What is the general understanding of progression gear wise? once you reach end game you grind for gear, but people are usually aiming to high for as such gear like BiS items and what not.
What is the best approach towards improving your gear at reasonable rate if you don't have a lot of Gold? i'm seeing this as a problem. The AH is full of inflation at the moment and duping, which is making it harder for those who don't have gold to achieve better items through game progression due to not being able to afford the high amount of gold needed for mediocre gear when you first complete Inferno.
This is not Hardcore. We Die and go back for more to get better loot. But this can become aggravating.
Personally I completed Inferno after coming back from a break for about 4 months. I learned what i needed to do and what new features have become available in such time so i may get back into the game as much as i can; but i'm finding it a little difficult to play when it's actually more aggravating then enjoyable up until a higher monster power for more legendaries, or just in general better affixes on loot.
I'm a barbarian, level 12 Paragon Level, and I am on MP 5 at the moment 1 week after completing inferno and just trying to get an idea of how to progress further. I've hit a stage of where items that are an improvement now are upwards of almost 20-50mil each. I cannot afford that at what rate i'm getting items that are good to sell or just shitty items in general. So, do i just grind against this endless wall intil i get something to sell or something that improves gear?
1) get incredibly luck y finding a really nice item.
2) dual wield Mastercard
3) flip items in the AH.
Those are the options.
Or just play as the 99.99% of the rest of the players play, after you ID your rare #589 in a row that is 100% trash and your only legendaries that drop are not the right ones, quit.

On the contrary, i've had about 40+ legendaries drop so far and none have been viable to another player or myself. Usually have really shitty stats, or one good stat and the rest okay. they sell for like 25-400k but nothing really amazing. Hell, i've found selling crafting mats is like my only alternative to making a good source of income. And that's sad!
There are 3 main parts to progression: XP, Loot/gold, and high MP.
If you're just trying to farm XP, then you don't need to worry about upgrading gear and you run lower MP as fast as efficiently possible. You just repeat until you get to plvl 100.
If you're farming for Loot, you're going about it the wrong way, imo. The key to loot is MF. The higher your MF the more legendaries you get and the more high affix rares you get. If you're running below the max MF you're hurting your potential for loot. Some of this is offset by the MP level, but at MP5 you only get +125% MF, and the cap is 300%. Instead, you could lower the MP and equip some MF gear so that you have the same general clear time for a given run. That will increase your drop rate of rares and legendaries because of the extra MF.
High MP progression is similar to loot progression because you'll need good items to progress to higher MP. To get those loots without using RMAH or flipping items, you need to be able to farm efficiently. This is usually better suited for higher plvl players since the base MF from paragon level, combined with the bonus MF from high MP, can make it worthwhile to start farming higher MP for loot. Higher MP also implies Ubers, which are best to farm at MP10 because you get a ring each clear. However, that requires higher level gear, which you have to find or fund somehow. Generally the MP can be raised slowly as you improve your gear with the ultimate goal being MP10 farming and Ubers.

You are just constantly angry at this game in every thread I see. I'm curious, do you stay just to whine about it?

Forgot to mention this; my gear is equipped with MF on it (besides a ring) my total with NV is 227% and maxed with NV. it's even more with the 5 MP.

It doesn't matter, just tell me how am I wrong. And not, I already passed the angry phase, now I'm in the frustration/acceptation one.
Russell wrote that if he claims that a teapot orbits the Sun somewhere in space between the Earth and Mars, it is nonsensical for him to expect others to believe him on the grounds that they cannot prove him wrong. Russell's teapot is still referred to in discussions concerning the existence of God.
You have a habit of creating an imaginary teapot and then telling the rest of the community that they have to prove that you're wrong.
No, you have to prove that the teapot exists. That's how intelligent discussion works. The burden of proof lies with the person who makes the claim. You don't get to claim anything then say "prove me wrong."
YOU have the job of proving that you're right. Somewhere Carl Sagan is shaking his head.
There could be a teapot orbiting between Earth and Mars, but just because I don't have a telescope and cannot monitor the whole night sky, doesn't mean there is. Therefore it is your burden to prove said teapot exists, and not anyone elses burden to prove that it doesn't exist.
For all the philosophical and "logical" things you spout, I'd have thought you would know how poor your "prove me wrong" argument is.

That fallacy only exists when there is no feasible means to prove the person wrong. You can say the burden of proof is on his, but only because he worded it as an absolute.
If he had asked "Are there any other means to getting large sums of gold?" Then it fails completely. Of course, one could easily construe this as to what he meant, and therefore the whole "burden of proof' line was completely unnecessary.
So are there any other ways besides the three he listed to make large sums of gold?
As far as I know, no.

Why do you need huge somes of gold? Ive got a Monk with only 109k dps but survives nicely on MP4. She has huge areas to improve on and she is leveling fine. People ONLY need large sums of gold to be just like the rest of the high DPS characters. You DONT need huge somes of gold to play the game at a reasonable MP to find items. People are to worried about everyone else. If you had no idea what other peoples characters were would you think your character is bad....probably not.

No, that fallacy exists in all logic. There is a fesible means to prove that there isn't a teapot orbiting between Earth and Mars. It would be very simple for a small group of astronomers to disprove that, in fact. The point is that they don't have to. The guy saying a teapot is orbiting between Earth and Mars is expected to prove it on his own.
One of the key points to productive and intellectual discussion is that the person making the supposition can support it with facts. When you remove the burden of proof from the supposer you end up with the salem witch trials.
It's on him to prove that those are the only 3 (or 4) ways to progress in the game, something that is absolutely not provable, but quite obviously disprovable (I have not quit the game, I have not swiped the Mastercard, I have not found any items that have sold for more than 50 million gold, and I do not flip items on either the RMAH or GAH). I still have had gear progression, particularly since 1.0.7 (both self-found items as well as crafted items).
However, it's not anyone's duty to sit around the forums and "prove wrong" assertions that have no factual foundation. That's akin to saying that if I call you a witch that you have to disprove to me that you're a witch. No, I have to prove to everyone else that you are a witch.
Suggesting that people can make any accusation they want and the onus is on everyone else to disprove their point, rather than them to prove their point, would be something good old Joe McCarthy would do, and hopefully we learned how myopic and dangerous that way of thinking is.
