A Unique Collection
For all the achievement hunters out there now is a good time to finish or start A Unique Collection.
This achievement requires one to kill all 82 of the randomly spawning Unique Monsters listed on the achievement. To help make this task easier, our wiki has each unique monster listed with the act it is located in, and the location within that act. Happy hunting!
Blizzard at PAX Prime this Week
A few Blizzard CMs will be at PAX Prime this week. Feel free to stop by and say hi to them and talk about Diablo as well!
PAX Prime begins this Friday in Seattle, WA, and with all of the madness that’s sure to ensue we’d be remiss if we didn’t make a cameo of our own. We do hope you’ll come visit Bashiok and me at the Intel booth, and Nethaera and Vaeflare at the NVIDIA booth. You can’t miss us. We’ll be the bright-eyed idealists ready to share a conversation or two.
In addition to what Intel and NVIDIA have planned, we’ll have hundreds of Mists of Pandaria beta keys to randomly giveaway, as well as playable demos at both booths! We look forward to meeting with those of you attending. All Seattle’s a stage.
Follow us on Twitter to see what we’re up to and chat with us during the festivities:

I've given up on achievements (well, I was not much interested to begin with) due to bugs and such, but the data on Wiki are always interesting so I'll go check right away.
Paragon lvls are beyond me at the moment, my higher lvl char is 45 so I still have a long way to go.
I bought D3 on launch but quit in early July. I logged on after 1.04 to check my friends list. I have 12 friends. All of them quit around the same time I did and haven't been back.
The game is great about the first five times through. After that it feels like a chore that provides no real satisfaction. At least Diablo 2 had PVP at launch and 99 levels to work with. The classes felt like they had good synergy. The monsters didn't want to make you punch your monitor.
I check out this site daily to see if there's anything exciting coming. I feel like 1.04 promised more than it delivered. Mostly things that should have been in at launch, like auction house and GUI improvements. The only thing it really provided was class rebalancing. I'm hoping something comes along soon, like an expansion announcement.
I like how Blizzard [paraphrasing] "wanted the game to focus less on the gear grind and make endgame more exciting.]
Paragon levels do nothing but focus on the gear grind. They give you magic find. Some see it as prestige. I see it as a hollow attempt to keep people chasing a carrot on a stick.
The poll is missing a group which is why so many chose 'have not played'. There is no option for those you've played but have not achieved paragon lvl 1; so all those not playing max level characters for whatever reason or those who've played lvl 60 characters but not enough to level up.
I fall in that group. I played my 60 monk for a bit but didn't hit paragon level 1, then I went back to leveling my Wizard. Haven't had time to play a whole lot but will be playing off and on now that 1.0.4 has made things more interesting. To this poll though it looks like I'm one of those unhappy with it, bored and not wanting to touch diablo.
Waifu Wars 2, Patch 1.0.2, Patch 1.0.3, [SC/HC] Gold market crashing, lack of a Mystic artisan, lack of character selling, lack of HC RMAH... there's lots of reasons why people don't play anymore.
edit Yes there are people who still follow patch notes to games they no longer play, because we care about the games we play.
Funny how that many are not interested in the game anymore, yet visit a news site.
I still visit the site from time to time and I don't play the game right now. I visit because I am looking for a reason to play. I'm not one of those people who is going to try to convince everyone else a game sucks. I played Diablo 2 for ten years and I was beyond excited for Diablo 3... then I played it and was very disappointed.
Paragon levels just don't seem appealing to me and I was not impressed by the new Legendary items (which could just be because I wasn't a big fan of the stats system in general on items).
So I am holding out hope that PvP or future changes will get me excited about the game again, because Diablo 3 at its core really has a chance to be an incredible game. Until then I'm going to play some PoE, since that game is a little bit closer to what I expected out of a Diablo sequel.
The poll is missing a choice, especially for HC only players. I came back to play a little after 1.0.4 but I don't have a level 60--having lost my level 60 wizard previously.
I have a 40 ish barb but chose to level another wizard first. She's level 29. Some of the early changes are cool but I'm far from worrying about paragon levels.
Without looking, I'd bet most of these are farmers. You know the ones with like 50,000+ elite kills, who are obviously playing 24 hours a day every day since release?
I don't play a whole lot, and I'm at PL17. XP gems help a lot though. I think its a little more realistic than 76. Those people don't need a life, they need a ban because they're obviously botting. Someone farming for 12 hours a day to PL should be around 35-40 tops. I'm pretty sure anyone that is 45+ is obviously botting. Totally ruins the competition.
Yeah, over 30% answering with have not yet played is kind of sad
I bet majority of those are lying.
I logged in for 15 minutes with patch 1.04 after quitting, said "Fuck this is still boring" and logged back out and haven't logged in again.
Nor do I expect to.
I mostly check the news site breifly to see what awful things blizzard will come out with next "Paragon levels" are up there with the absolutely most ridiculous idea that could have made.
What I'm surprised about is how many aren't playing, considering the poll is indeed on MMO-C's front page as well. That tells a lot. A lot indeed.
People are waiting for the rest of the game systems to get tuned. Particularly the return of character customization with an overhaul of skill and leveling system, and change of drop rates to provide steady stream of uniques and quality rares to people who do not use auction house. Looking at player review of the game, the removal of the RPG character creation element, and the auction house tuned drop rates are the biggest gripes.
I find it absolutely amazing that the majority vote was "have no played" yet they're checking Diablo fans and putting their time in to actually vote on a poll.. I can pretty much guarantee 75% of the people that voted for that option are lying, grow up and admit you like the game still It's an amazing game, most people just get their pitch forks and torches and join the mob!! Just enjoy the game, if you don't like it, don't waste your time talking about it
I think people are telling the truth. I think many people have a tremendous loyalty and respect for the Diablo name and the Blizzard brand, they keep involved because they hope that Blizzard will fix the game piece by piece.
My Wizard reached paragon level 2 before I stopped. I keep meaning to come back to the game to do some more... something, but then I end up doing other activities and forget about it. Not a good sign. :\

Diablo III Chrome Themes
Thunderclaww has put together two great Diablo III Chrome themes. He has also talked about making more themes for each Act and class. Make sure to stop by his thread to leave any feedback!
What Paragon Level Are You? With only one week to level at this point, how many paragon levels have you earned on one character?
haha, there are some 200+ over 30 alone http://www.diabloprogress.com/

Thanks Molster and all the people working on wiki
