of combat, and it keeps gaining, so you could potentially run around with full fury at the start of a fight.

It would make sense to take fury, it seems to be a pretty good attack, and while I believe every toon has some sort of mobility skill, I really don't think it would be diablo 3 if everything had a teleport. IE, it makes more sense that a couple can move better then the rest. Like teleport and vault. Whereas the witch doctor from what I've seen doesn't have any, except if you count that soul split thing, which doesn't make you go faster (?) but nonetheless really useful in combat. (if the WD does have something please correct me =D)

posted a message on Quests Log
There is a quest log video, go under the main forums, pick D3, then one of the sticky pages has a whole list of bootlegged videos. One of the first couple videos in that list, under 'bootlegged', not the official ones, shows the toon opening up his quest log twice close to the start. It looks like its divided into two squares, top and bottom, with the top being bigger. And the top houses tinier squares with pictures that represent your quest, and the bottom has a description. From what I can tell =D

posted a message on Online only , Duping and economy
    Quote from Urbanleg

Hey, blizzard constantly says that online only creates a much more secured environment.
hence - eliminates duping and botting which negatively affects the game's economy.

That sound pretty weird to me since on of the cons of D2 economy was duping and botting (the randomness was just right!)
    now:
    1) D2 suffered from duping
    2) D2 suffered from botting.
    3) D2 was online only (offline chars are irrelevant - im talking about the online economy)

so, how online only D3 will vary from this? it seems D3 economy might suffer these plagues as well and once again our beloved game will fail in containing a strong economy.

Just like what the person a couple above me said, D3 is almost completely server side. D2 had a offline mode, which means that the ENTIRE game had to be on the clients computer, where you can view item data, scripts, boss and mob AI and more. With D3 you will have almost nothing on your computer as far as game files go, you are playing a game on another computer through yours.

I would defiantly click the forums button on the right side of this websites main page (where it shows recent posts) and then go into diablo 3. From there you can find a lot of the game info, such as class skills (for the most part) and all the new game systems. Also straight www.diablo3.com is pretty good =) the brand new community website is up as well on battle.net. Either way i would defiantly research everything you can, from a just starting out standpoint on D3 I can say it goes way deeper then 'the wizard sounds cool'.
