Very nice post micahmatthews I don't know if you remember me, but anyways....
I would be surprise if Blizzard didn't make some character from Diablo (1)/2 get "corrupted". Every Blizzard franchise has had one "corrupted" character (Kerrigan, Arthas, main character from Diablo (1). So, I think Tyrael (Errr... Tyreal, LOL) would be a very likely, and possibly interesting character to be the next one to be "corrupted".

No, I'm laughing at the people who spell it "Tyreal" like he's from the projects; a lot of people think that Tyreal sounds like a black project name, and have made jokes at the misspelling. I was just putting in there as a joke since this is a topic about Tyrael.
Anyone else think that in this picture at the very top the one shielding his eyes looks like Tyrael and the other angel is possibly his superior. I think its the scene where Tyrael is cast out of heaven.
I don't know if this has been said before here, but I had a thought ... What if it has nothing to do with corruption, but the fact that Tyrael was cast out from "Heaven" because he interfered in the events of mankind.
Since the time span of Diablo (1) - Diablo 2 wasn't that long, the Angels could just now be finding out about the Demons interfering with mankind, so they want to get involved (But, maybe still punish Tyrael, because it was still "illegal" then.) ... I don't know why it took them 20 years, though. Just spouting ideas as I get them. Take them with a grain of salt...

Hmm... That sounds interesting.. I will think on this, and maybe post about it later.. Good job. I never really thought about Tyrael not being the one at the top.

Because the armor from the angel on top isn't Tyraels armor, it has wings on it.

Right. Okay, now you do realize that it's concept art, right? Which means it could mean nothing in regards to the story. And also, if you look at the top picture:
I've highlighted the part I want you to notice in green. The figure is obviously an angel, since he has wings, too. He also looks like he might be holding a sword in his right hand (your right, the character's left.) Hmm... Azure Wrath, anyone? Ding ding ding! Survey says: Tyrael!
The other angel could be a completely different angel from Tyrael, perhaps another of the Angiris Council or an angel not of the Angiris Council. Prehaps Izual brought back from the Abyss he was sent to after the hero slayed him in Diablo II in the Plains of Despair in Act IV. Perhaps it is Inarius himself.

My guess is the angel on top is the one casting Tyrael out of heaven and Tyrael is the one on the bottom left.
Because there isn't one. What's up with you Magistrate? You're a Council Member, aren't you supposed to be discouraging assumptions and not making them?
The TOP is concept art, but the other ones are gameplay or something. The armor doesn't match whatsoever to Tyraels on the main site. Notice the wings on the helmet, the shoulders, the glowing cross on the guys chest.

LOL, GAMEPLAY?!
Everything in that image is concept art Daemaro, and the cross only shows in 1 image.
This could easily be Tyrael. I'm not saying it is for sure. Stop being ridiculous and close-minded.

he doesnt have a superior he's a member of the Angiris council... maybe ex-member now
That doesn't mean there aren't stronger angels.
well i didnt know what type of superior you meant, i thought you meant by rank, not by ability :O
Well I think most likely they all decided he interfered too much and decided to kick him out of heaven. (whether he is good/evil now or not, I dunno)

I cant see a sword

What is?
It's concept art, you guys really need to get out of the habit of saying things like they're facts.
It COULD be Tyrael, perhaps it is not though.
The angel above is not Tyrael the armor does not match at all...
