When i bought Dragon Age 2 i expected so much from this game, it wasn't perfect but it was quite ok and i didn't regret my money. It would be awkward if after finishing Dragon Age 2 i would go on Dragon Age forum and wrote "people quitting Dragon Age 2 after last boss".
Well this is single-player game, not MMO,
Lol, I just had to reply to this. This may be one of the dumbest things I've read yet from someone trying to support an argument. You literally compared Dragon Age to the Diablo series. Dragon Age is the epitome of an RPG. It's a story you finish. The game centers around a storyline and making decisions. Diablo is an action RPG. The story is there, but no one really cares about it. We're not making decisions. The game centers around action. Finding loot and having replay value.
I'm just so completely dumbfounded at your comparison that I have to wonder what is wrong with you? You do know that people still play Diablo II right? Because of the replay value. There's just literally no rational comparison to be made between the games. Mind boggling... just... mind boggling.
You are trolling arent you? You cant be so dumb that you dont understand that on a diablo fans forum there will be many d3 fans.
He is trying to be provocative by using buzz words that are commonly thrown around the net. The best way to deal with toxic people who are crying for attention is to simply ignore them.
People are not leaving the game because of attack speed or any damage nerfs, you got it a bit wrong.
People are leaving the game because of simple things they got bothered with :
1. Drop rate is ruined and game is completely broken now. Farming is completely useless now, unless you want to vendor everything you get.
RUINED I SAY, RUINED! OH, ALSO COMPLETELY BROKEN!
No hyperbole here folks. Every single player has quit because it is 100% broken; unplayable; useless; trash; garbage; throw-it-away-right-now-never-work-again-pile-of-poop.
Farming is useless, you heard it here first. All those items on the AH right now? Figment of your imagination. They were actually bought off of random vendors, not farmed for. Because that doesn't work anymore, remember?
2. People are annoyed with RMAH and AH. I personally don't have anything against those but it would be better without them probably.
Definitely better without them. That way people could create games without titles hoping someone randomly joins them to have manual trades with bartering in chat. How efficient that would be!
3. There are so many broken classes, broken skills and so many bugs.
So completely true. I mean, what with this game being out for over a month now, everything should be working perfectly. Flaws just don't happen in IT-based systems, because this is the 21st century gosh dang it!
4. There is no end game for hard core players. This is not D2, this is not time of gaming from 1999. This is 2012 and people like challenges, end game content and rewarding system.
Whew, you got something right. This isn't D2. It's D3. But don't let that stop you. Let's pretend we know what everyone wants, and what the primary vision for this game is (probably something very much akin to what you've already played for years, because we all know something different is bad. Very bad! (Please ignore the huge population of players who continue to play despite this lack of content - they're a statistical anomaly)
So once again, there are many issues with the game and damage is the last problem. I m personally still playing game even tho I cleaned entire content 3 weeks ago. Loot is currently broken as long as many other things. I m not a flamer, QQ'er or anything like that.
I m not fan of blizzard nor any other gaming company. I play games I like, I don't care who made them. Be realistic and don't look at the game subjectively.
I hope blizzard will fix this game soon cause game itself has a lot of potential to rock and roll.
Have fun
Oh, I'm glad you cleared up that you weren't a flamer or QQer, I was really beginning to wonder. You're still playing, so I must assume that the majority of your above points aren't deal-breakers, and you were just exaggerating for giggles.
Maybe you can take your own advice after this and "have fun," eh?
Yeah, its not like they had 10+ years to make it balanced. owait
They didnt, I know its super hard for you to comprehend that the development of D3 did not begin the second that D2:LOD dropped, but one day, your upper brain will kick in, and you will be able to figure this one out.
Baby steps man, baby steps.
Also, fun fact;
D2 has been getting patches for 10 years, and it STILL not balanced.
Yeah, its not like they had 10+ years to make it balanced. owait

Were you born yet when they started development on D3? Sure doesn't seem like it. A small group of internal testers plus a limited closed beta in no way can simulate the magnitude of things we see here today. Maybe Blizzard should hire more kids who play 20+ hours a day in order to break the game and expose all the weaknesses to really figure out all the bugs and exploits before a launch.

lol
You mean the one that was completely scrapped? The MMO?

D2 has never been balanced, thats right, but D2 was even at release of D2 classic not as unrewarding as D3 is
It's okay to defend the game, but comparing D2 with D3 is like comparing Starcraft with Command and Conquer.
Werent around for the launch of D2 now were ya?
We were not able to play it online with people without getting dissconnected every 5 minutes for the first month, lag was always an issue, and still is to this day.
"Unrewarding"
Well, to me, having content I cannot just faceroll through is FAR more rewarding, but thats just me. (they bumped up the difficulty in D2 over the course of YEARS, and its still easy)
Dont get me wrong, I am aware of the itemization issues in D3 (Too low level dropping in Inferno, shitty Sets/Legendarys, whack drop rates in Act 3/4) I am also aware that these issues will be addressed rather quickly (I challenge anyone to find a developer who patches as fast as Blizzard has with D3).

Definition of irony: Pointing out that a comparison between two things is not apples to apples, but making a comparison between the two things anyway.
I'm not sure if I will quit, but I definitely took a step back. What did it to me was the repair costs. Everything else was fine, but the first time I had to pay 17k for repairs after buying gear just to try to progress and still getting nowhere I decided I needed a break.
I don't intend to whine about it, but the repair cost change is definitely not the best. Graveyard farming was never fun to begin with. However, I think when they up the drop chances again and it becomes easier to farm for gear needed for progression it will change things quite a bit.
i loved d3 at launch but the game just gets worse with every patch. d3 is currently terrible. i wish the game was offline so i could play the game unpatched. i'm just waiting for borderlands 2 to come out now.

You're my favourite troll, will you still be around when borderlands 2 is out? Please say yes!!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
I have no lust to loggon anymore. I just login to try and find something on AH I can buy and sell on RMAH.
I havent farmed or barly even logged in for a week now. Seriously, Diablo 3 must be the biggest fail since I started to play computer games back in the late 90s

Yeah, dev time on D3 was around 5-6 years.

Pssst, your weak trolling attempts are not working so well. Go back and play D3. We all know you still play.
Havent been playing games long?
Other developers DO exactly that, lol.

I got an infraction point for lashing out at his trolling. It's time to stop feeding him and report him into the ground.
