Hmm, intresting. I heard that Blizzard North's plans were to make all new classes anyway. This comes close. I agree with Wilson said, the Barb was a terribly designed class in D2, and it would be pointless to bring the Necro back because he's pretty much perfectly designed in D2.
They might bring him back in an expansion actually. They've mentioned it because of "overwhelming" outcry about him not being in the game.
What makes you think there not i hope they do paladin was always the most cominly played and the leader of the group. and if its cause Blizzard says so they always change there mind for example in order to become a death knight in Lich king u had to of had a level 80 paladin but now its just a level 55 character of any class, Also they might since Blizzard arent the real creators they just funded it the real creators are Flagship Studios creators of hellgate london.
Lol. Ok ok ok, I admit that you might be kinda new to this site... But really, I can't help but laugh... juuuuuuust a little.
Seriously, are there no punctuation rules in the land of milk and honey? I don't even wanna know what you've just spewed there, reads like baby dribble.:offtopic:
Sorry, sorry... But I hope the WD gives us the ability to make my favorite type that the Necro was SOOO good at, but the Druid wasn't really. If it's a mediocre summoner, I'll be pissed. I guess I can just make another class, but well everyone has their favorites. It was the first type of char I ever made in the Diablo universe. I <3 it.
I have read the post in the site.
Mann if Blizzz introduce Bard in D3 it will be fa..... sh.....
I hate that class it is just stupid to kill with music.
and neither do those classes because they are hacks anyways:
As test characters, these warriors have new skills and attributes. The Bard can use two one-handed weapons, one in each hand. The Barbarian can hold certain two-handed weapons in one hand, and carry a shield in the other. They do not have unique character graphics developed for them, appearing in-game as the rogue and the warrior, respectively.
Are you retarded? And I mean actually retarded, not just some dumbass.
Blizz have already confirmed that all characters will have a gender option.
And there will be no pala in D3, live with it.
How am i spose to know this im not some person with no life that just sits and watches videos about diablo settle the fuck down! cause i didnt hear anything about no paladin.

It doesn't take much time at all to figure out you can choose your characters sex. Has nothing to do with having a life or not really. They've been talking about it from day 1. Anyway mistakes happen.
I can't wait until they release more info on classes, so many possibilities.

I second that. I just hope they come up with something that will please most everyone, I don't want to see a bunch of WoW's classes returning in D3. (Which is probably not going to happen, i'm remaining optimistic about Blizzard's class choices)

It may still be fun, but it will be World of Diablo.

I doubt we will see WoW classes, some of the names might be similar, it's probably a pretty good chance we may see a "mage" but the spells will differ a lot hopefully.
I'm sure they won't let us down. The more people they make happy, the more that will buy it, and the more money they get and ALL companies want money.
you know what? every single thread on this entire site has someone complaining about something or another, why would people want d2 characters back in d3 in the first place? we've played them to death, all of us. I cant wait to start a character, one at a time and see their ins and outs, i also can't wait how different skill trees will be developed for barbarian, thats another thing... Theory: There's a reason why only the barbarian is back: he (whether you play as him or not) is gonna be key towards the game, basing this on the fact that the male barbarianis the same barb from D2, only remains to be seen...

Very true, I've seen so many complaints that I am convinced that some people should just stick to Diablo 2.
And i think you are right the "Barbarians" being the defenders of mount Arreat and the worldstone in D2 likely has someting to do with their return in D3. However, they did say that they have been "re-envisioned".

nerd?....excuse me but we prefer the more dignified term,...Geek!
However, they did say that they have been "re-envisioned".
That is due is part to the fact that Mt Arreat is now a giant crater.
If it was their job to watch over the mountain (but more importantly what was contained therein), and now it is gone, it could be construed that they had failed in their task. The Mountain they are suppose to be watching over is now gone. Thus they would need a new, or revised purpose.
Lore fans, such as myself, would want to know what their new purpose is.
And from what I gather the other classes returning has not been completely negated. The Barbarian is just the only class to return as a playable class with the initial release of the game. Another class could return in the expansion, while others could be NPCs or enemies.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
basing this on the fact that the male barbarianis the same barb from D2, only remains to be seen...
I'm not sure that the barbarian in D3 is the same barb from D2. but i could be wrong. i guess that the only way to know is if in D3 the barb talks about things that happened in D2.

Over confidence is the rot.
just my thing
i usually like necs, pally, assasin, or maybe they should combine nec and pally into a polar bear
Who the hell would mess with Chris Metzen. He writes the stories for ALL of Blizzard Franchises. To mess with his work would be like defying god....
The Bard in D1 was a duel wielding class.
It will never be brought back.
I think I speak for everyone when I say...
What the hell are you talking about?
Fuck you, I'm a dragon.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
The Bard in Hellfire really never made sense to me.

I would bet you could also see th paladin return in some form, (knight, crusader, ranger, whatever)
