I played d2 in a clan and it made it much more enjoyable. It was only a small clan though. And even though we had 2 leaders in the clan (I was one of them) everyone had a say in it so it wasn't run like your usual nazi clan was lol. It was just essentially a group of very trustful friends who would help each other by running/lvling each other, giving advice, giving each other items that we no longer needed, looking out for whatever items others may be after, pvping with each other etc.
good times lol.

Feb 24, 2010JNM-illiquid posted a message on New Changes With 1.13bI never really understood why they were/are planning to nerf the willo-wisps. Like sure those guys can be strong in hell when you have bad gear but that's the entire point, it's suppose to be Hell mode. If anything they should make all minions in hell stronger, because it's too easy. Or like a mode after hell mode!!!! sadly that'll never happen thoPosted in: News

Oct 31, 2009JNM-illiquid posted a message on Griefing, Health Orb Mechanics and More with Jay WilsonPVP is the greatest aspect of diablo2 and atm it's basically the number 1 thing I care about in D3 so i'm hoping they make it freaken awesome and don't mess things up. I've played D2 for yearssss and the only reason why I played for nearly as long as I did was because of PVP. If it wasn't because of PVP I would have probably quit d2 5+years ago because the storyline is so easy and once you finish it there is nothing to do except find more items but what good is finding more items if you can already beat all difficulties, the only reason to find more items is to get more godly so you can then pvp. So please blizz don't overlook pvp, it's the sole reason why me, and im pretty certain many others played for as long as we have and d2 has lasted for so long.Posted in: News
plus I don't just want some little pvp arena, it's so simple, all we need is an option when creating a game, that way everyone is happy. plus don't mean to be offensive or anything but I just have to say this idk why so many ppl complain about being pk'ed. I've played for 7years or so and probably only been randomly cheaply pk'ed without any warning maybe like 5 times and what, I lost some gold...oh no! -
Sep 25, 2009JNM-illiquid posted a message on Character Energy Sourceshey also another question, in d2 people could make singer barbs (heh) that were caster barbs. so im guessing now with this new fury system all barbs have to be melee now? or am I missing how fury works, and fury can potentially work with like casted attacks too?Posted in: News

Sep 25, 2009JNM-illiquid posted a message on Character Energy SourcesThis sounds all well and good but I wonder how it will all work out for pvp like im just curious, correct me if im wrong but from what I gather the barb starts of 'slowly', builds rage as he takes dmg / deals dmg and gets 'stronger'. In pvp wouldn't this put him at a sort of disadvantge from the get go, because he'll be starting off slow and won't be able to deal big dmg straight up and knowing how geared up pvp players are before you know it after 1-2 hits he will be dead. Sure you can all say "blah blah blizzard will have a solution, it's blizz afterall etc etc" but idk I just sort of get this little feeling that they are leaving pvp out in the dark atm. (edit: plus i remember reading this really old old interview with jay saying how he didn't like pvp in d2 because he got owned alot lol)Posted in: News
ps have blizz announced anything in regards to like fcr, fhr, fr/w, ias, block rates n whatnot? to me this was the best part of d2, just building insane pvpers that had insane fcr, fhr, life, dmg etc. -
Aug 21, 2009JNM-illiquid posted a message on New Diablo 3 Character Class: The Monk!Posted in: NewsQuote from "Seth" »Well, we already have the Witch Doctor. I feel like if they had another Necromancer look-alike, it would be too much.
oh I mean a knight that is only similar to the necro in the fact that it isn't good nor evil. So it could have crazy demon skills etc. Ah well I don't think that will happen but no harm in hoping so lol. -
Aug 21, 2009JNM-illiquid posted a message on New Diablo 3 Character Class: The Monk!the monk looks pretty cool. Prob not my style tho, but I'll have to wait & see lol. I was sort of hoping they would have some sort of like twisted knight in the same vein as the necros character, neither good nor evil. Not saying monk isn't awesome but just not very original.Posted in: News

Jul 10, 2009JNM-illiquid posted a message on A bit of cool info about loot systemPosted in: NewsQuote from "Dingler" »"If you see an item drop, it's for you. If you pick up an item and don't want it, when you drop it then everyone else can see it."
So you can't see what other players on your team gets for drops?! That's pretty sad imo. Imagine killing a boss because you know he has a chance of dropping an item perfectly suited for your character. Now there's only a certain percent chance that the item will fall into your hands and if it does not, you wont ever know if the boss really dropped the item or not because you can't see your teammates drops.
I understand what you're saying but put it this way, do not even think/care about what items drop for other players. All characters will still have the exact same specific % chance to find an item (not taking into account mf). From what I gather from reading the op just say for example boss#1 always drops 1 rare item and 3 random items, the drops won't be split among all the players as in only 1 of the players will see the 1 rare item, instead all players will have their own drop roll and each will get a rare item and 3 randoms. -

haha that sums up exactly my thoughts (and im pretty sure most ppl). always nice to get confirmation, but atm the patch is more important, i want the patch!!! -
May 11, 2009JNM-illiquid posted a message on Bashiok on "Skill Trees" in Diablo 3.Posted in: NewsQuote from "Pjanoo" »WC3 is pretty irrelevant here and chaos damage was included only in campaigns, wasnt it?
Anyway, I agree that people are too focused on the fact that everyone is going to pick skills from all over the skill trees now just because its possible.
Remember that there will still be lots of passives and probably other benefits that will make focusing on a particular build more appealing.
And most importantly remember that there wont be 75% completely useless skills like in D2 that will make skill picks an obvious choice for everyone. Im sure that Blizzard is working on a lot of cool and useful skills for all trees and going for a build that includes all trees will not neccesarily be better.
some good points. Just because people can now potentially pick for example 6 major skills doesn't mean they will be anymore effective or powerful than someone who just focuses on 2 major skills. If anything they will be even less effective because the person who only just focuses on 2 skills and maxed all the relavent passives may end up doing 4 times more dmg with their 2 skills compared to the person who has 6 major skills but none of them are at full potential. -

Apr 18, 2009JNM-illiquid posted a message on Diablo 3 Difficulty LevelsPosted in: NewsQuote from "Mortac" »I seriously want a VERY difficult level. I mean, I plan on seriously comitting to my character online. I want to have the feeling that improving my character will feel worthwhile even if I manage to reach max level. If the game becomes easy, it will be boring to continue. Repetitive "boss runs" for loot becomes boring very quickly. An insane difficulty level where player teams are basically a necessity (and where rewards come thereafter) would only enhance the fun. If we can just plow through all the mobs there will ultimately be little fun.
And, yes, Diablo 2 was way too easy at all difficulty levels.
haha yep i agree fully. something beyond hell mode. like uber tristram and the organset lvl style difficulty but even harder. that would be the best -
Apr 18, 2009JNM-illiquid posted a message on Diablo 3 Difficulty LevelsI still say keep immunities. in d2 there were still ways to get passed immunities, although they were generally quite expensive. the runeword infinity helped heaps, as did socketed facets and also just a merc with nice gear was easily able to take them all down for you in hell mode.Posted in: News
I still like my idea how in 1 player games there should be no immunities, but when more players join the game then start bringing immunities in along with making the monsters harder, more hit points etc.
Element characters were always highly powered so immunitieis added at least a negative side to it. melee chars have to get in close, dont do as much dmg, take longer and then they have attack rating to worry about. Element chars can deal out 40k dmg etc (lite sorcs) and shoot from 2 screens away with no chance of missing due to attack rating. So immunities are a good thing imo lol. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I think you're referring to actual sites where you pay for items with real money, the original post from my understanding is referring to trading sites where you trade for items with virtual forum gold (aka JSP, there I said it lol). Diablo 3 is going to have features that will make those trading for forum gold websites obsolete. Which is awesome imo, nothing against those websites but if it can all be done ingame to begin with then that's unreal. I can't wait for the d3 trading/economy.
The websites you're talking about where ppl buy with real money are probably going to still be around, but only idiots pay for items with real money to begin with lol so if they want to then let them.

Depends, like if I'm just driving around I tend to flick thru tracks however if I am sitting on my couch and am going to be listening to the music carefully then it def needs to be an album from start to finish. a large portion of the music I listen to is electronic music and they mix it anyways so the album is made to be listened to from start to finish as each song flows / mixes into the next, so the one album is basically just like 1 big long song. Alot of it I find depends on the type of music like when I listen to metal I tend to flick thru tracks but with electronic it has to be from start to finish even electronic albums that haven't been mixed if they're really good then they need to be listened to from start to finish, because it's like a book or movie, each song has an effect on the next I feel, and I feel I can't just skip it to the end.
edit: the thing I like about music is listening to the layers and just the overally effect it has on my mood. I swear it takes me away to another place as crazy as that sounds haha the best thing is when you have for example listened to an album like 50 times already yet you still pick up on new sounds/layers in the background that you haven't heard before. so good I also love it how sometimes you listen to an album for the first time and don't really think too much of it, then a month or two later you just happen to listen to it again and it's like "wow this is amazing". just how sometimes albums take a while to grow on you or for you to understand them.

Now despite saying all that, if I could have a 5th class and it didn't have to follow the traiditional class set and not be a ranged class I have said this in other threads and have it be a sort of really dark & twisted knight that can use demon powers & crazy spells. Sort of like a close ranged caster.
