Some people are into that. How about an orc from Lord of the Rings? Oooh, maybe even Sauron himself.
As it would be impossible for an Angel(Lucifer: I.E. Satan) to lead a revolt against God since they don't have free will like human beings it is easy to determine that hell doesn't exist.
I will now counter a couple arguments anyone may wish to throw at that:
1. No religion believes that angels have free will so defending christianity would be useless.
2. If god made Lucifer lead his revolt(Which if the story of Lucifer is true God would have had to have done) then that would mean god created the means for evil to flourish which would go against basically all religion.

1. Angels are a myth/misunderstanding/misinterpretation of the truth. They are the souls of unborn or deceased or even resurrected individuals who are acting as messengers for God. They do not have wings and are human, thus they do have free will. This is according to my religion.
2. Lucifer led his own revolt because he thought he had a better plan for saving the souls that God would send to earth. Basically his plan was to save everyone by taking away our free will. This went against God's plan because we need to be able to make choices in life in order to grow and learn, so Lucifer's plan was discarded. Of course we all know what happened then: Lucifer got angry and convinced a third of the host of heaven that he was right, thus rebelling against God, and they all fell from grace. Lucifer became Satan, and the third of the souls that would have otherwise been born normally into bodies on earth chose to follow Satan and became what we call demons. This is also according to my religion.
Doesn't matter if you believe me or not, but this is what I believe happened.

It is maintained that the more powerful angels (I.E. Archangels and the like) do have free will, at least in accordance to Jewish mythology.
1. Christianity obviously does support that idea, or Satan wouldn't have been able to disobey god. There isn't a verse in the bible that says otherwise.
2. No, god created Lucifer, and Lucifer decided on his own to disobey. God wouldn't have created the means for evil to flourish, he just would have allowed Lucifer to deal with the consequences of not doing as he was supposed to. Sin is supposed to be the absence of doing what is right.
i dont want to sound like an ass, or anything like that, but take all your ideas on hell, and just throw them away. Imagine Hell as the worst thing ever, actually, you probably cant even comprehend how bad it is, its so bad, that our minds cant comprehend it. pain beyond imagination, terrible terrible things to see that you cant even imagine. its like your worst nightmare multiplied by and infinate number.
Interesting. In this sense, it's like existing in more dimensions than the brain can comprehend. But it seems like exposure to it would be brainkill, your thoughts would cease to exist.

I agree. Its the same way I feel about Heaven. Oh my god, and I thought fluffy white clouds were bad enough! I can't imagine it getting worse than that.
haha, no seriously though, if Heaven and Hell really are absolute polar opposites, then there is no way we could comprehend either of them. Our minds are too tainted by both sides to be able to entirely eliminate either of them from our imagination. Our views of Heaven are too sinful, and our views of Hell are too tainted by the good ways in which we are treated on Earth.
I really don't think it exists. If the bible told you that pizza was evil and could grow claws and mutilate your intestines would you believe it? I really wouldn't take anything the bible says to close to heart. I mean, god is really just a concept created to explain the unexplainable. People have been doing it for years. But god just seemed to stick.
i would like to see hell not as one type of level. if you have it bloody then it sorta leaves the lack of the flaming hell. and vice versa. i would like to see maybe levels of hell. sorta like diablo 1 gameplay. or like the 9 levels of hell. (or how many numbers there actually are i can never remember) that way you could have a veriety of hell. like one level is bloody another is molten, dark abyess, mental trap, and stuff like that.
Yeah, that's how the Jewish Hell/Heaven is done- 7 levels of each, I believe, and you go to one based on how "bad" you were or something of that nature. Earth would, of course, be in the middle.

I can't imagine a bloody hell very well.
"Cards and flowers on your window, your friends all plead for you to stay,
sometimes beginnings aren't so simple, sometimes goodbye's the only way."
You don't need to. Just play Diablo 1.
And I voted "Dark Abyss". I like the quiet type of thing and the "Flaming Hell" is too overused.

I still go with Dark Abyss since it's the darkest and the most depressing.
