Dec 9, 2009Posted in: News & AnnouncementsQuote from "Don_guillotine" »Well the sole thing it brought was that after being thrown around on different platforms, at the end of the day it was given console-friendly controls, which was the thing that made it so popular.
Then what makes it better then other console-friendly fps's, like Golden Eye? It was just another game that just happened to stick as far as I can personally see. Yea, it was fun, but it had no story, it didn't do anything different, and it didnt add anything. At least Half Life 2 brought the idea of using physics as a weapon, even if the game was bleh.
Aug 22, 2009Hate to say this, a couple of your signatures cannot be used as it violates Rule 4D, one is 200 pixels tall and the other is 209, and you can only have a signature 150 pixels tall.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
Other then that, best of luck to your signature-making future!!!
Apr 25, 2009Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from "Atila23" »I know this has be brought up in other threads but i want a straight answer Are we going to have to pay to play D3 !?!? YES or NO
You will not pay monthly for this game.
Op question is answered. Multiple times. In multiple threads. Over multiple months.
Dec 17, 2008They have stated that there will be 5 classes upon release. They also stated that there may be more with expansions, so it would not be a far stretch to imagine at the very least 2 expansions with at the very least 1 character, though most likely 2 each, thus bringing us to at the minimum of 7, but realistically, when Diablo 3 and it's expansions are out, it is viable to say that there may be upwards of 9 characters that one could play.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Sep 29, 2008LinkX posted a message on is it just me or is the site running incredibly slow?Seems a little slow for me as well.Posted in: Site Feedback
Jun 13, 2008Alright, now that I am on my computer, here are my suggestions. The new ranks will be in Green while any ranks moved will have a blue * by it and any ranks replaced will be in red beside the rank that I believe should replace itPosted in: Site Feedback
The Specter 0
The Peasant 1-9
The Squire 10-49
The Man at Arms 50-99
The Swordsman 100-199
The Knight 200-499
The Knight of the Realm 500-999
The Knight of the Order 1000-1499
The Paladin 1500-1999 * (Replaces The Cavalier)
The Lord 2000-2999 (Replaces The Paladin)
The Duke 3000-399
The Duke of Tristram 4000-4999
The Emmisary 5000-7499*
Tran'ouls Right Hand 7500+
Of course this is just a rough draft that I came up with off the top of my head. Give me a few hours and I am sure I can come up with some much better ranks. (Though I do like the "Tran'oul's Right Hand" one if I do say so myself...)
(Edited to add Atru's "The Specter" idea...)

It is true that the film trilogy is different in its own respect to the book(s) but personally I feel the film trilogy succeeds in what the book(s) can never achieve: Music. Howard Shore is just genius.
No offense taken, I too don't have the luxury of reading and most books I've read (aside from Lord of the Rings) are less than 20, most of them consisting of the Warcraft franchise.

I just think that single player could be played online with our friends and fans game. You could login BNET with your char and look for friends online.
That's called multiplayer. It's an all new system blizz is implementing that has never been done in gaming before. Your wish will be granted.
Oct 16, 2010All trolling-accusations aside, Diablo 3 does not need a knight or anything resembling a knight, as the Barbarian will be able to take on a shield-using, defensive-minded role using the Juggernaut tier of skills. The Barbarian sufficiently covers the melee/shield-using/death machine categories in spades, so no "Knight" class is needed. I'm hoping for some sort of shape-shifting, ranged-capable Hunter/Druid combination class. My desires have sufficiently changed.Posted in: Unannounced Class
Oct 11, 2010Is quite fine.Posted in: Unannounced Class
Don't give a shit about knights and the less I see them the better because they're EVERYWHERE right now.
Monk is not the replacement of pally. The pally does not need a replacement. If you want a leader, anyone can do it (life is a bit more intelligent than US football, fortunately), if you're making the knight do it you're being cliche tbh. If anything, barb should do it since he's the oldest of the bunch it seems.

See, and others may find him consistent too. Consistently bad.
richard knaack is a great writer, he has a style, and is consistant with it.
So just how many fantasy and sci-fi books and how many years of having read them is required for our opinions to be informed?
I'm certainly not calling him a sellout. Who's saying that?
But let me guess...your opinion will be much, much more, right?
So in other words we don't have a right to criticize unless we can come up with something better, is that it? I thought all you needed to have an opinion about this topic was an immense collection of books as well as decades of reading experience. Are you saying you're a published author. Astonishing, again!
Fair enough. Except my complaint was not even about the plot, it was about the lack of character development which I personally, personally, find boring in novels. And it's not like Blizzard acting as editors are going to produce the best product. They're game developers not book publishers firsthand.
Humble, my ass.
Gosh, thanks. You couldn't be anymore sarcastic right now, but thanks for real!

x.X Seriously? Versus real maple syrup? You've got to be kidding!
My uncle owns a large stretch of forest where we used to have our family reunions every year. He just died, but the trees are still there with the black rubber tubes swinging from one to another. That syrup was always the best. If you have the money, the super-expensive syrup is always worth it, and you don't need a ton. Just a little goes a long way. You can feel the difference. It does something, something in your palette and your nose, in your throat and chest. It's weird. It's awesome. It should be a drug and made illegal so I can get angry at Republicans for banning it.

However, the reason I support Richard Dawkins and thunderf00t and many other amazing scientists out there is because they fight fire with fire. I personally feel that religion has been attacking the scientific method too long and they are trying to slow down the academic progress. It's just nice to see someone bash religion for their beliefs instead of the exact opposite, which happens to often.
Personally, I believe that the topic of religion is way too tabooed when it shouldn't be.
Sep 27, 2010Posted in: Off-Topic
This is an assumption you made on my statement, but I am pretty sure I just meant that where there are religious debates, things tend to get heated. But I don't know, I can be lying to myself
But honestly, you are right. I personally dislike religion and any other part of it. I believe that the fantasy of a supernatural deity slows down technological and scientific progress, which is essential for the survival of the human civilization. But before you go off saying this is a flame against religion, let me tell you that it is not. This is my personal belief on religion, and we are discussing it in a "share your religious beliefs" thread. I am not judgmental on people who are religious, as some of my closest friends are religious. I just do not wish religion to exist in the scientific arena because there are people out there (Kent Hovind) who will stop at nothing to eliminate scientific knowledge in our schools and substitute it with Biblical fantasies.
