I have never given a single items to one of my own characters unless I plan on using it in end-game Hell. It ruins the fun of running through the game if you one hit everytihng.
And apparently, it also ruins the fun of playing in Hell, if I understand your posts.
Playing in Hell is boring, because you have imba gear. Playing in Normal and Nightmare is not, because you do not have imba gear.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Aren't we getting completely sidetracked here?
It's high time Venom actually showed up and told us what he wanted, about whether he needs a hell-viable build or not.
Then we could actually decide what to say about making this build actually playable in late hell.
But for all the arguments, he's probably just playing D2
Edit- Checked the OP. Seems curses made their way in finally. So its me who's getting sidetracked.
I'm not somebody who likes to play tweaked, be rushed, or whatever. I just want a character that I can have fun and actually have a challenge in hell with, but still possibly beating hell with my skills, not items and spells.

didnt really notice your skill distribution.
what are you doing with all those different golems??
put 1 to all the golems except the one you plan to use primarily (and even then 1 is ok if you dont mind remaking him a lot). why do you have 8 points to fire golem?
since you want a tough golem, i would recommend 20 to clay golem and 10 to mastery that will be 6311 life 400% AR Bonus and 63% slows.
i would put points to revive, more points in summon resist, or some skeleton mages (or ce would be even better, but i know you dont want that.)
you don't need more than 1 point in decrep. it just gets a longer duration. save your points and be prepared to recast.
i'd also put 1 to all the curses and 1 to bonewall and bone prison

they'll never see me coming.. life is a sequence of tragedies, inconsistent only by fleeting, elusive moments of pleasure,
serving only to ensure absolute vulnerability to the pain of their inevitable absence.
ive always liked the iron golem. where you can take an item and make that golem have that items abilities.
it is cool.
seen some crazy golems like beast golems to grant fanatacism or pride golems for concentrate, bramble for thorns, crescent moon shaeffers hammer or stormlash for static, delerium to make a little doll golem, doom for holy freeze, last wish for might, lawbringer for sanctuary.
really any of the 1.11 rune words would be good. (especially treachery but also peace and rain.)
and crushing blow items are always good.
but they die so easy (even with high life and low damage to prevent IM deaths)..it's really a waste.
best thing to make them from is insight so you have unlimited mana and when it dies it's not that big of a deal.
or alternately unique item kelpie snare for 75% slows. (which by the way you totally should use on your merc till you can afford a pride weapon). kelpie snare + a high lvl clay golem and decrep just dominates bosses.
ps i'd like to see a version of your build with a merc using rift thresher or giant thresher (and 45% ias through armor/helm), an infinity golem and the necro using faith and a high lvl lower resist.
would be 5 frame attack speed and minus 150 or so enemy cold resist. could couple it with mages and elemental damage charms and it might be cool.

The fire golem is for his +Damage synergy.

I'm not a fan of curses either and bonewall and bone prison are pretty useless with a summons build IMO.

I don't have loads of experience with summoner necros, but I'd imagine Bramble could be an interesting choice for an armor since it gives you and your skellies a thorns aura which could be pretty devastating. Although I noticed the Wiki doesn't list "level x thorns aura when equipped" as a property on the Bramble runeword I'm pretty sure Bramble should give you thorns
Yes it is listed on the Bramble page. Welcome to the forums!

I'm telling you, you'll become a fan of Confuse and Attract, even with just one point in em.
In fact, it's pretty skill economical to put just one point into them, since the buffs they get from skill plus equipment is solid enough to warrant not putting any extra skills into them.

Seriously though, those two curses are so underrated and underutilized.
Both used in tandem can mess up an entire charge of baddies, make them fight each other, and give your minions time to come in and fuck shit up during the infighting.
Give it a try, you'll love it.

I usually just get a few points in each of the golems, max skelemastery and skeleton warrior, single point in amp dmg, and single point in skelly res, basically.
That usually can survive Hell, believe it or not. o.O

and getting as many +3 to all skills or summon tree as you possibly can get
skeletons need like lvl 30 to survive in hell and rely on them

i think they should add an +attack bonus to all golems to balance them out a bit aside from the synergy and the mastery lol
plus the slow on clay golem mixed with decrepify and a cold skel mage is like fighting all bosses in slow motion lol
