So with the updater announcement could this be the the long awaited 2.0.1 patch? All i can say is lets hope so being that the game has so little points in playing atm once you have a few para 100 toons. What are you're thoughts on this guys maybe next tuesday?
Indded the button was and is there.
Just think, usually whgen blizz makes such an announcement it s very soon [1 week][ as they did with beta ,ptr etc
Not saying its same for D3 but when they would post stuff like this it usually means patch day is coming. Ether way ROS is coming they need to give us the patch so we can least get our 60 toons ready.
Pietrak,it is like that but alot people are too bored with endless farming damn crypts for papagon leveling as only point atm in live,so patch 2.0.1. will give us alot more interesting to do,...and there are plenty, thats for sure. I hoping for it release,as soon as possible.
Agreed with Drachar. And i personally think even ptr is ten times better then current live client. We will not have a lot RoS features Immediately, but that's what we will get in 2.0.1. is more then enough fun till expansion.
In my opinion, the removal of the AH button and the fact that they are still figuring out a lot of basic, pre-expansion patch relevant balancing issues, are strong signs that 2.0.1 will hit exactly on AH removal day. It's only 4 weeks anyways.
From what I've heard and read from PTR players (non-beta), 2.0.1 pre-level 70 is kinda underwhelming and does not really help to make the game more appealing; RoS content (Mystic, bounties, Crusader, new loot that replaces gear, new playstyle due to the removal of life steal) however does. So, if they release a rushed pre-expansion patch, some people might be frustrated and go so far as to cancel their RoS pre-orders or just not buy it. There's nothing to gain for them or us in releasing 2.0.1 sooner than later (maybe some paragon progress but really... save that week or two of crazy playing for when RoS hits the shelves).

I think this is the most likely scenario. However, they need to figure out a way for players to get their items out of the AH interface once the auctions have expired, since they don't go to the stash until the player sends them there. That new 2.0 AH button may have a use after all.

Gear wise, I can understand people saying it's underwhelming because legacy 60 gear competes very well with 2.0 60 gear. However, I think they need to give players some time to check out the massively revised skills and difficulty settings in order to smoothly launch into RoS.
2.0.1 with ah up is not a issue. Gear bought will be outdated asap when you start leveling up.
I doubt it is next week. But week after that for sure
What reason is there for them to do that? Just to get out a week or two earlier? It's simpler for them if they don't have to support the AH on a new patch at all.
2.0.1 can work with AH for a few weeks, no issue there. Blizzard will probably want to bring back players with the patch to have more people buy the expansion, I would be shocked if they don't release it soon.
but what is a point of developing patch 2.0.1 leaving it on ptr for months and then leave it on live servers for 7 days ? that is stupid
You can continue to play D3 even if you don't buy RoS. Like playing D2 classic even after LoD was released, which was a big thing that many people did.

That's true since Legs are BoA. Button or no button, I wouldn't mind having 2.0 sooner than later. Once I started playing on PTR, I never went back to Live. It is different, particularly if you level fresh.
PTR has; cursed chest events, paragon point system, loot 2.0 dynamic, skill changes, leg drops on an average of 2 hrs playtime. It does not have mystic, crusader or Act 5.
yes but its kinda next patch and last patch was year ago now they deliver 2 patchs in 1 week ?
ptr contains a lot of advertising for ROS (this is only accesable in ros, ...buy ros, ros only content)
it makes more sense to me this way
The 2.0.1 patch that kicks in after the AH is gone will also have the patch that is for RoS. Just that no one will be able to play RoS until it launches. I believe that the Beta servers will be shut down when patch 2.0.1 goes live.
Since the Battlenet Launcher will be mandatory and it looks like all the game data for RoS will be downloaded well before the launch to help reduce server strain for the launch.

Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.

Also doesn't have adventure mode with rifts & bounties.

Bingo. I would assume the PTR/Beta would be shut down before patch 2.01 goes live. It's still up and running and they havn't given any notice yet on when this shutdown would occur.
Sucks but its the most probable scenario .

I am looking forward to this patch and I do not care about the AH at all
