If I say "Gravity doesn't exist." I'm obviously wrong, since gravity does exist and affects us everyday. If I however say that gravity sometimes doesn't work on Earth, I could theoretically perhaps be right, butto what end? It would not be based on any form of fact whatsover, only a philosophical line of reasoning with no proof. Thus, just because it is an opinion, it doesn't prevent you from being wrong.
Then you see why I said absolute statements don't work in science. You just proved it.
and fix ur damn signature its too fuckin wide
Unless you have a computer the width of a pencil, my signature should not be too wide. It actually fits cozily between a left and right margin of about 150 pixels or so, I'd say.
If you have doubts you are not a Catholic anymore. True members of organized religion are fanatics. If you are not one, you're just a deist. Or a pretense.
You're a fanatic for deism. Hence why you're in this argument. Yes, it's an argument, and yes, you're arguing your point of view, if you want to go there.
Deism is a logical philosophy, based on the conclusion that God must exist due to common sense. Not a religion, it doesn't have fanatics.

Argumentation does not relate to fanatism. I am not arguing that all people should be deists. I am only arguing that people should not call themselves Catholics if they do not follow the explicit Catholic doctrine.
The common sense part of this is not something I can easily explain. It has to do with the direction of progress, which is morally positive; structure of humans, as imperfect beings; and the complexity of certain things that I believe neither Darwin evolution nor other "accident" could have generated. It's a combination of things, such as this :
"The effects we acknowledge naturally, do include a power of their producing, before they were produced; and that power presupposeth something existent that hath such power; and the thing so existing with power to produce, if it were not eternal, must needs have been produced by somewhat before it, and that again by something else before that, till we come to an eternal, that is to say, the first power of all powers and first cause of all causes; and this is it which all men conceive by the name of God, implying eternity, incomprehensibility, and omnipotence."
This poll is undoable, I don't even know what it's asking. Angels as in part of the historical fiction book written by a bunch of christians called "The Bible" or what?
I think I remember something about Deism from English class in 11th grade.
Isn't the analogy used something like God being a clockmaker. By which I mean he made us, and let's us live how we want, without him interfering?
Or something like that. Maybe that was something else.
From wiki: Deism is the belief that there is a God that created the physical universe but does not interfere with it. They often use the analogy of God as clockmaker.
So yes, you would be correct sir.

Well, I could even talk seriously and personally about sex without saying something akin to, "My girlfriend and I have had sexual intercourse not once, not twice, but thrice. During these times I had inserted my penis in and out of her vagina and ejaculated accordingly. I gently sobbed afterwards while she held me in her arms. This has all brought us closer together."

You clearly did not get the point of Equinox's post.
First of all, the point she made was that everything has a cause. You we're created from your parents, your parents from you ancestors, your ancestors from baacteria, bacteria from dead material, dead material from big bang, big bang from... what?
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

I see it became popular to bash wikipedia these days. Wikipedia is absolutely not useless, and it is highly accurate in the vast majority of matters. I looked up economics concepts on it, they are the same as economics classes concepts I learned. I looked up movie information, it agrees with tons of movie websites as long as the movie didn't, like, barely come out. Deism is an old philosophy founded by the British many, many years ago. It is taught in schools, but none of you ever pay attention in school, of course; it is written in many books, on some websites. Wikipedia provides a broad and unbiased definition of general deism and mentions its most important concepts. It is not inaccurate on deism at all. I know it. And so I give you this source because I believe it to be trustworthy. You think if I give you some not known site it's going to be more accurate? And it's not like you'll go read a book if I point you to one on deism on amazon? Your argument there is just baseless.

What does that have to do with anything? First of all, deism doesn't say anything about the existence of evolution or anything similar. As far as we are concerned, it is possible. But I personally never saw proof in it.
You know why my brain is different from my parents' brain? Because it incorporates a mix of alleals from my father and mother, dumbass. No evolution here. 0. Take a biology class before you make idiotic claims like this. You never stuidied evolution, you never looked deeply into it, or tried to reason with it. Someone thought it's cool to believe in evolution, just as it's cool to think wiki is bad, that's all. You have no opinion of your own.

Greater power is a stretchable definition. I believe it's just another human. But I told you before, my theory is too long to go into. Ask Magistrate.

The existence of a basic author does not prove or disprove the rule of Chaos. I just personally believe it's improbable that human beings are created by chance, because I do not believe in evolution.

I like to think of Jesus like with giant eagles wings, and singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an angel band and I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk!
1: wikipedia is garbage
2: yes the alleles and shit go into making your brain different than your parents but the complexity of our brains is far beyond the complexity of brains 100 years ago
3: dont believe in evolution (like you said to my dont believe ina higher power statement "suit yourself") but does that mean that you believe in creationism? if yes please explain how creationism is more logical than evolution
4: im majoring in marine biology, so yes i have a basic understanding of biology, and you had no clue what i had even said for what i said refer to point: 2
5:u said we came from parents parents from grand parents grand parents and ancestors from big bang and big bang from what? the big bang is the what, after you pick up a "idiots guide to biology" buff up on your astronomy then come back
