He get a a lot of crap for d3 and Pandaland... but leaving the company several months before you know TITAN is going to be canceled! It worked....somehow no one has put those 2 together and realized Pardo left because titan was ALL HIS. Creative director for blizzard....
I cant imagine all those people and teams dedicated for years on that, I wish I could have some back so D3 would have had a bigger team. I just can't believe that a few months ago when Pardo left, I'm sure they knew that project was over. I bet alot of the company started leaving few months ago.
There was no Jay Wilson to blame, I'm just surprised how much of Pardo's work on the last 7 years has been canceled. LOl. He could have given just a year or two to d3 and it could really be a Saga.
Put your spoiler here. The point is, 7 years of development canceled, and no one is blaming anyone.
D3 was actually playable and built 2 years ago, and jay wilson got so much hate because the game wasn't d2.5. But here we have someone who was overseeing a 7 year project and just happens to leave a few months early? LOL
Can you imagine if it was released as is? The entire planet would be screaming how can you mess up WOW 2.0 this badly?
I just think its strange when certain things don't seem to effect everyone the way it usually does
I believe Titan was being scraped long ago hence not too much word was given to that project. Titan was just likely being worked on if WoW ever got to extremely low numbers and Blizzard needed a new MMO to bring the numbers of subscribers back up.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.

You sound more like a bitter shareholder than anything else.
The #1 thing I hate about this absolutely fucking shitty community is the constant need to blame people. Something went wrong? We need a public execution to make amends.
It's like we've completely lost our sense of civility because we've all turned into spoiled little man-babies.

I think this is the best I've ever seen it worded.
For example I'm not a fan of Jay Wilson, but I never really understood the bloodlust with which he specifically was pursued by the community. People demanding that he lose his job because they didn't like decisions that the D3 team made. "Raaawr screw that guy and his family because his team made a decision I didn't like in a video game!"
It would surprise me not at all if the failure of Titan is why Pardo left. In fact, I would be surprised if that wasn't the case. It's tens of millions of dollars wasted.

Yes, i am quite sure a gaming company thats been around for 20 years burns that amount of money and suddley goes "wait guys, this is not gonna work".
Yes, this is what Blizzard does. This is what distinguishes Blizzard from other game companies. Almost every other company would just say "it's crap, but let's just release it". Blizzard is not afraid of pulling the plug (StarCraft: Ghost, WarCraft Adventures). Not sure about the tens of millions of dollars figure, but it doesn't sound that far off if you consider amount of people on Titan and the years of development.
I am not sure about all the guessing and tinfoil hat crap and conspiracy theory stuff in this thread. Shaggy said it best - why the hell does everyone need to find a scapegoat? Just stop it. If you don't like Diablo 3 it's because you don't like it.
Wouldnt even call it conspiracy. Its just how corporations work. If you are responsible for tens of millions of dollars wasted, they might show you the door, espiecally if you have a history of it.
Also not a coincidence they are making this announcement just before Blizzcon. If you know how things work, its not too hard to grasp things going on behind the scenes.
I, for one, think characterizing the whole community as "absolutely effin sh**y" based on a few very vocal "blame-game" posts is about as uncivil as you can get.
Why are people surprised they cut Titan? The MMO market sucks, it has sucked for quite sometime now. Every MMO is struggling to keep players, they cost a ton of money to produce and upkeep. Look at every MMO out right now that is just a few years old, all of them didn't do nearly as well as they hoped.
The time of the MMO has passed, I think Blizzard saw the writing on the wall that the genre just isn't nearly as healthy as it was back in 2004.

So you complain about a shitty community, and then u call the guy a spoiled man baby... The OP was not being rude or offensive. Maybe he could have wrote a more comprehensible post, but anyways.

It's just the way it is... Someone gets shot in Benghazi, obviously it's Obama's fault.
The fact is tho that Diablo and Pandaria did have a lot of negative feedback. Whether it was deserved(check) or not, no company/person wants negative feedback unless their name is Jerry Springer.
Football team can't win? Fire the coach
Company losing money? Fire the CEO
Blizzard games sucking? Fire the leaders
The "shitty community" is just half of mankind, who just wants to call everyone else a dumbass instead of offering suggestions. And if people's egos are too big to at least consider suggestions, get rid of them.
