The screenshot and video are probably real, the question is, is this alpha, beta, or just one of the many demo builds? All I can say is I'll enjoy looking at these shots and watching the video then wait tomorrow for a blue post (bashiok confirmed earlier that they haven't sent out emails yet).

If this is the legitimate BETA, then he got it illegally. blizzard would never allow someone to take home beta with them. If they did shame on Blizzard. Can't wait to see what Blizz has to say to us today.

I'm happy all right, I wish I got into beta, just checked and there was nothing. I just wanna know how fucked this guy is and what Blizz has to say that someone leaked their Beta. Not only that I wanna know how come one guy has the beta? Noone thought to check their account take a pic and send it online?

The arguments in this thread remind me of the ones we had on sc2mapster about the map marketplace.
There's a large group of people really not happy about money getting involved in Blizz games (after the initial purchase or subscription). But to me, it's Blizz staying in the 'game' and pleasing investors while still being very good to its fan base (WE can make money on the RMAH and WE can make money on the map marketplace).

In my mind, it's already here. Unfortunately in my mind I'm also getting bored of it since I'm playing the same third of act 1 over and over and over and over and over again.
I imagine eSATA would be of an adequate speed for a separate recording hard-drive?
I haven't seen this in action or heard about it in use BUT from what I read this seems MORE than good enough!
And to Arnull: Yeah I read about other tools that compressed on the fly which is great for size but as you may have seen in the video, if I already am having trouble recording 1080p full-size then adding more stress may not be a good idea. I did read someone say that you should atleast have a core i7 if you're going to use a tool that records/compresses at the same time.
Edit: Also I used the 'Blackmagic disk speed test' (google to find a download for it, ignore the mac app store one lol) which lets you test write/read speeds to your hard drives. FYI it's part of software for an HDMI graphics card but anyway its tool can be used nicely here.
Hey guys, I know a lot of people are probably getting very interested in recording this game/beta (or recording in general). I've been recording for over a year now on my SC2 channel, but have just recently experimented more deeply with Fraps (to try and squeeze performance out of it). It's one thing to record the SC2 Editor, but it's another to record SMOOTHLY in-game without hampering your game performance but ALSO getting a good quality video.
Here's my findings that I hope helps others:

I was talking with Sixen how these could have been leaked... here's one theory I had:
Blizz probably was uploading them privately, but then because of maintenance on youtube, couldn't set them to private until maintenance was done and somebody ripped them during this time.
... I had this happen to me with a mapping tutorial.
