So I'm planning on getting 100% achievements because D3 will be my life, and I was thinking about what they could possibly put in.
One of the scariest things I could think of was an achievement for getting every class to level 60 in hardcore. Getting to 60 isn't going to be a walk in the park AT ALL in this mode, let alone doing it 5 times. The very notion of it sends shivers down my spine, but alas, it seems like a simple enough achievement that it will probably be implemented... and I'm going to have to do it.
I think that sounds like quite an easy one (altho time consuming)
Soloing Inferno on hardcore will be a tougher one for sure.
Oh yes, I actually had a different idea when I posted this. I kind of meant an achievement to kill Diablo on hardcore-inferno which implies not only level 60, but all of Inferno as well! AHHHHH
Some achievements will be easy , others will sound and be next to imposable. I would not count on getting all achievements until we have a list in front of ourselves.
I enjoy achievements as long as they contain both story-unlocked and optional goal ones. But think of it this way: the achievements are there for fun, and aren't needed to enjoy the game. I'd like an all-hardcore-complete achievement because it sets a high goal when the others are complete. If I didn't think it was fun, I certainly wouldn't do it just to get 100%.
All of this is assuming that there aren't rewards for achievements. Are there? Like banner options and whatnot?

There's a couple quotes saying they are thinking of adding (and there might already be some) cosmetic upgrades to some achievements, such as banners. Personally I hope they add as hard of achievements as possible, because excluding any team based ones, I'm excited the majority should be solo able =)
Though I do plan to play hardcore, maybe getting 1 char to 60, and that's it... If they did add some sort of "all characters to 60 in hard core" it would give me a reason to do it.. So wouldn't mind it

Agree! I think the more achievements the merrier really, especially if it's something hard to achieve. Gives you something to strive for and makes it so that the nice tummy-feeling you get for completing it much nicer :D!
with the RMAH i believe hard almost impossible achievments will be the main source of bragging rights so i support that
I think it would be interesting if they put in some achievements that wont unlock if you use any RMAH items. Let's say an achievement for killing Diablo on Inferno, for instance.

Items can't be flagged from where they got obtained. Do it on HC, problem solved.
Well, why not? I don't think its impossible for Blizzard to add in extra coding on items that tags them when they get sold on RMAH. You're acting like it can't be done.

Impossible? Not really, but consider the amount of coding and data storage involved by having every single copy of each item in D3 having a tracking ID to make your idea possible and "can't be done" comes rather close.
Didn't every item in D2 have some unique code, which was how they identified if it was duped or not. Sure, the system was eventually beaten. But keeping a unique ID for every item was their intention back then already. I am sure they could do it now.

Why would they want to do that? So you're against RMAH and therefore you want people excluded from ingame elements (yes, I know they don't really have any real ingame effect whatsoever). However, Blizzard chose to implement this themself, and it is entirely up to the individual to decide whether they want to use it or not. Does an item bought on RMAH make it a worse item?
Come on, let other people decide how they want to run their business and you run yours. If you get X hard achievement, feel good about yourself for not using the RMAH if its such a turnoff.
Not quite, if you'd go through my previous posts you'd see tha I'm a very strong supporter of the RMAH. I think it'll be a great addition to the game. The reason I suggested this was that it would be some incentive to make the naysayers moan a bit less about how RMAH is unfair and will ruin the game. Some of these people have even asked that Blizzard colour the items they buy differently or add 'RMAH item' to its title. My idea will be a bit more practical, I think.
Also, I don't think it will be too difficult to add a couple of codes into the game files so that each time an item gets sold, it gets tagged. I'm not saying it should be done, it was just an idea, but I highly doubt something so simple would take a lot of time to do, let alone be considered something that's so strenuous it 'can't be done'.
But it makes no difference to me. I love RMAH. I'm never going to use it, I prefer finding my own items and trading them between my characters. But I still think it's a great concept.

It (RMAH) is a great idea because it provides Blizzard continual income, and incentive to keep the game fair without the need for a subscription, which i wouldn't want to pay. I won't use it, and I won't feel cheated if someone who does is able to kill demons 5% faster than me. PvP will just be for funzies for me. Should RMAH items be tagged? Maybe. Can they be? Definately. Will they be? Only Blizzard knows.

Don't worry, the hardest is always the first playthrough.

edit: I accidently put unlocked. Let me make it clear, I would never get this.
