I don't know if it's been mentioned, but Dungeon Siege 3 comes out in a month (the demo drops on 360 at the end of this month; PS3 and PC demos follow on May 7th I think). It looks a little arcade-ish but very fun. Check out the hour-long quick look on giantbomb.com to get an idea of the game. I think it's going to scratch my action-RPG itch for quite a while.
I started playing D2 to pass the time and get back into the Diablo feel... but now I remember how ridiculously rare the good items are in that game (after about a month of playing I have two 85s, and some good donated gear but it's nearly impossible to find good items and runes).
That and Pallys and Sorcs really make you wonder why you are playing the other classes...

Bashiok - "How are the tests on feature XXX going?"
D3 Dev - "Well, our test chimpanzee was not able to understand feature XXX, but he is not a smart chimp."
Jay W - "WHAT?! Have it incinerated! Them simplify, no, REMOVE feature XXX!"
Players - "Wow that was close! I could not understand XXX feature, as I am legally retarded/in the Diablo 3 target audience!"

Yeah, it's funny, after the endless drought between TQ and TL, we're going to be seeing at least 4, maybe more quality attempts at the genre drop within a year, assuming PoE makes it in the next year.
Our current 'landlord' scammed me and my girlfriend, basically, he rented this appartment himself, while he claimed that he bought it. Even worse, he never ever payed the rent, so we ended up having to move out of this place before the 1st of june...
That sucks, bro. These days, with foreclosures and scam artists, tennants need to check out landlords more than the opposite.
I've been enjoying L.A. Noire for the last few days, and I plan on attempting Hardcore mode in Dead Space 2..that will probably fill up my time until The Beta starts.
Edit:
Games I plan on playing before Diablo's release:
-Rage
-Deus Ex Human Revolution
-Gears of War 3
-Batman: Arkham City
-Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
-Battlefield 3
-Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
well said...
just add torchlight 2 and dungeon siege 3 in order to quench some hack and slash thirst
The Witcher 2 has DEFINITELY got my attention. Easily the most beautiful graphics I've ever seen, and I really like the combat system, quirky though it may be.

Borderlands
Witcher 2
Marvel VS Capcom 3
Read/Watch a lot of Manga/Anime

Those 5 things ought to keep me busy until D3 betacomes out. Then it'll just be the last 2 things on that list even while D3 beta comes out, then beta until D3.
I don't want to play D2 at all, or games related to it like Torchlight and Titans Quest. Just don't want to play games that are similar in playstyle cause it'll just make me want D3 more, then it will feel like the wait is even longer till D3's release.
Right now ... getting disappointed by Witcher II, amusing myself with Fable III and when everything else fails, getting pawned by World of Tanks retarded match making system.
In the future ... definitely Skyrm, Dungeon Siege. Maybe Rage.
Out of curiosity, what do you find disappointing with Witcher 2? The only real issue I had with it was a few settings tweaks to make it run smoothly. Well, that and the combat, but I found it much more entertaining when I turned up the difficulty.
If I can find the time for it, I'd love to play these before Diablo 3 is released:
The Witcher 1 and 2
Mass Effect 2 (in addition to finishing up the first one)
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Bioshock
Dirt 3
Portal 2
Dungeon Siege 3
Dragon Age: Origins
Torchlight 2
Skyrim too, if we don't get Diablo 3 this year. This one has a rock solid second place on my list of most anticipated games.
If I'm lucky, I'll get to play at least one of these. Work and studies come first, and there's plenty of that.

Do video games really fill that big a gap?
I think that is how I'm handing this down-time...I really haven't been playing any games. I occasionally play some TF2 and I recently picked up D2 again, but I stopped playing quickly after realizing the only players left are bots...

Destiny is no matter of chance, it is a matter of choice
I'll be playing The Witcher 2 and Dungeon Siege 3 with my gf. As soon as beta pops I won't have the computer anymore because I'm sure my gf will rob me of it and I'll have to kids to look after ;).
P.S The blurring effect in The Witcher 2 can be turned off, I did so and it's so much more fun. Also, the games story, beauty and pretty much everything else makes up for it's minor gripes. Combat is a dream imo, I don't have any targetting issues so I can't see your point there.
