Subject says it all. Just wondering how long before the stack falls off. Would be useful to know for getting tot he next enemy, or using a string of other skills between Frenzy hits.
Interesting. Has anyone played with the idea of primarily using Cleave with a 2 hander, but swapping out every 3rd or 4th swing to maintain Frenzy? I was doing something similar with my Monk in the Open Beta, and thought this might be possible with the Barb too after looking at it.
Keep in mind that frenzy only increases the attack speed of frenzy. I immediately assumed it worked like in D2, but when i tried it out in the beta i felt the lack of attack speed the very first time i used something else than frenzy, checked tooltip, and realized my mistake
Edit: I think its 5 (tooltip says 4-3-2-1-0 seconds remaining) seconds. Not 100% sure though.
I would alternate HotA and frenzy and it was speeding up HotA...
Yeah, it's a little disappointing, but not surprising. I like the idea of frenzy well enough but the single target nature of it doesn't jive with my preferred splashy AOE play style. I'm sure it will be great for others though.
Nothing to stop people from using elective mode and having an AOE generator and a single target generator. I'm not saying it's the best use of a skill point, but some may do it that way.
I actually did not like frenzy in D2. I have not tried it in D3. I never got far enough on the Barb in the Open Beta.
I plan on making a Frenzy Barb that only uses Frenzy for the attack. the rest of the skills will be buffs/defensive/support skills. I just do not know if I will usse a 2-handed weapon or dual wield for the increased ias.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
I find this math interesting as I was looking at something like this recently. Unfortunately I never got a video out on it. Basically through testing with gear on beta it appeared to me that IAS gear improved 2 handed weapons (slow hitters) way more than dual wielding. +attack gear helped dual wielding more than 2 handers (but was still a good upgrade).
I usually associate fast attacking frenzy with 2 one handers, but I see it being amazing with a good 2hander. Especially since you attack just as fast as a 1 handed weapon at full stacks.
For pure fury generation the weapon master passive and a mighty weapon will generate +3 fury per hit.
Each frenzy hit would generate 6 fury.
If you are using a non MW frenzy you will need 2 hits for every MW hit with frenzy to match fury generation.
Someone with 2 daggers (1.5 AS) might really hit fast. But using 2 mighty weapon you still hit fast (1.3 AS) and with weapon master you generate fury a lot faster. I'd rather give up a little speed to get double my fury generation.

I want to travel to exotic places, meet interesting people. And then throw spider-filled jars of pottery at them.
man i was hoping to pair frenzy for my main and WW for my secondary and see if i get more hits per second with my WW. But from this discussion doesn't sound like it would work.
