I just wish they would show some screen shots of something they haven't showed us yet, maybe two characters fighting a "special" monster in a different kind of area.Posted in: News

Jan 7, 2009pwnsickle posted a message on Bashiok On Diablo 3 Stat Points.I really don't think auto-stats is a bad idea. Like he said, there will be other ways to edit your character, I think the gear will give more stats then the gear in diablo 2.Posted in: News
Plus the reason everyone liked editing their own stats way because energy was barely needed after insight or all the other mana regen gear. Strength, everyone added just enough to equip the gear that they wanted, etc. So in a way diablo 2 was already auto-stat if you knew the "right" way to build a class. Every sorc or hammer pally had the same stats in the end, (but it could just be because they all pretty much had the same gear). Everyone stacked vitality to have a ton of health so they wouldn't die, to me it just seemed like everyone already had the same stats, so blizzard might has well of given us auto-stats. -

Personally, I like the four player limit. Just wish it was five sometimes for the "one of each class" party (:

The color yellow would look good, but I'm sure people would complain it's too much like the rogue in WoW.

And the seven sided strike or whatever it's called, can you do that twice in a row?

I mainly wanted these just for side quests since I really like the idea of them, I just don't want too many that it overwhelms the total progression of the story.

The barbarian in D2 never did it for me, but in D3 I really like the rage system and his attacks seem stronger.
I've played the sorc the most out of all of the classes, so the wizard I am not as excited about.
The monk, at first glance I thought "wow, this is really overpowered and confusing to watch with all these explosions". But when I heard about the combo system it got me thinking of how much fun it could be.
Right now it's a toss up between the witch doctor and the monk. I'm going to be faithful with my original choice and pick the WD
(the barb does look amazing though)

What if in Diablo 3, they decided to create more than one town in each act. You can start off each act in a place that isn't even a town (like the start of a trail), with a waypoint next to it and a trail you can follow. Then as you progress through the act by going through dungeons and paths, you encounter maybe three small towns in total. This gives a better progression through the game like you aren't constantly going back to the same area with the same NPC's for quests. It also leads to more traveling so you can find more "side quests" and kill more bosses/ rare elite monsters. Plus, bigger maps and more open spaces
Unfortunately, this leads to less of a "home feeling" you get when you can hang out in the Rogue Encampment, where everyone usually meets up in games with friends or you can just hang out and duel.
I'm thinking that blizzard is going to incorporate some type of PvP game you can join, where more players are. As well as a trading system. This doesn't mean you can't duel/trade in normal games though.

Like someone said, they aren't getting "more" loot, just a variety. Which could end up being a bad thing because they will get a ton of weapons they don't need and barely any armor. I'm sure blizzard will balance it out just fine though.
But, I'm thinking the last class will use light weapons like short swords, daggers and maces.. as well as a bow. It would be cool if they could kind of switch off like by pressing "w" in LOTD, but quicker and flowing better.
The only ones I know about were mentioned when the wizard was announced. They said only logical restrictions were being made of then. Like a wizard can't carry a 200 pound battleaxe.. even though it would look pretty funny
And I know now that the monk can only equip fist weapons and a combat bo.. since he was originally thought up to be an unarmed class.

Yeah, at first I didn't even realize there were four players on the screen because of all the explosion. I was really confused about what was going on.
But then thinking about it, when eight players are doing a baal run all you see are explosions and stuff, you just are familiar with the sounds and colors, as well as the classes in the game so nothing is as confusing.
I think we just need time to adjust to all the new spells and classes, and then we can judge on all the new effects.

It might be nice to have a single basic summon. Like the necomancer has a golem, this new character has something along those lines. Like a wolf or a dog. Unfortunately, we already have a zombie dog looking thing though
