I understand the need to have ad's on your website but can we please have them disabled for members that are logged in. The new ones are really annonying.
I think its just the one at the top that is bothering a little. But anyway if they were to disable it for logged in member then they wouldn't make as much because that is quite a number that won't be clicking. It is up to them though
Yeah, and a lot of us really want to get them to do a server upgrade, and with ads taking away a little of the cost of keeping this up, it *might* get us that
I know there was a thread already about the ads on the front page, but I want people to see this and I feel more people would read a new thread then an addition to an old one.
Having ads on the front page doesn't bother me what bothers me and I am sure Blizzard wont find this very helpful is the fact that the ads are about hacks for blizzard games, gold buying sites, etc. Why are we associating ourselves with websites and ads like this that tarnish Blizzard's games?
I know if I was a game company and I had one of my main fansites advertising hacks and gold buying I wouldnt be to pleased and I sure as hell wouldnt coroperate with them.

You may not choose the ads, but Blizzard can choose to remove your link from thier official Diablo 3 website, or not give you any fansite appreciation exclusives if they don't like those ads.
I use Firefox with the "Adblock Plus" add-on. It completely removes the adds and shifts the page so that you can't even tell there was supposed to be a banner ad there. I highly recommend it.

QFT...
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
I realize that now.
I strongly suggest it instead of having WORLDOFWARCRAFT hacks on the homepage.
It makes Blizzard link to a site that links to hacks.
Why do you suggest that?
Oh yeah, I forgot about NoScript -- it's also very good. Saved me from keyloggers more than once, I'm sure
