Clan THM is an online community in the making, dedicated to competitive and legacy videgaming. We get together to play the games we like, no matter how old they are, which is now made possible more than ever through technologies like DosBox, Hamachi (LAN over Internet) and the overall rise in these games' popularity thanks to re-releases, modding communities, and the fact that modern games are getting less and less fun and are instead focusing on values that are driven by the hardware industry.

We have founded this site in order to celebrate our past but also discover modern games which uphold traditional gaming values. A couple of us founding members have been playing games by Blizzard Entertainment since the days of Warcraft 2, Diablo 1&2, Starcraft, and have been part of the Battle.Net community since its beginning. Other founding members are DotA veterans or personal friends who started gaming together when DotA 2 Closed Beta became available to us.

The clan is currently centered around a national DotA 2 team but we want to expand and make it an international community with its main focus on Diablo 3. We want to be ready for when RoS introduces clan support, ladders and PvP as a couple of us are very passionate about this game and we want to be able to organize fun events, leagues and tournaments like we used to do back in Diablo 2.

We welcome all like-minded people to join us now and help create what we hope will flourish into a rich community by the time RoS is released!

    Well, here goes nothing.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WQfhUP!ZYU!cZbZaZ

The point of this build is to be extremely mobile as a Barbarian with some added survivability. Wrath of the Berserker and passives selected for more flat crit rate, hopefully to be able to use Overpower as often as possible for the 7% life steal.

    Hey.

There's ~5 or so interesting blue posts that aren't reported by the tracker. Some of the replies are older than the ones reported and some of them are additional replies that also do not appear.

    Can you look into it?

    Nice drawing.

They should make a gameplay video with music from this game:

posted a message on Soul-Bound items. Good God No Please NO
So your point is that making end-game items BoE will mean that players need to play the game more to get items as opposed to not playing the game at all and just recycling the same crap. That might be a valid point for a game like D2 which lacks in content and really can't provide any thrills anymore and where getting gear through playing is nothing more than a repetitive grind.

If they want to promote playing and make it more rewarding (and then also exciting) by making the players experience content to get more gear rather than sit and trade, maybe that's actually not that bad...

It's simple as this: you get one end-game item and decide whether to equip it and use it or use it for trading purposes. You are not a child, you know exactly what your decision means. You decide to equip it, and then you find yourself without something that could otherwise be a trading good. What you do next is go and play the game more to try and get that item again. YOU GO AND PLAY THE GAME MORE DAMN IT. You don't just trade, trade, trade endlessly. Considering that you only need a very small and finite number of items on you, through your entire gameplaying span, you might actually keep about 20-50 end-game items you find (not trade for, find) and the rest you simply trade away. Once you get what you need, nothing is stopping you from trading the things you accumulate past that point.

But I can see how hard this can be to understand. It's so complicated, right?

Who said that she's from a middle eastern region?

Ivgorod doesn't sound Asian to me, it's more Slavic or something like that! ;)

It's been said by Blizzard that the monk is basically based on the orthodox archetype of a monk mixed with the Asian doctrine. A Slavic dude/girl who went to the East to school himself (herself).

Anybody else notice the lack of giant prayer beads form the female.

    Two words.

    Anal beads.

posted a message on Why is Blizzard trying to run this game like an MMO?
The comments about Pseudo-LAN are correct: basically they said they would support LAN but you just have to connect to B.Net once per session to authenticate your game.

I think this is pretty fair. If your LAN party has a single computer with internet connection, you're set. You just share the connection to boot up the games and then LAN it up.

    P.S. I don't care about LAN.
