posted a message on 1 Billion XP/Hour Torment 6 - Solo Wizard Build (Video)
After doing some fairly efficient Torment 6 Act 1 Cathedral 4 group clears, I got to thinking about a solo variation for similar XP gains by skipping elites. The result is a modified Frost Orb build which relies on Teleport/Wormhole to quickly move ~2 screens away from elites when you encounter them so they don't follow you.

Check out the run - it came out to 1 Billion XP/Hour. In previous testing I've reached 1.5, so I think 1.25 averaged is realistic. Cathedral 4 is great for consistent farming because it's always a square layout - you just have to figure out what part of the square you're starting in.

    Quote from Minon

Ah my bad. I guess it might be worth it but if it takes like 1h for 10 pool then u need like at least 1b/lvl to get 100mil each pool instead of getting say 1b/hr. And still you got the risk of death so dont see the point.
The point is not to die. A 25% multiplicative XP gain is a HUGE buff, especially at higher paragon levels.

The point, again, is to reward players for not playing carelessly.

Aren't pools capped at 250mil xp? I remember some1 saying something like that.
I don't know about that. I do know there's a 10 stack limit. I guess I'll find out. I plan on doing a follow-up video in the future to make this even more efficient (possibly in a different area as well), but need to do more testing first.

Stacking Pools of Reflection is crucial to maximizing your XP/hour, particularly once you reach higher Paragon levels where each pool stack becomes more valuable. In this video I show you a quick way to get a stack every 5 minutes or so.

Farm a few stacks (you can have as many as 10), then pop into your difficulty of choice and enjoy the huge XP boost. Just don't die.

posted a message on Torment 6, Act 1, Cathedral 4 Group XP Run - 1.3 Billion XP/Hour (Video)
After doing some T6 A3 runs, we decided to back off a little and head back to A1 Cathedral 4 full clears. We're simply not geared enough to farm A3 efficiently - elites take too long and we suffer too many deaths to make the run optimal. However, we are geared enough for a quick A1 clear.

No gimmicks, no tricks, just a simple, repeatable clear. There's nothing to fix here. Monster density isn’t special, there aren't any hidden quests or guaranteed chests - just normal demon slaying.

We clocked in at 1.3 Billion XP/Hr. I think 1.5 is doable with a bit better gear and organization (no deaths). Stay tuned as I continue to search for high XP zones that Blizzard won't change tomorrow.

    50% Community Event buff + 30% group multiplicative buff + T6 bonus + Hellfire + Ruby = 3078% bonus XP. Enjoy:

With around 750k Toughness and 200k DPS, you can. It'll be a little slow and you'll probably need to group up, but it's within reach.

    posted a message on Torment 6 Act 3 Group - 3000% XP Bonus, 1 Billion XP/Hour (Video)
I thought it would take a few more days before we could group farm Act 3 Torment 6, but it looks to be doable now. Still far from being efficient and I think T6 A1 Cathedral 4 clears are better for the next week or so, but we made it through with a reasonable amount of deaths.

XP grinding is going to explode since the 50% multiplicative bonus was announced earlier today. With a full group at T6, I was sitting at 3078%, including a Hellfire ring and Ruby gem. Even though the run was a bit sloppy, it came out to 1bil XP/hour had we moved a tad faster (official count was 954m). The only harder content would be Act 4 Silver Spire farming on T6, but there's not much of a reason to touch that now.

I'm still doing some XP testing at the various Torment difficulties and I hope to have another video soon as I search for the highest sustainable, no-gimmick run. Enjoy:

    Quote from Mushies

I'm giving this a shot on t3, with 250k dmg and 750k toughness. It's a pretty fun spec to play so far, with quite a bit more durability than I had in my previous build. I wish I could get some +cold damage gear to drop for me. :)
Archon crafted bracers can roll up to 15% elemental damage.

Finally geared up enough (broke 1 mil Toughness at ~350k DPS) to solo the XP route in Act 3 on Torment 6. Keep Depths 2 + Rakkis Crossing both have high density and choke points you can use to your advantage.
The frost build relies on Mirror Images and Slow Time for permanently slowed mobs with plenty of freezes and stuns, both of which are mandatory in Torment 6 with lower gear if you want to live.

This is a first proof of concept video to show you guys that it can be done and what kind of game mechanics you'll most likely be using. It doesn't require any 2.0 legendaries, so anyone can gear up for this. With certain items like Winter Flurry and Frostburns, this build will become truly OP. I hope to have another video soon after I acquire better gear to do this more efficiently, along with group farming for sick XP.

    posted a message on T5 Group A3 Run - 600-700 M/Hr, No Gimmicks (Video)
    Hey guys,

Piggybacking off my earlier video about a high density A3 route, today we grouped up for some semi-organized T5 A3 farming. Keep Depths 2 + Rakkis Crossing backwards comes out to at least 600m/hr, including deaths, backtracking, and unnecessarily long elite kills. With some better gear and organization, 700m/hr at T5 is very doable. Group composition doesn't matter too much, but a Pull Monk or Hurricane WW Barb is highly preferable so AOE can be focused.

    http://youtu.be/HeJD2nPDoWE

This is the full run so you guys can see it start to finish without any gimmicks or anything for Blizzard to 'fix'. T5 XP with Ruby gem, Hellfire ring, and a full group is just above 1600%. I hope to be running T6 soon, where above 1b/hr will be the next benchmark. Let me know what you think.

posted a message on Latest Power Leveling - Wretched Mother Quest LVL 45 Instantly
The latest and greatest to get hotfixed is here for your viewing pleasure. Blizzard fixed the excessive power leveling achieved by joining a higher level game with geared players and leeching XP, but in doing so they either neglected or forgot to 'fix' the XP granted by killing all 3 Wretched Mothers. The initial power leveling has been reduced to a reasonable rate, but this is still busted. Good ol' 2.0. Enjoy!

posted a message on What is the approx max sheet dps achievable in RoS?
I think that's going to be extremely hard to determine, especially when you factor in class specific passives, %skill damage affixes, %elemental damage affixes (which sometimes contend with CC/CD/AS), and legendary procs. Straight sheet DPS though - I've seen 1 mil around a few streams recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere around 2 mil is the 'max'. This is pure speculation on my part though.

posted a message on Video - Torment 1 Frost Wizard Speed Farm Build (T6 Capable) PTR 2.0.1
Hey guys, I just tested a frost wizard T1 speed farm build. 1 shots everything, elites down in 5 seconds or less while you take next to no damage. I tested it on stream in Torment 1-5. It slowed down significantly in late 4/early 5 and I believe it's perfectly capable in T6 but my hardware needs upgrading due to lag spikes while streaming, which causes me to die in the higher difficulties where more kiting is required. Therefore, I stopped after Azmodan T5.

    Video is here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vE5fCvv6I8

    -

Full recorded stream, including crafting and T1-5 incremental progression can be found here: http://www.twitch.tv/meatheadmikhail/b/505792332

    -

This is probably going to be my initial build going into 2.0.1. With a bit of tweaking I think I can start in T2 and run at the same pace since T1 is currently overkill.

Let me know what you think. I'm loving 2.0, don't even want to play Live anymore.

    Quote from MeatHeadMikhail

    - The idea behind the video is to maximize your character BETWEEN the time of 2.0 (rumored to be out in less than 2 weeks) and RoS release. Of course if you purchase RoS everything you currently have will be replaced in short order, but that doesn't mean you can't spend the time enjoying the game and getting those account-wide paragon levels quick.
Is there any point in maximizing a character for a period of 2-3 weeks?
By that logic, is there a point in playing on Live right now for the next week/week and a half? Considering the XP curve is significantly easier in 2.0?

Answer: because you can. A head start is a head start, no matter how small it may seem. Take paragon levels for instance. While P300 is a lot easier to achieve in 2.0, those who start at P300 will still be ahead ... by 300 levels.

Thanks for the feedback guys. A couple points:

    - It was pointed out to me that tomes were in fact getting switched to DE's. Kind of annoying for those who spent time farming DE's, but it's ok. It just means that Common Debris is now the bottleneck.
