posted a message on Max Players = 4?
It was released a wicked long time ago that it was most likely they would do around four and that they weren't completely sure yet. But, it seems like they are sticking to it..

Personally, I like the four player limit. Just wish it was five sometimes for the "one of each class" party (:

I hope it's called chi or spirit or something like that :)
The color yellow would look good, but I'm sure people would complain it's too much like the rogue in WoW.

I love the class, but at times in the gameplay trailer I was confused with huge chain explosions. Is that just the third part of a combo?

And the seven sided strike or whatever it's called, can you do that twice in a row?

posted a message on More than one town per act
When I said small towns I was thinking of things as small as little refuges with a couple of shacks. Inside the group of shacks could probably have a runaway person with a small side quest like "go to my abandoned home north of here and gather my valuables from a chest in the attic". Also inhabiting the refuge of course would be a vendor. Maybe a guard who can sell you a mercenary, but one that's weaker than the ones in D2 and only lasts until his health runs out. (no health regen, no armor). The mercenary thing could be stretching it though.

I mainly wanted these just for side quests since I really like the idea of them, I just don't want too many that it overwhelms the total progression of the story.

posted a message on Which class is your favorite so far?
When the first gameplay trailer was released, I was witch doctor ALL the way. The zombie wall never did anything for me, it was how cool the "mass confuse" spell looks. At last years blizzcon they talked about runes, and the firebomb with a decent rune looks even crazier.

The barbarian in D2 never did it for me, but in D3 I really like the rage system and his attacks seem stronger.

I've played the sorc the most out of all of the classes, so the wizard I am not as excited about.

The monk, at first glance I thought "wow, this is really overpowered and confusing to watch with all these explosions". But when I heard about the combo system it got me thinking of how much fun it could be.

Right now it's a toss up between the witch doctor and the monk. I'm going to be faithful with my original choice and pick the WD :)

(the barb does look amazing though)

posted a message on More than one town per act
In Diablo 2 there are only five towns, one for each act. These are where all your TPs lead to, and from where you can waypoint.

What if in Diablo 3, they decided to create more than one town in each act. You can start off each act in a place that isn't even a town (like the start of a trail), with a waypoint next to it and a trail you can follow. Then as you progress through the act by going through dungeons and paths, you encounter maybe three small towns in total. This gives a better progression through the game like you aren't constantly going back to the same area with the same NPC's for quests. It also leads to more traveling so you can find more "side quests" and kill more bosses/ rare elite monsters. Plus, bigger maps and more open spaces

Unfortunately, this leads to less of a "home feeling" you get when you can hang out in the Rogue Encampment, where everyone usually meets up in games with friends or you can just hang out and duel.

I'm thinking that blizzard is going to incorporate some type of PvP game you can join, where more players are. As well as a trading system. This doesn't mean you can't duel/trade in normal games though.

Well, barbarians are going to vary a lot then:D

Like someone said, they aren't getting "more" loot, just a variety. Which could end up being a bad thing because they will get a ton of weapons they don't need and barely any armor. I'm sure blizzard will balance it out just fine though.

But, I'm thinking the last class will use light weapons like short swords, daggers and maces.. as well as a bow. It would be cool if they could kind of switch off like by pressing "w" in LOTD, but quicker and flowing better.

Weapon types are restricted to classes now? I'm not really up to date, is this confirmed by Blizz? In any case, it does not bother me.

The only ones I know about were mentioned when the wizard was announced. They said only logical restrictions were being made of then. Like a wizard can't carry a 200 pound battleaxe.. even though it would look pretty funny :)

And I know now that the monk can only equip fist weapons and a combat bo.. since he was originally thought up to be an unarmed class.

I think it's funny how the character is called "monk" when everything he touches explodes the screen. I'm not complaining though.. he is my first character choice :)

I thought the same thing at times. I think it works very well playing solo, but as soon as they showed 4 players on a screen it became very chaotic.

Yeah, at first I didn't even realize there were four players on the screen because of all the explosion. I was really confused about what was going on.

But then thinking about it, when eight players are doing a baal run all you see are explosions and stuff, you just are familiar with the sounds and colors, as well as the classes in the game so nothing is as confusing.

I think we just need time to adjust to all the new spells and classes, and then we can judge on all the new effects.

posted a message on Fifth Class Brainstorm
I am most definitely thinking of a mix between a druid and an archer. Dark cloaked looking character with a bow, but wild looking.. straight out of the forest. Not the jungle like the witch doctor.

It might be nice to have a single basic summon. Like the necomancer has a golem, this new character has something along those lines. Like a wolf or a dog. Unfortunately, we already have a zombie dog looking thing though :P
