By giving him wings on his helmet and shoulders?
Many are under the impression that Diablo grew 2 extra HEADS out of NOWHERE. (Not my stance, see three-Headed Demon forums) From that perspective, a change of armor isn't so crazy.

I think it's very possible that Tyrael may be corrupted now, but I don't think that angel is him. I think that's the angel that cast him out of heaven in the form of a fiery meteor.

It's much nicer to see I THINK before your speculation than otherwise.
That's what I'm thinking. Most likely a angel in charge or more powerful than Tyrael punishing Tyrael for meddling in mortal affairs and destroying the world stone. The angel casts Tyrael to earth in the form of the meteor then Tyrael either becomes evil, or is held captive as a means of power for the demons somehow. Something like that.
Any thoughts on where Tyrael's been the last 20 years?
I was thinking about that too, maybe he's been in Heaven on trial for what he did, or maybe he's been holding off the demons most of the time. I mean there WAS 20 years of peace.
I dont understand why ppl want tyreal to be evil HOW COULD HE!!!! he gave you 2 skill points in diablo2 someone that generous cant become evil

Also, perhaps Tyrael's death and corruption in the destruction of the worldstone sent him back to heaven, where the angels learned of his corruption, and had him imprisoned to keep him from descending to hell and leading it's armies against them.

He might be tired of getting kicked around and crap for protecting humans so is joining up with the demons in order to assault Heaven. OR he might be corrupted after falling into the church, or he might not be evil at all who knows.
yeah, tyrael could end up being a pure angel after all of this. i'm hoping to see him corrupted though. anyone hear speculation that we get to fight him?

Well if he is indeed corrupted or has went completely against Heaven we might have to put him down.

i dont like it neither, but the facts are too obvious to ignore the chance that he might get corrupted... hell i wish it doesnt happen but sometimes you gotta know when you might be wrong and you might not get what you want
Holy $hit, it took me 20 freakin minutes to try and log in!
Forget just Tyrael, I want to fight the whole Angiris council! I want to fight off both the high heavens and the burning hells, whether or not I can use the "oh that angel was corrupted so I had to kill him" excuse.

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

If they could fit that into the storyline somehow that'd be neat, not sure how it'd work though.

Im not being close minded. I just really don't think its Tyrael. No other depiction of Tyrael makes him look that way.
You know, there is a HUGE possibility that Tyrael is corrupted in Diablo 3. One would think it would affect his appearance.

We can be friends now.

Maybe, there's a lot going on in that one.
