As an original Diablo, and Diablo 2 player, I was curious on the length of the game compared to the previous two. I know the first one wasn't exactly long, but was very difficult, the second being both long and difficult.
I see people are completing this game since just last night, are you guys staying up and not leaving the computer until you're finished? Or is the game really that short?
I know there is a ton a replayability with Diablo games, but I hope this isn't so short that it turns into just hunting for loot and nothing else.
took me and my buddy about 6 hours to complete act 1 and about 1/3 of act 2, while taking our time listening to the story. And remember that's just normal mode. it'l be long =)

Lol sorry just had to quote this cus in D2 thats all i remember . I mean first playthrough and trying out different builds and chars of course but dang, the amount of time i was looking for good loot that was fun.
I took roughly 9 hours 10 min to complete Normal, including 2-3 wipes on the final boss. I didn't exactly rush as I killed almost everything on my way and explored some side dungeons. Could easily be a 15 hour playthrough if I slowed myself down a bit and explored more things and talked to more NPCs.
Right now I just got finished with the Sunken Temple, I believe that is what it was called. Either way I've been playing Demon Hunter since like 5pm with a few breaks.
I like it enough, the only complaints are the following, unless I'm wrong about something.
-No way to use one handed weapon except for ranged (left and right click default with skill)
-No way to add specific attributes after level up.
-Only one skill level? You add the skill once, and that's it?
I've found a couple of random dungeons that were huge. One in Act 2 seemed to be bigger than the area that I found the dungeon in lol. If you check everything out like me I'm sure the game is significantly longer than just rushing through.
Dungeons and stuff is going to be huge in Diablo 3. I did normal in like 12-14 hours but kindof ignored most of the dungeons. But at 60 youre always going to have something to do.
It's longer, but it's easier- at least normal. Granted I'm not even through act 2 but I haven't hit a roadblock yet. No deaths. Diablo 2 required you to at least slow down and grind areas instead of plowing through content linearly. Everything I've seen you can zerg normal solo and it doesn't take much for an organized 4 man to finish just about everything pre-inferno
I don't know how you guys are doing it so fast. It took me 12 hours just to get to the end of Act II. But I am fully exploring every map. There are sometimes huge dungeons out in the middle of nowhere that you'd never see if you just do the main story quests. I've done more side quests and "Events" than main story quests. I'm looking forward to taking my time and enjoying Acts III and IV tomorrow
I have played about 5 hours so far and I have 3 hc characters levels 10-12 (1 dead rip). I have been waiting for this game for years, no way in hell im gonna skip anything.
