So... was looking at the last time I was in here, and I was saying I would eventually re-install Diablo 3 and give it another shot. Should I get the expansion though? I hear that it's much better with the expansion... and really just better in general than when the game first came out (because of patches). Is this true? Does the game have a true Diablo feel to it? Is Diablo 3, in a sense, like the glory days of Diablo 2? I just need a motivation boost to re-install the game / buy the expansion I guess.

Yeah I remember you Jamoose! And Stormy too! Good to hear from you guys again! I still haven't installed D3 yet... it's gonna happen though I have the motivation to do it but my free time to do it is typically like 11pm when I'm tired. Wah wah wah. It'll happen.

Yeah same here. I think it's just one of those things that come with age. That Religion Vs. Science thread, although funny to an extent, makes me twitch... lol.

By the way... Ferret, if you see this post, do you remember (and I only remember vaguely, but the memory is there!) playing LoD with me back in the day??

Tavern of Jay clan is the best idea I've heard... since... ever. I will re-install D3 and pick up RoS if this idea is entertained a little more.

I just skimmed through the Religion Vs. Science thread... I used to be such a doofus... I'm sorry for anyone who has to put up with my horrible grammar in that thread, as well as my "arguments." I've came a long way in 4 years.

*Finds Murderface in the corner mumbling in a drunken stupor, stands him up and walks him to one of the old dusty chairs.* "Snap out of it, man! It was only one beer!"

I think I'm going to reinstall D3 (I don't have the expansion yet) and give it another go. I'll wait a little while to see if you guys see this in a hour or two. If you want to play just let me know.

I went back through many of my old threads last night... I was literally laughing out loud... my wife was just rolling her eyes when I told her I was reading forum threads on a video game site from years ago - it was great. I would like to see more old-timers here too and get some of the nostalgia back... I think the only way to do it though is to create new threads for discussion topics (who would have ever guessed on a forum). What I mean is... the General Discussion and Off Topic threads are where I personally feel a lot of the older members are going to get their fill from... and if we only have all these new threads about the game (which is cool too - we need those and if I start playing again I will definitely get in them) then where are we going to shoot the breeze, laugh, discuss philosophy and science, conspiracies, etc. ?

I'm trying to remember how SICK crumbled... I can't really remember. I think a lot of the old-timers just got bored after D3 actually came into being... also I think many fell victim to playing it when it was first released and not liking it. Plus, many of us got older and our lives started to pick up (I joined the forum when I was) - I joined the forum when I was 14 or 15 and I'm 23 now. However, as I told Murderface I am going to try to become more active, just for the sake of good conversation. Good to hear from you again!

I remember our d2 LoD days Ferret... we were both godly lol... good times

If you decide to let me know how it goes - I'm interested in hearing if they reply :D

So what do you do these days though? Going to school? Working? What do you spend your days doing?

*Looks at the concoction... "For Carloseus! Down the hatch!"*

Unfortunately I have not kept in contact with anyone. For a while I did with Ferret when we played D2 LoD but those days have ceased... Yeah I've been gone basically since D3 came out. As we both know, this community lived off of the hope D3 would become a reality - once it did everybody was thinking "now what?" I tried D3 when it first came out and was pretty disappointed... I've been thinking of trying it again because I hear the recent patches and new expansion really helped it a lot.

Anyways, I would like to become more active but mostly for just good conversation more than anything. I was part of many great discussions on these forums and would love to get into some again. Good to see you're still around Murderface! Nice hearing from you again!

Okay, wow. First of all the Off-Topic forum's description says, "Play forum games, discuss conspiracy theories, post your stand-up comedy routine, whatever. All your random thoughts and spam should be directed here. Posts in this forum are not counted towards your post count."

Secondly, I never said I believed it wasn't real, only that I was leaning that way. Did the event happen? Yes - I am just currently questioning whether it went down as the media portrayed and was curious as to whether other people felt the same way. If no one is interested that is perfectly fine. Sorry if I struck you two the wrong way, it wasn't an attempt to piss anyone off but I guess that comes with touchy subjects.

posted a message on Entertaining GIF thread

UPDATE: Okay I have to tell the story I have about his gif, hopefully someone finds it humorous... I was in my software engineering course and the class was pretty big. It was in a decent lecture hall that could hold around 100 people or so. My best friend who I had been going through the CS program with, in the middle of lecture is on Reddit (as he always was) and I just happened to look at his computer screen when this gif was up. I DIED. I actually kept it together and didn't cause a scene in class but it was close... I FINALLY composed myself and get tuned back into lecture. All was going swell. About 10 minutes later my buddy nudges my arm and whispers "Hey can you take a look at this?" I just assumed he wanted me to look at some of his code... NO ... he had literally full-screened this gif... I FREAKIN DIED... I had to apologize to the professor mid lecture because I'm telling you.. I killed his train of thought I was laughing so hard... Now you know my story behind the marching zebra.

Okay... I know it's relatively old news in the world we live in today (and no I am not making light of the tragedy). HOWEVER... I have recently (I have no clue why - I think maybe my 2nd amendment rights advocacy has started having a twitch) been intrigued with the Sandy Hook tragedy. The details of the event and whether or not Adam Lanza was even a real person. I'm not one to be a conspiracy theorist but the evidence I have read seems to have me leaning towards something fishy went on with this whole ordeal. Anyways, any thoughts?
