Sep 22, 2010ErU posted a message on Level 60 capPosted in: NewsQuote from italofoca
For me this is awesome news. A level 60 cap means they can add extra levels in expansions, wich is a feature that i particulary love in wow and any other rpg.
Very sweet news.
Meaning that they didn't reduced to 60 because they were having problems with it, they want to make more money by releasing lame ass downloadable (must-buy) content to raise the cap and rip people off.
I have this strange, strange feeling that D3 is not going to live up to diablo's name(in other words, FAIL). And this is the kind of news that just enforces that.. -

What are Blizzard plans regarding the current battle.net channel?
Why?
As all of you know, Diablo is a fast-paced, click and go carnificine, but, besides that, it also has a very deep economy and trade system, and this trade system is based entirely in the Battle.net channels. Looking for a iK armor? Go to Trade-useast, Found an eaglehorn and not going to keep it, you now where to go.
The trading channel is a reference when it comes down to trading, but it has one major problem.. it's hella confusing, 40 people with all kind of diferent and huge names doing they're propaganda, and when that dual leech/pris ring you was looking for catches your eye you waste 9385393 minutes trying to look for the guy, or, you try to msg him... but /pm l33Tz_arrrVzszs02324 can take too long.... long enough for him to quit battle.net, to trade with someone else, to whatever.
If i had a soj for each deal i missed because when i finally got to msg the guy his response was ''sry, just sold it''... oh well, you've got the idea.
The battle.net channel needs a re-vamp, it needs to be fast, easy to use, and user friendly. So, Blizzard, what are the current plans? - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

My first impression of the game is: Not bad, but not good either, i understand some people are disappointed and the only reason i'm not one of them is because i wasn't expecting a lot to begin with.

You're missing the point, Blizzard is widely know for delivering top notch FINISHED products, but, since WoW, the quality of Blizzard games hugely dropped.
You really think it's normal for a game that has been under development for 6+ years to not have one of its core features by release? No, it's not normal, Blizzard know it's not normal but they are pushing a release anyway because D3 is taking way too fucking long, even for Blizzard standards.
The very same thing happened to Starcraft 2, chat channels were implemented 7 months after release, and clan support is estimated to be implemented in HotS, 2 years after release, all of them were promissed by Blizzard in a ''soon after release patch'', which didn't happened, to be honest, i wouldn't be surprised if we see pvp only in a D3 expansion.
About PvP not being competitive, Noob Wilson opinion on this is irrelevant, it's not his decision to make. If PVP gets popular, and dailys start to pop here and there, and tournaments like MLG, ESL, IEM start to support it, then it's blizzard loss. Most of the games we call ''esports'' weren't intended to be an esport in the first place, it's the community who makes the call if a game can be competitive or not.

I won't even say it is ridiculous, this just shows Blizzard massive incompetence on the development of the game(they had PLENTY of time), but seeing what blizz is doing with their other games is not surprising at all(battle.net 2.0, SC2 marketplace, cataclysm, mists of pandaria).
Oh, and just an additional piece of information, Blizzard said it would add clan support for SC2 on a patch after release, 2 years later and we are still waiting for that patch.

What you guys talking about? He is perfectly clear, where he lives(out of US, prob) a nissanZ goes for a lot more than 40k, so much more that even earning 75k a year, he can't afford it.
Its the same for me, here in Brazil a 370Z goes for about R$350k, which is about $190k US, its ridiculous.

I do agree with you, i would hate to see anything wow related in D3, but that same argument can be used for WoW, i mean, what lore can explain wirts third leg being in WoW?
Any items that eventually make it into D3 would be there just for fun/easter eggs aswell. And since Blizzard is also aiming for wow crowd, i'd say theres a fair chance some items make it into the game.

Who gives a damn about achievements? The only reward Diablo has is loot, thats why people play the game, its not about the story(no, you didn't killed baal 1249189051252 times because the lore is so rich), its not about the shiny graphics, its not about the challenge, its loot.
Whats the point of playing a much harder version of the game if we are not being rewarded for it?

It's not entirely improbable, Diablo is a casual game, and Blizzard has said many, many times that you can play alone through all the content, you can solo the game if you want to, which means inferno won't be this impossible feat that a many are thinking.
I do believe inferno will be harder than D2 hell, but it will not be that harder.

D3 inferno will be harder(2-3 times harder) than D2 hell.

Same gameplay and random loot fest, the only drastically different feature in D3 are AH. Anyway, not being ''revolutionary'' doesn't mean its bad, if its not broken don't fix it.
Skyrim is the big favorite for game of the year, thats a fact. Actually, the best thing Blizzard could do is NOT release D3 this year, so many big titles coming out..
