I was just thinking about this today when I was looking at the Blue Tracker. Everyone is (understandably) obsessed with the D3 beta and the so-far lack thereof. I was wondering, what is a beta key worth to you. Say for instance that Blizzard releases their beta keys and I happen to get one. Me, being the astute business man that I am, immediately offer my beta invite on Ebay. How much would you be willing to pay/how much would I be able to get. Now, I'm sure Blizzard has some preventative measures to keep this from happening, and if I get a beta key and you don't...TOO BAD. But, hypothetically, how much could you make selling a beta invite?

I think the real question is how much would you pay ME for a key?!

I would never pay just for Beta. Its not like I get the game early, I just get to play a small part of it that will also be available all over torrents.
Wow. I was expecting to see maybe 50 bucks or something. I'll be sure to let Hpnot1Q know when I get a key and let you pay for my collectors edition of d3. I could wait 4 extra months to play for that kind of money

This is when my lame username comes in handy. I'm so serious a fan that I won't play anything D3 related but D3... not even D3 beta. Experiencing 10% of the game and then having to wait for the other 90% doesn't sound too appealing. I want the whole experience. Happy?

U shouldent have posted that, i liked ur previous post count moar
Oh, f*ck!!... I was actually looking forward to that post count.. I guess I just have to wait till 1000 now... damn.
I maintain that Blizzard should sell some beta keys on eBay or on their own auction site.
Of course, send out the beta tests you want to send out, to test various hardware and whatnot, but, then put say 5,000 beta keys on eBay at $20, then another 5,000 as an auction. Assuming you get $20 for both, that's $100,000 in return for having only 10,000 extra people download the beta (which could be delivered via a torrent, but needing the key to activate)
I remember the Starcraft 2 beta keys going for mega bucks on eBay.
Sure id like to get into beta and if I get an invite ill be happy, but really its not that important for me, if it happens good, if it doesnt thats ok.
As much as I want to get in the beta, I wouldn't pay for it. It's a test version to find bugs, not the final product. Considering some people actually get paid to do that, I'm in no way going to pay to do a job. I can live with doing that job for free, but not to pay for it.
Yeah I'm not so bonery to play the beta. I just want to experience the game for the first time in its final form. Not counting later patches of course.
Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence

Instead I'd just kill you and everyone you know to get your beta key.
How much will you pay to have the beta properly tested by the right people? the people who will help to fix / improve it?
Siaynoq's Playthroughs
( doesnt sound like much, but ya know i dont have that much)
Anyone who pays more than that is dumb, sorry, its true.
