So my monk is on his way to put the crown on the king's head. All of a sudden this pack of champions spawn. Here's the rundown:
Monster Type: Those huge thorn beasts. They look like giant fat trees with spikes. They hit like mack trucks.
Number of Monsters: 4 Champion Attribute: Teleport
Think about that. 4 of those giant monsters that teleport right to you and slam you in the face. My monk had to burn through three potions to survive.
Same thing happen to me, but it was on my Demon Hunter. My in game buddies and I was doing find the SK crown or w/e and the pack of zombies that spit out more zombies have the teleport ability. LITERALLY they all teleported on me and puke out a handful of mobs on my screen. Then they all attacking me at the same time. OMG I almost die lol, but my game buddies came in time to stun and freeze them so I can kill some off and make my self an exit.
i find that the unburied at strong, but the teleport ability is wasted on them as they dont always teleport right ontop of you, seemskind of random, the most problem i have ever had was when i found a skeleton archer pack that had teleport (more annoying then deadly) might have had to use a potion before i was in full crafted gear
The first champion pack i ran into while in the cathedral during patch 13 was a pack of those dudes, cept they were molten. Still killed my low lvl 6 monk like 3 times. They kept running together so everytime i went in for a punch WHAP *dead*
Haven't died a single game. Haven't even ever used a potion and I've even played through naked the entire thing with 2 buddies naked too. We even killed SK without weapons.
I've actually encountered a worse version of that pack. A unique (yellow) horror with 5 adds (same type) all of them with teleport.
No doubt the hardest possible pack in the beta. Killed them fairly easy though.
I have used a potion once on my monk and i have died once just to see what happens, i wish those arcane enchanted packs were around in patch 13, they were quite mean
someone didn't know how to spam blinding light or deadly reach right....
Most ppl I know don't even use those skills. They suck 99% of the time.
Yes it is possible to die in the beta, so stop acting like an elitist douchebag.
WTF are you smoking... Deadly reach is awesome........
And again currently riding is not possible if you know how to play defensively. This is the reason blizzard made skill categories. In order to force noobs to keep a mix of skills... Specifically defensive ( all classes have the category)

Going back to the original point though, the monk is great at escaping - by level 13 you have two great escaping options,
Dashing Strike (low level) and Tempest Rush - don't tell me neither was an active skill?
I find Dashing Strike much better than Tempest Rush actually, it makes the class more mobile than the barbarian - and putting
out a significant amount of damage means that when I've been in co-op, I've been smacking targets while the barbarian is still scratching his arse. And of course the barb has a long cooldown on leap attack, but the monk does not
I will be playing Monk come game release, for sure.
I personally use Dashing strike to manually dodge things... the range is short when not targetting a mob.... but its good in combination with deadly reach to do the monk equivilent of kiting...

I don't doubt what you where able to do, beta was hardware testing patch 14 is supposed to being that portion of the game to realese difficulty.

That was awesome.
I didn't have blinding light equipped, and how could Deadly Reach have helped? Keeping them at a distance was impossible.
Please stop trolling.
They nerfed arcane mobs though... And in normal we only find teleporters and knockbackers for some odd reason...
teleport isn't cast every second... and isn't always spot on.....

A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
so, yes.. we will die.
