You're right. It just means I have commitment and a willingness to learn.
Intelligence isn't measured in GPA, yes, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't mean anything. I don't have a good GPA (2.9), but that doesn't mean I don't know anything.
Now, this isn't about intelligence, this is about what marijuana does to your comprehension and intellect. Now, saying I smoke once a month (not a chronic smoker, mind you) and yet I still am able to pick up complicated math formulas like I pick up my clothes, what does that say?
I know many friends who smoke pot that are very smart. No, I'm not just saying this, it's factual. I've known them since elementary school and we have intellectual discussions almost every time we hang out.
The thing about pot is that it's just something to do, like video games and learning guitar. Now, if I just sat at home and learned guitar, would people say I had a problem? Most people would say "no" because they think I'm doing something productive. It isn't the nature of the act, it's what's gained through doing it. I could practice guitar all day long and not take a peek outside, but if all I do is sit at home and do that, then I'm not learning much else, am I?
Same thing with pot. You can sit at home and smoke pot all day, you're probably not going to get nothing done. The thing to take into account, though, is that not everybody who smokes pot does it 24/7. Shit, I'll smoke if it was offered (unless I can't smoke it then because I'm afraid of my clothes smelling), but I won't smoke every hour of every day. I have school, dude.
The assumption is that people who smoke pot have nothing better to do. Prove it, I dare you. :whistling:
Quote from Warlord55
No offense to your doctor friends but I would hate to have them as my doctors, sure they may now what to do when shit hits the fan but they obviously don't want to keep their body as healthy as it could be.
Warlord, I'm really happy for you and Imma let you finish, but prescribed drugs are one of the most addictive substances of all time. You mean to tell me that doctors lose their credibility once they prescribe marijuana to CHEMO patients and those suffering from chronic pain? Why does this sound familiar? Oh yeah, because doctors also dole out prescriptions for painkillers like Celebrex, whose side effects include, but are not limited to:
Heart attack
Stroke
Stomach bleeding
Does marijuana cause those things? Didn't think so... -

If you go to war to push you religion, and in that war people have died, your religion is officially not peaceful, and your religion is officially built on only the very simple concept of Might Makes Right...Quote from -MephistoThe prophet Muhammad went to war. There were tribes back then, and when he was spreading his message, many naturally opposed him. What was he to do? Give up? Bribe them? He went to war, he won many, and he went into many cities.
Even wars in self-defense, the negative consequences of those wars are not justified, cannot be overlooked, cannot be ignored, forgiven, forgotten, or whatever, by any code that I care about.
You went to a war, you have no business being a prophet. You have no business saying you are peaceful. You have no business preaching love and forgiveness. -

Why wouldn't they? This whole thing is masked by "family values". Y'know...
Billy: "Dad, can I have a nickel to go to the movies?"
Dad: "Have you washed the dishes?"
Billy: "Yeah, dad. I washed the dishes, put them away, prayed twice in the bathroom, gave my sister a hug, and picked up all my clothes."
Dad: "Then yeah, Billy. Now, stay away from the pot smokers along the way. They'll castrate you with their herb grinders and roll your genitals into their joints."
Billy: "Sure thing, dad. I love you."
Dad: "You're okay too, son."
... god damnit, I hate this kinda shit. The way to keep kids off drugs is to talk to them about it. No, don't let the propaganda machine D.A.R.E do the talking, sit the fuck down with your kid and tell them what's right and what's wrong. Instill a firm belief in moderation and tell them the consequences of a drug dependence. -

Quote from Irrational
Everything in life is just a really complex molecular properties, because everything is made up of molecules. Molecules are really the most complex atomic combination, and it everything else is just "teamwork". Like a soccer team. You can make the argument that alone, the soccer team cannot win, but if it works as a team, it wins. It really works the same way (but a lot more complex).
So, according to your "everything is made up of molecules" the things that actually constitute molecules...are....uhhh...wait...THEY'RE ALSO MADE UP OF MOLECULES? You just divided by zero.
Umm... We are made up of molecules and atoms. I thought that was a trivial essence of the universe, or has my entire science education lied to me? Yes, we have atoms in us, so I wish you can please forgive my lack of ability of writing "and atoms" after molecules.
Also, you are getting emotional about this. I did not "divide by zero". I merely thought that anyone who has any sense of scientific knowledge would understand my statement, and you seemed have demonstrated until this point that you have some level of science. I hoped that you can see through that and know that I know things are made up of atoms, quarks, neutrons, electrons, protons, etc.
By saying that everything is made up of molecules, it would be like saying that all life is made up of cells. You make the assumption that people know that you understand that cells are not the smallest entity of matter. I am sorry for taking that assumption and I will make myself clearer next time. -

ive just been stating things that ive been taught or read about; i dont think im qualified enough to make my own groundbreaking, earthshattering revelations...yet
biologists have a job, and our job is to unravel some of the secrets of nature, in doing so we come up with all sorts of ethical/moral and philosophical dilemmas for ourselves but thats for the politicians to worry over.
but trust me, next time i get sick ill goto the doctor and ask him if i have a soul before anything else, otherwise i might not be alive, and he wouldnt have to, you know, do his job.
jkjk.

Jamoose posted a message on Blizzard and the free masonsHello everyone, i recently discovered something quite interesting.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
The newest Blizzard battle.net logo has masonic and satanic clues in it. The triangle in the middle, and those 6 twisted lines that form this shape.
the triangle resembles the all seeing eye on top of the pyramid. A Masonic symbol for the all-seeing eye of god - a mystical distortion of the omniscient (all-knowing) Biblical God. You can find it on the $1 bill.
And the 6 lines who are connected to the number 666 which resembles some kind of connection to an apocalyptic monster that appears briefly about two-thirds into the Apocalypse vision who in modern culture resembles the Devil.
So there you go, the founders of Blizzard or at least the people who are in charge at the moment are connected to the Free Masons. They are probably Pawns that have almost nothing to do with any of the conspiracy theories that we know of but they serve as a structure for a much greater organization which controls our world.

SFJake posted a message on Sword and Shield Vs Dual WeildDepends on how well the animation are done in the final game.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Take Dragon Age. I like 2 handed weapons but the animations are so horrid I never use them. If it looks or feels bad, I won't use it even if its mile better than other options.
Also depends on the game mechanics... how useful is a shield? Is the difference in damage that huge?
How can anyone have their mind set on such a question at this time is beyond me, unless you -really- have a known preference for a style. And my only preference is one weapon (preferably a sword), alone, nothing in the other hand. You heard me. -

Anyways, I certainly don't want anyone to think that I believe my own argument to be 100% foolproof or anything. I mostly want to encourage people to think critically rather than just believing everything they're told (especially by people with power).
Do some research, look into the statistics of what you're talking about and develop your opinions based on investigation, not on other people's opinions. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Oh I don't doubt that Blizzard people are on this forum. I also don't doubt there are Blizzard people on forums for Warcraft, Assassins Creed, Halo, Zelda, and Metal Gear Solid. Now, being assigned is another story...

Of course this is just a rough draft that I came up with off the top of my head. Give me a few hours and I am sure I can come up with some much better ranks. (Though I do like the "Tran'oul's Right Hand" one if I do say so myself...)
(Edited to add Atru's "The Specter" idea...)
