And idc if theyd had PvP at blizzcon or not, it wouldnt have changed the poll mich at all, becaus if it wasny on the top of your list of importance, its not going to change by showing it off, its not whats that important to those people. And no, sorry, it isnt everyone thinking about D2 PvP, anyone knows, NEW GAME, NEW IMPLEMENTATION, atleast we all know D3 is going to, so relax, its just what the people at blizzcon thought, and even if its not completly accurate, its pretty close, may have been 5-8%, but npretty accurate.

So what do you think topped out the list of important features that players cared about after playing the demo at blizzcon this year? I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess it might've been something to do with the BRAND NEW MONK class that was just announced and playable in the demo. Yup, that sounds like a pretty exciting feature that people might have wanted to talk about immediately after playing the demo... Once again the only conclusion we can really take away from that poll is that players weren't very excited about pvp after playing the demo, which didn't even include pvp. Honestly, the 3% figure is probably just a stream-of-consciousness ballpark figure Jay provided in the interest of making that point. Not that I really even care about it, but I guess it'd be nice to have more information on this poll, seeing as how you continue to totally misinterpret it. As far as I can tell, the poll didn't even address pvp specifically. Its no surprise that players wouldn't be excited about it since blizzard has only just begun to talk about their plans for pvp in D3. So people at blizzcon weren't mostly excited about pvp, but if you read the quote Jay explains that is probably because people were thinking of pvp in D2. I can use this whole forum as evidence that many players are down on pvp if for no reason other than the pk issue. I think you take pking away and throw in a few cool new features and suddenly pvp becomes much more exciting across the entire D3 audience.

Seriously, why are we even talking about this poll? The point of the article was to give us an idea of where blizzard might be going with D3... and not to give us statistical data to analyze and misinterpret.

I completely agree, Emil. There was a general population (at least from my experience) that preferred not to go around smashing newbies.

Most times I rolled around on a little level 49 'zon dueling in hell games prior to 1.11 coming out. It consumed my time.

I love how douche bags are upset that they can't go out and ruin someones experience of D3. TPPKers are finally getting what they had coming to them, an omission from D3. They never said they were going to remove PvP, they just said that the hostile system is generally unneeded for PvP. If an arena was implemented it would make dueling tournies much easier to organize, and there could be wagers and prizes and all kinds of perks and acheivments.

I'd be totally down for an arena-style system. It'd be nice to constantly have good and challenging duels. It seems like the hostile system in D2 grew stale as soon as people found out they could get a rise out of people simply by hostiling, throwing hammers everywhere and continuously killing defenseless opponents. Of course, maybe it's different with the expansion duels, I only cared for Diablo II classic duels.

The poll is completly fins as an argument, the aspects of it that deal with PvP anywhay which is simply arguing that not alot of people were very concerned with it. And heres the thing, I think it was what feature of D3 are you most exited about, so the monk alone, isnt a feature, maybe classes as a whole could be a feature, but not just one.. And the other thing, we will never know what was really on that survey outside of the PvP question, unless they release it, or somomne that atteneded and remembers, tells us (pleasse ?).

And the second note, is this. It is indeed comical to see how many ppl are bitching HOSTILITY WAS THE BIGGEST PART OF D2, LEAVE IT ALONE. When in reality everyones seen alot fewer people complaining that its gone. But, that doent really matter, because after D3s been out awhile, whatll happen? What haappened when we played D2 so much that we could do Diablo and Baal runs in our dreams? Somebody made mods. Again, the quote said that the marketplace would not be crossing over to Diablo III :rolleyes: And since there isn't trading in StarCraft, I don't think it would have been a trading system, it was probably like the XBox Live Marketplace where you can buy extra maps and stuff for fees.
