Guys, i just got my hands on this thing... You can play sc2 just by yourself, i mean no opponent, no ai, you just start with a random race and you can do whatever you like. Its like a "Sandbox". So google it if you wanna mess with some sc2 units
Gave it a shot but my client locks up, gets to the black screen and the SC2 cursor then nothing, gotta ctrl alt delete it. Makes no sense.
Why? Well its the need to play sc2. People who didnt get into the beta are dying to lay their hands on anything sc2 related. A sandbox mode is a pretty "huge" thing, For some people that is.
I don't blame you. I've done my fair share of P2P'ing (mostly PSX and PS2 emulators for games I'm not willing to pay 100+ USD for, like Valkyrie Profile)... but SC2 sandbox? More power to those who do, but I'll just wait for my beta opt-in... or the real thing.

Well, as far as the people hacking it, I can't say.
But for the people enjoying it, its just a voice saying they disagree with the idea of a "closed beta" and will not just stand by and not enjoy it, when they could.
Its not like that product is costing money. No stealing occurs, even if laws are broken. Personally, I won't just stand by and not enjoy the Beta just because I'm not... lucky? Heck, I'd pay a small fee to get into the beta. But its just luck.
And technically, this could fall under "Piracy" here and we're not allowed to discuss this, but since its about a -free beta-, even if its closed, I hope it slips.
Yeah Jake, it's about something free, should be fine. Honestly the reason I want to try this Sandbox mode, or any other *beta* crack (not retail, beta) is because there are people playing right now, and I want to be one of them. I'd like to see how my computer handles the game, what I can do with the in-game options, etc. I think it's silly the way the beta invites have been handled. I don't like having to rely on dumb luck in order to get into the beta for a game I'm interested in, when all these WoW players get keys and go "durrrr Starcraft came out 10 years ago why's it in beta" like my friend did. It'll be the same when the Diablo 3 beta is launched. Nobody will talk about it, but a lot of people will try to get a crack for it (this is beta, not retail) because it's "unfair somebody else gets to play and I don't" to quote the B.Net forums.
Well, to be honest, I feel that the majority of the people who are on the Beta aren't even Beta-testing it, as they are just playing. Beta testing is important from nearly every aspect, and that is one of the issues of making an invitation only closed beta that anyone can opt in.
If I were to get picked for the closed beta, I'd actually beta test it. Playing would be fun, but I feel that my input, along with others', would help make the game better upon release.
Just my 2gp at least.

Yeah I'd heard it's more for seeing how B'Net reacts to all the users, and balancing. I still can't get past the black screen and I have to restart my computer since it completely locks.
kkkeyless but I have the client I can't play cuz my bnet acc isn't authorized to us it so I don't think you just need a key I think you might have to have an acc that was chosen sadly...idk? If I get a key id gladly share my acc with everyone becuz that's all I need to friggen play

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
If certain members cannot stay within the bounds of the jurisdiction of the beta and those who choose how it will be played, they will find themselves with very, very long IP bans.

Yea sometimes it does that for me too. But i ctrl alt delete and try again and it works.
Heres a little demonstration:
why do people do these things :>
thats all i can say.
