Now thats good customer service. Didn't think they would actually give a full refund.
Blizzard credits max. So that's pretty awesome for those that wants it, though i think it is few.

May 12, 2012Hey guys. Quick question.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I'm currently downloading the game files with the new installer, but it has run for over 6 hours now and still misses nearly 2 GB. So my question is thus:
Can I quit the installer (time for bed) and then resume at the same point tomorrow seeing how it's P2P? Or does it have to be downloaded it one go, so that I will loose all progress if I stop it now?
My intuition says I can safely shut it off for the night, but not entirely sure, so would be nice with an confirmation.

Couldn't agree more. There has been plenty of competitions in which you could have won a key. Sure some of those you needed to watch twitter 24/7 and then be super fast when it came, but you had the chance, only the opt-ins were random.Quote from Quimeraec

Alright let me articulate why I don't think this is fair. Blizzard has stated in the past feats of strength were something very difficult or something that is impossible to obtain anymore. They have maintained however through actions and wording that everyone has a chance at the feats. But with this beta that has been flipped, not everyone could have a chance for this feat, infact short of black martket buying a CD Key from a fansite there was no way to be guaranteed to get it.
All i had to do to get into beta was to subcribe to a nvidia newsletter. They were giving away invites to the first 400 subscribers.
They also gave away invites throu twitter and anybody could have been checking twitter to get those invites.
SO in my opinion this feta is strengh qualifies for this criteria.
So it still very much qualifies as a FoS. A hard one sure, but none the less.
Apr 30, 2012I honestly doubt that even the hardcore gets through inferno in less than a week, hell actually even 2. I'm thinking something like 20 days for the best.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Then again, it does amaze me what people are capable of, so who knows.

As Blizzard said themselves and this rings very true to the game: Diablo 3 will be easy to play but very difficult to master.Quote from Andarus
D3 doesn't require alot of skill. A liitle bit movement is no skill. D3 is all about the right itemzing and just playing alot. As a SC2 player I can just laugh about the skill-requirement in D3.
I believe that we will see people needing to be really good with their skills and movements when inferno hits, and even more so when PvP get's patched in, cause lets face it. Everyone can point and click, but the real challenge is to know which skills, with which runes to use in which situations. You might not have spirit (as a monk) enough for 2 skills, so which one saves your life in a PvP battle? There's a ton of optimization to be done and even more so to master a class.
As per which class might be "harder". It's hard to say really. One could easily argue that for PvE barb and WD might be on the easier side, while DH and Monk might be the harder ones. But come PvP WD won't be able to rely on pets the same way and hence might need much more finess.
Also remember that Blizzard also said that enemies in PvE in later difficulties might ignore pets alltogether and go straight for the hero. So the mindless body-shields might only work for normal difficulty.

He meant if those you talk to, actually HAVE beta access, or if they like you have just gotten in through this.Quote from slamaskin
yes playing on beta servers using beta client, can talk to people and everything
Apr 14, 2012@logic: Can't say i agree at all. That something is old doesn't make it good.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The hostality concept of D2 was one of the only things that I didn't like at all.
I loved playing with my friends and actually rarely came upon jerks that ruined our game by hostality.
So that it's cut is just a good thing, making a good franchise great. It stills retains all the core values of the old while adding new to the poll.
Apr 12, 2012What zero said.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
At least (imo) they should have given a few more pages. Like the entire Angiris Council. I got the book so I don't really care, but for others sake
But yeah they start the unlocks really slow. Lets hope for something better at 30% ^^
Apr 12, 2012Hi Diablo fans.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I've got a little treat, by the way of a fellow player, who got bugged at the Skeleton King Quest. The door to the skeleton king was unlocked and so he would walk straight in, without mobs OR skeleton king to block the way.
As you can see from the beneath screenshot, the "door" onwards is open, the throne revealing a hidden staircase, down deeper into the catacombs.
That should effectively end the question about how and where we will continue after the skeleton king

It simply means that you can teleport infinitely many times within 1 second. So it's limited to how many times you can teleport in that time after the first teleport. My guese would be 2-3 times.Quote from Sikk
But does this allow you to use only 1 extra teleport before the CD begins or will it reset after every successive teleport and you can use it until you're out of AP?
Ahh good, was gonna ask for a more "in-depth" question on that one, since I wanted to know exactly WHAT it was ya wanted to knowQuote from karsen88

Holy crap ask about spike trap-scatter
Yes please ask this (whether or not using the scatter run makes the hatred cost 90 or you cast all 3 for the cost of one)
Also clarifications on which %dmg increases are additive and which are multiplicative, or how to find out
Keep em coming, sounds good so far
Apr 6, 2012Hi guys.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Blizzard has been answering questions from fansites across the globe, and it seems that the time has come for the europe-ones now.
We're a full danish forum coming with questions, but seeing how I can't think about everything myself, I thought I'll let you guys get a chance at posting a few questions yourselves. I'll take the best and add them to the pool, so that hopefully we can get some really cool stuff answered
However, as Blizzard said to us: "Please limit your questions/subjects to the specific area of raw gameplay mechanics".
So they won't be answering lore, or otherwise, only questions related to how gameplay mechanics such as specific skills, crit, dogde, etc. works.
I'll gather answers the next 3 days, so you have a little time to get some creative thinking in
And thanks for all the good questions in advance.

Yes because Duriel killing us in act 2 in one hit sometimes just wasn't OP. It just means that you have to adapt

Many of them I can be cool about, but they take cyclone strike from 275% to 150% is unacceptable to me.
And our "ulti" costing 100 spirit, going from 450% + 450% to 150% + 150%... That's just nuts. Who the hell is going to use that now?

We (the EU sites) only got half that amount of keys (225)
No offence meant to anyone, but please don't come another countries forum if you're american and just hunt for keys. I know that everyone wants them, but US sites has gotten double the keys and there's like 10 times as many sites. For instance us danes only has 1 site and honestly it would be nice that if those that came for those keys actually cared at all for the community. So stick to your own giveaways and let us have ours. (good luck navigating the sites if you try though :P)
Again not meant at anyone, just my 2 cent
On a more cherrier note:
Awesome wiki update! gonna try right away: Bash
Feb 15, 2012Fifikus posted a message on AH Testing, Valentine's Day Wishes, Diablo Wallpaper, Diaboleques, and Curse Word MonthlyHow does this whole "get a month free premium curse account" work? I've tried subscribing through the link, but it just says "thanks for subscribing". It doesn't ask for my email, I wasn't even signed into my account when I did it, etc. and I haven't gotten any "welcome to the newsletter" email afterwards.Posted in: News
So can someone explain how it works and how I actually get subscribed?

Donald Trump tried trademarking the phrase "You're fired" (keyword: tried). It'd be a messed up world if we could.

who says the cant trademark it? after all they probably use it more than anybody else or any other company.
also i think its supposed to more or less be a joke, due to the fact they use it in nearly everything they post. lol
They can't trademark a commonly used word. That's like saying you wanna trademark the work "they" and sue everyone who wants to use it on trade mark infridgements.
But yeah it's probably a joke. Just wanted to know if anyone actually knew anything about it other than wild speculations.

" Soontm "
I've wondered for a while now, what's the deal with this whole: Soontm thing? I mean you can't actually trademark the word soon, so why are Blizzard employees always adding a trademark sign to it?

jeez, the curse video girl is horrible.....
Amen to that. She could REALLY use some lessons in broadcasting. Or just get a decent host instead.
On that note: Isn't it funny how EVERYONE suddenly has female casters for videogames? Curse does it here, LoL has it on their Summoner's Showcase, HoN has it in their Champion Spotlights and that's just to name a few.
What's your take on this trend? Are gaming sites and games trying to lure in their male ordiance by displaying a cute gamer female? Personally I don't particularly mind as long as they can deliver, but when I see one such as the curse one, I can't help feeling that they are sacrificing quality over *Sexyness* which in my eyes are bad.

I believe the question was if after Hell, people could jump in anywhere in inferno to farm, which was no, but once inferno had been completed you could jump in at any point and farm just like D2. I might be wrong but that's how I read it.Quote from Intodia
Regarding Bashiok's reply on Inferno does he mean that once we complete the difficulty of Inferno we can start farming directly anywhere at the difficulty afterwards like D2?
Oct 10, 2011To be honest the first winner is epic. Sure it's not really a caption, but it's so classic.Posted in: News
The sublety of the joke is just beyond brilliant. If you've ever seen that cartoon, you just know that she's taking the ball away just before charlie brown is about to kick it. Poor Charlie
