Now, the only real reason to do this is if something is wrong with the drop rates in general. IMO, Blizzard needs to just purge the game of all MF gear and up the drop rates about 100%. Problem solved.Posted in: News

The only way to avoid dieing a lot is to have the gear to keep you alive. The only way to have the gear to keep you alive is to farm the gold needed to buy the gear. The only way to farm the gold needed to buy the gear is to play the game where you die a lot. It is a vicious circle. Oh wait, there is the RMAH (which Bizzard profits from) where you can buy gear without gold and since you have no gold because you spend it all on repair costs while trying to make it...it sure the hell looks like Blizzard is trying to force people to use the RMAH.
However, you can get around it. Personally, I have been farming ACT 1 repeatedly, and sure I died a lot at first, but then I put around 200k into gear on the GAH (crap gear but worthy gear for starting out) and then just kept farming. I have made around 500k (after repairs and upgrading my jeweler and blacksmith to their maximum level) on just three runs and got a nice legendary ring and rare shoulder item. So, it is possible to play and stay away from the RMAH, but it is going to take a great deal of time. It all comes down to how quickly you want to clear.
One thing I have noticed that makes absolutely no sense and might be random is that between my fifth stack of NV and killing the skeleton king all of the elite packs tend to drop three rare items. However, from the skeleton king on the items slow to the elite packs almost always dropping only one rare item. -

I wonder if he means to reference Forbes magazine that ran an article about how badly Blizzard mishandled the ball and how horrible their customer service is regarding the RMAH.Posted in: News
Whining about JOURNALISM and then locking the thread on the official forums because people said something that you did not agree with just makes it look so much worse for Blizzard. People with nothing to hide do not whine about it when journalist expose what they are hiding to the light because they know the truth and go after a retraction; however, when you are making mistakes and trying to hide them you complain. -

They are not listening to the players but the most vocal of the players that love to whine on the forums. Blizzard needs to kill the ability to switch gear mid fight. It simply should not exist. There is no point to having magic find gear if everyone is switching mid fight because everyone is benefiting from magic find.Posted in: News

I don't intend to whine about it, but the repair cost change is definitely not the best. Graveyard farming was never fun to begin with. However, I think when they up the drop chances again and it becomes easier to farm for gear needed for progression it will change things quite a bit.
