Well, if you don't pay you never get the good items.... and way less gameplay and a bunch of other things.....
Everyone who is going to buy that I know have said they are buying it because it's similar to Diablo. Although people will for sure buy it just because it's appealing to them.
I'm not trying to say your wrong I'm just putting in my opinion.
And could I get a link of where you got your info on Blizz helping Flagship? It would be very interesting if it was found out to be true.

The game is complete as is. The weapons that are in it are currently enough for a full game. If you want the extended content you have to pay for it, just like every other game out there.
The people you are talking to are purchasing it because it does remind them of Diablo, but that does not represent the majority of the market. The majority of the market wants to try a FPS RPG.
I said I could not verify the Blizzard inside information. I have come across new information from word of mouth at my job that this was the case, between Blizzard and Flagship Studios.

"Pking in Softcore, is like two deaf kids yelling at each other."
I looked at the official website, thought it would be the most reliable...
I looked at the weapons list on the website, most are pistols/rifles... Yet I didn't see any use of them, unless the cabalists use them... Doesn't look like it. And ya, most of the gameplay is apparantly TPS/TPH&S, depending on race. 1 race, which may/may not have been removed as I don't see it up there, was the FPS race...
Pretty much it looks different just the Stats weapon system "unique, rare, etc" and Skill system are the same... but everything else is completely different.

It's a zoom feature. You can zoon into FPS or out to OtT. There are 100+ guns in the final version. There are also more classes then what the site shows. There are marksman and scouts and such.

I don't think you can cross reference this game with any other. All games have similarities. The only reason he refurs to Diablo 2 is because at the time of the interview that is what they compared it to because the developers came from Blizzard North and were the Diablo 2 developers.

I got to see it played at E3 this year and from what I saw it was fantastic. I didn't notice any shutters like you notice in the video, but I am sure that is because of the game and video capture putting a strain on the computer.

Well for those of you craving to kill demons, this should fill that gap... going into hell is a different story, but Diablo 2 only did that in Act 4...
Barbarian Whirlwind is back ^^
Its too bad these guys got dropped by blizzard. If Blizzard North was still together, I'm pretty sure we would be seeing a D3 instead of HGL. (FYI more than half the D2 creation team, excluding, you know, voice actors and testers etc, is in FLagship Studios).
HGL comes out halloween, so most def can't wait.

Don't know, but hopefully they will be doing some massive updates since it's rumored to be released in November.
