posted a message on Fire Druid?
if you look on youtube there is a fire druid build. uses armegedon and fissure i beleive. in the video he duels pretty bad players tho to make him look super cool lol but he does pretty nice dmg. just all faceted gear like 30/30 sword n 20/20 shield etc (tho means he isn't reaching fcr n fhr bps so will suck in proper pvp). I've never personally made one but they might be alright in pvm with an infinity merc and because of their oak sage they can get high life and do nice dmg.

I guess the main reason why ppl don't make them is simply because there are many other classes that are better. wind druids are awesome lol.

"If you see an item drop, it's for you. If you pick up an item and don't want it, when you drop it then everyone else can see it."

So you can't see what other players on your team gets for drops?! That's pretty sad imo. Imagine killing a boss because you know he has a chance of dropping an item perfectly suited for your character. Now there's only a certain percent chance that the item will fall into your hands and if it does not, you wont ever know if the boss really dropped the item or not because you can't see your teammates drops.

I understand what you're saying but put it this way, do not even think/care about what items drop for other players. All characters will still have the exact same specific % chance to find an item (not taking into account mf). From what I gather from reading the op just say for example boss#1 always drops 1 rare item and 3 random items, the drops won't be split among all the players as in only 1 of the players will see the 1 rare item, instead all players will have their own drop roll and each will get a rare item and 3 randoms.

yep def go with poison and summons. I did this 2 seasons ago and now i've decided im going to remake again but even better when ladder restarts :) poison only has 60 skills to max (67 or so i think if you use lower resist) then the rest can just go straight into summons. Even tho the summons won't be nearly as strong as a full blown summoner they are still pretty effective. I tested this on single player using an act2 nm offenisive might merc with infinity and a pride iron golem and in hell mode the summons were still strong enough to take out minions pretty fast. on top of me spamming 12k nova i was clearing places in record speeds haha. In my opinion only put 1 skill in revive, summon resist and mages. then you have more for raise skeleton and skeleton mastery. You can only max one of the 2 however and imo skeleton mastery is prob more important. But leave it upto you.

posted a message on Economy diablo 2?
    Quote from "gamma11" »
ok wow doesnt have these problems mainly because millions of people are spending 15 bucks a month on a game that is constantly getting updates and patches and expansions... there is no money pool to fix d2... and i think a lvl 80 char in hell with 300 mf should get better items than a char lvl 99 in hell with no mf... lvl favoritism just makes it easier... and we dont want easy... its easy enough with duping... thats why wow has fewer problems also... monitoring servers and no duping... you dont want runewords easier to make... they are too easy to make is the problem... everybody has them... the point was to make shit harder to get so you dont have a million people with enigma hoto ebotd coh cta etc etc etc...

I haven't read all the posts beyond this point, but I agree completely with what has been said here. keeping mf is a must. Even with high mf gear if you look thru mf calculators you will see the odds of finding certain items is still extremely high. So if somebody decides they want to put in some legit hours and mf then they deserve to at least have slightly better odds of finding items. There is nothing forcing anyone to mf.

The reason why the economy is like it is has nothing to do with mfing. It's all to do with duping and boting, simple as that. I also like the idea of runes in theory. In theory like gamma11 said they are suppose to be extremely rare, so only the truely godly, perhaps you can call them lucky, player has an enigma etc etc. Not every single player. When I think about it duping & botting is the reason why the stat point system has become obsolete aswell. Because everyone can easily get enigmas and annis etc they don't need to put stats in strenght etc so it just goes straight into vitality. However if duping and boting never existed, then people would still be forced to put points in strenght and dex to equip certain items, at least on their first chars while they're still finding items they would.

lol whenever I hear the word epic warcraft & stupid colours and music immediately jumps into my mind. I hate the word epic lol and bashiok said it several times just then. :| mmm idk what to think haha. In my opinion being subtle has a far greater impact in creating a scary mood than being epic e.g. for me a dungeon that is dark coloured with dark ambient music playing and the sounds of water dripping and wind blowing is far better than some dungeon with purple lights and a full blown orchestra playing.

Oh I know Psycroptic. They have killer riffs. You must know Necrophagist yeah? I don't really like them, but you should at least check them out if you're into this genre.

Yeah I love the riffs psycroptic come up with. Only one guitarist aswell. And the drummer is soooo crazy. Seeing the drummer live like blew my mind he sounds like a drum machine, so fast & technical haha and at the end of one of the songs he started doing this really crazy high speed breakbeat pattern.

haha yeah I sure have heard of necrophagist before. I used to be into them a couple of years ago, not so much anymore but still he (mohammad) is very talented. If I remember correctly one of the albums he made entirely by himself. Same with gorelord, he made an album entirely by himself aswell.

    Tech Death? Like..which bands?

more so brutal tech death. my fave are psycroptic (saw them live like 2 weeks ago :D so good), spawn of possession & origin. Gorelord are in there aswell, although they aren't tech death.

edit: in my opinion the best metal album i have ever heard is 'the scepter of the ancients' by psycroptic. worth checking out if you're interested.

posted a message on i need a really strong pvp char
    Quote from "kefka666333abc123" »

Heres another build that sometimes works with practice. Nova sorc with infinity....ive seen them own and get raped in many games. I think with enough practice they can be very viable in pvp...the only thing thats gonna seriously rip the shit outta you is ww barbs and sins since you have no block

max es infinity nova sorcs are so good. I had one and it was my fave pvp char, so fun to use. I've always been a sucker for those circular move chars like poison nova necs & hammerdins. Could kill 95% of people in pub games easyyyy. The only downfall tho, and this counts for all sorcs, trap sins etc, is that it's possible for people to just throw on all sorbing gear and have stacked res so you literally can't hurt them. So the only chars I couldnt defeat were people with mass sorb on, so I would just leave those guys alone and other players in the game would just take them out for me lol.

Max es with insane mana is the best, makes you tank more than any other character, it's like having 6k mana with crazy mana regeneration and 1k+ life so basically 7k life all up that regenerates lol. And nova itself is a stun move, so you stun lock them and they can't move. All sorcs & necros would die in 1 or 2 novas, barbs & smiters prob around 4-7 but with the stun lock they can't move so you just spam it & they're dead. Also a couple times I would 1 hit sorcs etc with just my thunderstorm alone lol. It's also fun to just throw on cyclone armor from the infinity and get fade to pvp with.

anyways I haven't read all the posts here, but if you want a character that is effective vs all chars, cannot be sorbed, cannot be blocked & isn't a hdin or smiter then I recommend a Bone Necro. Trap sins, fc zons, all sorcs can all be sorbed & stacked res and you always have people in games who just have loads of sorbing gear in their stash for such occassions. But bone necros can't be blocked or sorbed. They may do a fair bit less dmg than other classes, and they're alot harder to use than almost all other classes, but a very skilled player with a bone nec is one of the hardest classes to pvp against.

i do like technical death metal but electronic music is my fave, and it changes all the time but my top would be something along the lines of:
    Sasha + Digweed
    Boards of Canada
    Tipper
    Burial
    Dom & Roland
    Aphex Twin
    Hallucinogen

I choose more than 5 but it's too hard to pick only 5 haha. All depends on my mood n whatnot.

count yourself in for paladin. Yeah im wondering what will become of hammerdins aswell in this new patch. Be interesting to see if they nerf them. I sort of have a feeling they won?t yet at the same time wouldn?t be surprised if they do lol.

    What does JNM stand for?
    Quote from Magistrate" »

    Edit-

While I'm at it, what future plans do you have with the clan and what are its primary tenets (if you have any)?

JNM simply just stands for Jez n Matt. The names of: myself and my friend; the two leaders & founders. I know it doesn?t follow along the lines of most clan names but personally I don?t really like those, most of them seem too over the top haha like random example DAJ: Death and Justice or along those lines.

Our future plans are mainly directed towards diablo3 actually. We intend to build up a strong, trustworthy & tight clan so when Diablo3 hits the shelves we will already be running at full force from day1. We also certainly want to keep the clan 100% legit. Almost every clan these days on d2 hacks in one way or another, however, we plan on keeping it fully legit. I believe this will pay-off when diablo3 comes out as it will not have any hacking / duping when it first comes out (and hopefully it never will if blizzard can help it) so we will already be experienced at playing legit (and trust me there is a massive difference from the two). Imo most other clans are so used to hacking /duping etc and just being able to have a bot mf for them 24/7 they won?t be as prepared/effective at putting in the hard work it takes when playing legit than we will be. So come d3 time we will be competitive with all the other top clans.

and sorry for the crappy formatting. i typed it up in word and can't be bothered to fix it all

posted a message on Why do you like your favorite class?
yeah its gotta be the necro. first class i ever made. also poison nova necros are so good, heaps underrated. dont see nearly enough of them :( i had one 2 seasons ago who did 13k poison nova dmg but also had about -120% enemy poison res thru items and 'lower resist'. If i remember correctly he did like 130k poison explosion lol. and it was always good fun using him in pvp, having an army of skeletons and revives around you acting as a shield, then when the other player trys to duel you they think "oh a summoner, this should be easy" then when they get close, spam 1 nova, drops their life straight down to 1hp so they try and run back to town but then the aura from the fire golem kills them before they can make it back haha.

also summoner n boners are extremely good if made well. other really really good chars would have to be wind druids and sorcs (max energy shield with insane mana is the best).

posted a message on TW - What does it stand for?
i havent read all the previous posts, but it means taiwan. however...... lots and lots of people have started using tw not knowing what it means, thinking it means something godly so have started using it all over the place. so the majority of the time you see games saying tw baal etc the person isnt even from taiwan, they just think it means godly baal or something totally crazy like that.

so in summary the real meaning for tw = taiwan

dit: btw ive played for years n never heard anyone say it stands for team work. seems more like they just made that up and have stuck by it and think it means team work. chinese whispers lol

posted a message on Join clan JNM for new patch & ladder reset on USWest
    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a few people to play with and join clan JNM for when the new patch comes out and ladder resets. We will be playing on USWest.

Me and my clan mate have decided when the new ladder resets we will get one person to play each type of character. Necro & Druid are already filled, so looking for 5 people, a Paladin, Barb, Sin, Zon & Sorc. The idea is we all restart together and when somebody finds a barb item for example, we then give it to the player using the barb and vice versa for all the other characters. So we share items, help each other out n whatnot and this way we can focus on having 1 really good character each instead of having several not so good characters. :P

We are looking for experienced players as me and my clan mate have played on and off for many years. And we're going to be keeping the clan 100% legit!

so please post up if you're interested, or msg me on bnet. My account is JNM-JVW my friends is JNM-MMK We have also posted this on jsp.

    peace
