I don't know if I'm just looking at it wrong but to me it looks like the silhouette of the guy on the item screen has a claw for a hand.
I also think that the bag icon for the large items looks more like a 1930's explorers bag then something medieval. Feels a little out of place.
I think that the text of the different skill tress is a little generic. I'm sure they'll change it though.
I do like the "stony" feel in the background of the item screen. Very diablo-esque.
The colors on the items equipped bothers me. I believe they correspond with the rarity of the item but I think it will look weird later on when you have a green, a purple, a yellow, and a blue item all equipped at the same time.
I think it would be cool if the replaced the generic face atop the swords and gold pouch with something more recognizable, like bishibosh's face.
    Well those are my opinions.

I'm not saying it needs to be like D2, it just makes more sense is all. I feel they realized this from D1 to D2. So why switch it back. It would not take very long just to swap the two pics.

Of course it doesn't effect the game play. Neither does how the armor equip screen LOOKS. I thought the point of this thread was to discuss the aesthetics of these things. Not how they will effect the game play.

posted a message on On the subject of Leaping...
I don't think every char should be able to jump. I do find it weird when the epic heroes can't walk through a crowd of trees or wade through a shallow river. But I understand the amount of programming and complications that would arise if they got rid of these obstacles. However in real life if I come up to a rock even 2 feet tall I walk around it, I don't go leaping over every obstacle in my way.

As far as the barb's leap in the video, I don't think everyone should get this ability or it's equal. I believe they will give other characters a different route and to the randomization of the game. I do think it would be cool though if they add other obstacle that other classes could overcome. For example, a giant obstacle blocking the way the the wizard could use telekinesis to move out of the way or a blockade of diseased bodies that no body could walk through except the witch doctor since he can control diseases.

posted a message on Item Drop Notifications
I don't like the idea of the pop-up. It seems to slow down the pace of the game. I think it is more realistic to believe that the people you are playing with would more then likely tell you what there drops are if you get a set item or unique or whatever. I know when I played with my brothers we would tell each other any time we got a rare item.

"Unless you can also find other class items I'm not sure."
I've mentioned this somewhere else, but if the limit your drops to only your class then they will have ruined any sense of commerce in the game with no trading except for runes.

posted a message on Bossruns change or keep?
I don't think there is a way to end boss runs. Boss drops are the best because they are the hardest to kill. If people want to limit themselves to only fighting the end boss for loot that is there option. For people like me who don't, I would be really upset if the hardest mobs in the game didn't give me my best loot. My only suggestion to "solve" this is to not let people kill bosses more then once, or if you're playing online with somebody else then the boss just won't drop any loot for you.

That's sort of canon, dating back to D1...

In Diablo 1 the demon held the life and the angel held the mana. In D2 they switched it and had the angel holding your life while the demon held your mana. So I don't understand what you're saying. IMO it just makes sense that the angel represents life and the demon represents death. Like they had it in D2

I could be wrong but they said there was a slot for large items, one for small, and the last one for quest items. So I believe the chest icon is for your quest items.

IMO, I think that the demon and the angel at the bottom need to switch. It makes more sense that the angel would represent your life while the demon would represent your energy needed to kill things be it mana or fury.
I do understand the aesthetically the demon is red and angel is blue but how does a demon keep you alive or angel bestow you the ability to kill.

I hope that you receive more then just your classes drops. If anything its still cool to see the other gear. Not to mention its gives you something to possibly trade other players.
Also, you could use the corner stone for more then just class specific gear. Runes, gems whatever you need to get to another one of your characters.

Like save Cain on the dungeons??? eheheh i want something related to the books... ;) it would be really cool play some quest and relate it with something you have already imagined by reading the books =)

Well, I could be wrong but I believe that Cain cannot die in the video. I means something more like...

You find Wirt's brother Wort who has lost both of his legs (haha) and you have to protect him as he crawls back to town. the monsters can actually attack him and kill him. You have to kill the monsters attacking him to keep him alive. If he dies then you fail the quest.

what about a "protect the president" type quest. Where there is some helpless person and you have to get them back to the city without dying.

I did a search and didn't see anything else on this matter.

For those of you who played Diablo 1 Hellfire, you should remember the corner stone. It was ingenious. And for those of you who didn't, the cornerstone was an area in the game (a 1x1 square) where if you left an item on it then you could switch your character and go get that item. Basically, self trading. I was very upset that this never came to be in D2. I don't know how many times I would get a sick drop for a druid on my barbarian and so forth.

I really hope that they put something like this in D3. As someone who plays mainly single player, it was a quick and easy way to get the drops I've earned onto the character that can use it. And you didn't have to worry about switching it through multi-player hoping the guy wouldn't run off with your stuff.

    What do you guys think?

For any of you that honestly think that there is even a chance that this is real, go to diablo3.com and select "character classes" from the main page and you will see that he has not been added to that page. SERIOUSLY though this class is awesome.

posted a message on Other combat systems
With the Barb's fury system, I was wondering if any of the other classes (including the ones we don't know) will have a different combat system. It seems odd to make an entirely different combat mechanic just for one class. I don't really understand why a Barb couldn't use mana but if that's they way they want to go, then what about other classes?

    Any ideas?
