I gotta say it. I want to play the monk. I think he would be the funnest to in terms of gameplay as I have always liked light melee classes but I feel like his attacks don't have the same shock and awe effect of the wizard, which doctor, and barbarian. Gonna go for wizard my first time around for this reason. The Demon Hunter suffers from the same problem IMHO.
I've tried both monk and wizards and i find the latter to be more lackluster. Don't get my wrong here, i was dying to lvl wizard as my main until i tried the beta a few days ago. I was kinda disappointed that it was "weak" compared to monk.
Forums are full of guys that have no FAITH in monk! You don't deserve to play it then, and with your weak mind you will not choose it by your own descision. Monk is not about min/max. It's about style. Would it be weak ? Ofc not. If it was weak Bliz would alter it. You cant give direct dmg skills to a class with great dmg mitigation options. That is not balance. Barb is about direct damage. Monk dmg skills are situational, but devastating if executed in a right way in a right time, and that is the whole point of the class. If you want to just lay waste without finesse then barb is for you.

I say that not all his skills are lackluster but some skills definitely make me want to ignore them,no matter how much damage they deal(like wave of light unruned).I am a fan of the skill seven sided strike and i think looks more awesome than anything else.(i have not seen the rune effects yet)

To me it's the exact opposite, I think his skills looks awesome. Fists of Thunder might not have the same "physics" impact as Bash but it's still awesome looking. Deadly Reach is another sick looking skill, the sound makes it feel like you're actually blasting through the air. Dat knockback on Lashing Tail Knick =]

BoH heal amount does scale per level. (Level 2 vs level 13)
But there is no way to improve it further once you reach level 60. Some are worried it might simply be worthless in later on, when people are wearing inferno gear with massive amount of HP. BoH will still heal for the same amount it did at level 60.

They likely are final yes. They are still tweaking things here and there... and there is 1 month left until release... but the approximate heal rates are final.
As for people worrying that Breath of Heaven will not improve. Do not forget that gear increases skills. There will probably be gear that improves the heal amount that BoH does :).
