It looks to me more like Fury might be a skill tree, or a secondary skill system that enhances actual skills....
However it could be that the Barb uses two different cost systems... maybe stamina is exactly the same as in D2... in that it runs out as you run around... and maybe now there are abilities... that aren't specifically spell like (like shouting) that also take away from stamina... as opposed to the energy source specific to the character (fury vs mana thus far)

"If we're actually making the game worse with no other reason than to be different from WoW, then it's a bad choice." - Jay Wilson (D3 lead designer)
A little tid bid here, I really hope that instead of the "Battle Cry" buff in the bottom left, that they do what they did in D2 and have a cool circle under his feet. I think that makes the game more simple, AND just looks that much cooler. Heres hopin!
Hmm, cool. I can say that this will take a bit of adaptation. I will be honest and say that I greatly dislike the single slot thing for your items. ANd if you're gonna end up owning around 5 or 6 bags or something to put stuff in, like WoW (Netherweave and all that mumbo jumbo), then that will be annoying. I'm not complaining, I would play the game either way, and it's not THAT big a deal, but I oppose it.
Yeah, but the problem with that was that you could only see one circle at a time. Not a problem for the Pally in D2, who could only have one aura active, but it is a problem for the Barb and when you're in a team. They could keep that aura thing under the feet in use, and just always display the most powerful one affecting you, or the last one you cast (maybe better, if a player hates to look at a certain effect he just casts another one after it), but it shouldn't replace the new system because that's just more informative and helpful. The thing under your feet would just be to look cool and diverse.
About Stamina and Fury, we don't even know yet if the globe we see is fury. Maybe it's the stamina globe and fury is something else altogether, or like stamina used to be. But yeah it makes sence to assume fury is the globe and stamina is like in D2 but now you drain some of it by using certain skills.. Which seems like a good way of balancing things for characters that have alot of health and therefore alot of stamina also. It's just unfair in D2 if you run around with the Barb or Assassin (due to speed buffs) you never really run out of stamina, but if you're an Amazon it can get annoying.
I assert that the aura system stays the same, but indeed keep the buff icons in place for quick information on a character's buffs.
Brown? You mean orange or yellow?
And the magic items in D2 were actually purple, they just looked blue most of the time, but if you look carefully it's purple. So those are just magical items.
Those are screenshots of the gameplay video.
Sorry sir, even if i havent played in like 2 years, i know wut im talking about. There was no purple items in diablo 2. It was blue for magical items. And the Unique items were brown. Orange was crafted items and yellow were also magical but had more mods than blue items.. i think.
Blue item from diablo 2. (magical) Its clearly blue...
This is brown from diablo 2. looks the same as diablo 3.
This is the Purple items in diablo 3, clearly you can tell its purple. same with the brown, thats def'n brown.
Well no, you lost when not remembering 'rare' items and calling unique (gold) items brown and also when showing low-texture screenshot pieces.
Yeah okay, maybe half of your post was sarcasm but uniques are actually gold and the item colors in the gameplay video are controversial.
dude its not gold u retard....ITS FREAKEN BROWN, ur color blind...clearly you are... How can you mix up gold with brown...???:necro:
PS. u dont know wut ur talkin about. clearly my screenies are perfect, they clearly show you everything. and thats that. no need to say i didnt win when def'n i did win.
I know some of you guys noe this already, but some people dont
soo

they truly have alot to be done

So probably you use stamina to use some skills ofc.

Rise and rise again, until lambs become lions
Over confidence is the rot.
Does that mean that in some skills you will be able to put 20 points while in others just 5 or even 1 point?
That doesn't make sense at all...

We are accomplices.
Theres no way its gold.....no way
And not everything from WoW is bad, anyway, so I don't even worry about the little similarities.
Over confidence is the rot.
Looks sorta brown, but I'm fairly certain it's just a dark gold. Or that's what everyone who plays the game calls it.
Over confidence is the rot.
