One question though I have W7, will it matter because I watched couple minutes of the video and you are using Vista. I DLed WMM the other day to so that's all set. Can you press Windows Key + Tab? Does it bring up a '3d' version of alt+tab?
If so, this is called Aero and you start Fraps recording from here. Granted, you'll have to edit off the first few seconds of video so no one sees that ugly start haha.
I too use FRAPS (www.fraps.com), and so do most who record PC gameplay, it's just the go-to program. Do the Vista Trick he mentioned to be able to record your desktop. To compress Windows Movie Maker is a great free program.

I haven't used Movie Maker in a while, good point to mention. I'm using Sony Vegas these days to edit... really intuitive and easy I find.
FYI I admire your channel, very professional and good quality. I noticed you kept one channel for sc2/d3... I decided to split mine since my sc2 one is VERY niche just for editing. Time will tell if I made the right decision haha.
But to summarize for you, I use fraps with the Vista trick to record full screen. It's 37$. You will have to re-encode videos into a compressed format though for youtube. Files are too big from fraps (gigs). I like Fraps because you can check-off computer sound AND microphone sound at the same time.
(Btw the vista trick is to press windows-key+tab and then the Aero alt-tab opens, then you hit record on fraps and release the keys and now your screen is being recorded).
You can try Camtasia or w/e, I haven't.
Finally, there is also Microsoft Expression Encoder Screen Recorder (comes in Expression package I believe). I have used this and it is good and produces decently sized files.
Quicktime Pro on macs can also record screen and produces nice file sizes. I have used this on my Mac. I don't know if the PC one can record screen but probably.
FYI I know these things because I've been recording 100+ sc2 editor tutorial vids on my sc2 channel, so I've gone through some hoops lol.
Closed beta is not open. Force and Sixen are guaranteed a spot as soon as it opens because they're press, but it's not open. Day 9 also got a press invite but ALSO got a friends and family invite, so even though there is no F&F NDA technically, he can't post about it until closed starts and his press invite kicks in.
that seems like an odd double standard, I guess blizz has the F&F NDA because they knew they couldn't keep it under wraps.

Wow that was long haha. I think the one thing for sure that the community is agreeing on is no-penalty skill swapping is bad because it then becomes an obligatory thing to do while playing. I've watched countless streams where people are changing skills on their bar rather than fighting monsters. This I am sure Blizz will act upon.
As for the other stuff, I really don't know. Take SC2 for instance, we whined constructively and positively in the mapping forums since the beta about how the custom game system was not working. They made some changes/fixes but in the 1.5 years of SC2, its core has not changed (HOTS may change this who knows). Now I don't even play sc2 or recommend it to friends, yet War3 I EXCLUSIVELY played for the custom maps. Well, I'll stop on this over-beaten issue.
The key is: don't get your hopes up too much. I agree with you I do like feeling unique and having some tree system is nice but D2's system had its issues. I'm skeptical they will have time or do anything significant about the current skill system.
Not personally; it's very interesting they made a binary file type for almost everything but I'm sure someone will crack it.. No D3 model viewer for a while
Weirdly enough in one of the files (i think .gam?) you can see a reference to an XLS file which is an excel file!!
I should also mention that they already said they would patch in AH and so forth... but the way he says we 'may be patching in more content' sounds like its stuff they haven't said they would (ie more act 1 or more random bosses or pvp).
My guess is more "random" bosses if you will. I dont think we will see more of the story at all.

edit: to address your edit... theres no need for them to "want to keep people" Getting new people helps them test on more computers..and if they need a bunch at once they can just mass invite a bunch at once.

The arguments in this thread remind me of the ones we had on sc2mapster about the map marketplace.
There's a large group of people really not happy about money getting involved in Blizz games (after the initial purchase or subscription). But to me, it's Blizz staying in the 'game' and pleasing investors while still being very good to its fan base (WE can make money on the RMAH and WE can make money on the map marketplace).

I was talking with Sixen how these could have been leaked... here's one theory I had:
Blizz probably was uploading them privately, but then because of maintenance on youtube, couldn't set them to private until maintenance was done and somebody ripped them during this time.
