Title: Blizzcon 2013 Bingo
Objective: Get five in a row. This can be modified or completely changed depending on what the group wants. I did my best to spread out easy squares and hard squares so the game lasts longer, and tried to vary things so it'd be interesting. I think you can tell where I began running out of ideas...

my dreams was crushed!
the excuses are totally BS thought!
The game was built from the ground up to take full advantage of Battle.net,
bs1, no its not, and console version can prove that this game engine CAN run offline.
and many more disadvantageswhich provides a number of important benefits,
sure thats fine, but we can do it 1 time per months as StarCraft II does without problems!including persistent server-side character saves,
thats the biggest BS off all! the game still uses the damn Asterix network and not client server 100%, and thats why a fast player gets fps issues and gameplay lag, when a Slow internet player joins the damn game!a seamless PC multiplayer experience,
yeah right! lets be realistic here, call it a damn online DRM ok?cheat prevention,
we don't care actually! because if you do a simple research you will see that a very very small percent of player meet strangers online and after a game they are "friends". most of the time they don't care, they dont chat, they dont make friends with strangers they just want to loot!and Real ID and BattleTag social features.
real LAN was helping making real FRIENDS! so Real ID etc are BS marketing, when in fact players are more isolated than before, and they don't want their REAL name to be exposed (by default) to strangers online!
screw the damn stupid antisocial Facebook row models.-
So, so much this. I wish I could up-vote your post more than one time. I think this .gif pretty much sums it up: http://i.imgur.com/g8r5wmN.gif.
I am still really very frustrated over how Blizzard treated D3 players on some many things, including the biggies - RAH and GMAH. Always-online does not make for a stronger multi-player experience - one player in the game with a degraded connection causes problems for the other players in the group. Always-online makes for a crap experience in solo play, too, when a family member hops on to my wi-fi or starts downloading a big file (for example, a WoW patch) when I'm connected via ethernet.
I also don't need the game saving my character to the server as often. The only real reason for the amount of "persistent server-side character saves" was for the players who used RAH and, especially, GMAH to buy gear for their characters. Imagine the b****-fest from those players when something happened to the characters they spent real dough on. But the RAH and GMAH are going away next year!
Which leads into the "full advantage of Battle.net" statement. Did anyone else think of the Steam-like game launcher which currently is in beta? Or how Blizzard stated and followed through on making B.net work with importing Facebook contacts? Or the recently tested tech for a World of Warcraft in-game store? "Full advantage" here means (and I don't think this an unreasonable conclusion considering other actions and words) leveraging the tech so they can make money. I'm not against a business making money, but when they are jack***** about how they make money then I take issue.
(As a related side-note, who on Earth does Blizzard think its fooling about cheat prevention? Cheating and duping and other shenanigans are still very prevalent in the game. Always-online has done little in protecting against cheating.)
What is disturbing to me is how sharing information about yourself and what you are doing and when you are doing it has become so much of a social norm that desiring something offline is somehow wrong and potentially deviant. I just want to play a game that isn't always reporting back to its masters. Games don't need that. When I wanted to play with friends - real friends and not the diluted version of the word - for D1, I held fun LAN parties. Blizzard helped make that fun happen then... why can't it do it now?
Dumping the auction houses is a start, but there is so much further to go before I would be willing to pick the game back up.
TL;DR Yes I am bitter. -

Sep 14, 2012Aliok posted a message on Dev Journal: Defensive Bonuses and Monster DamageI can't speak for other classes since I only play Wizard. The problem with Wizard is not the damage that we have to mitigate through gear and abilities like Energy Armor and Diamond Skin; they are the symptom of something else, namely with resource regeneration and passives that should be desirable but have prohibitive downsides to them.Posted in: News
[If you want to read a write-up by Bishop120, go here. (And if you do read it, please bump it. Deserves to be seen by many more people.) Every word he wrote I can back up with my own experience.]- The only way for Wizards to boost Arcane Power regen is via "Arcane Power on Critical Hit" (APoC).
- The only way to boost the effectiveness of APoC is to stack critical chance bonuses on gear.
- And now that you are going down that route, Critical Mass becomes an extremely attractive passive...
- and then so does Evocation...
- and since Cold Blooded doesn't have the downside that Glass Cannon does, that means Frost Nova is now part of your rotation...
- but since Frost Nova means getting kissy-kissy with monsters (mostly) you need survivability because Wizards do not get the 30% reduction which is base for Monks and Barbarians...
- soooo cue Energy Armor plus Prismatic Armor rune and Diamond Skin plus Crystal Shell rune.
- Now you need a resource spender that hits fast and multiple times in order to maximize the opportunities for critical hits, i.e. Explosive Blast runed with Chain Reaction and Energy Twister runed with Storm Chaser (originally Wicked Wind before the 50% nerf to proc; Storm Chaser appears to be unaffected).
- Profit, you now have the near-ubiquitous CM Wizard build. http://us.battle.net...7/hero/18526052 ← that's me minus the good gear bit because I am poor.
<_< If I didn't have to constantly fight my resource, I'd be much more willing to try different builds. -

Hero profile for the streamer at twitch.tv/goodideagaming. This is essentially the reason behind the 50% nerf to CM/WW wizard build. The build is still possible, but you will no longer be able to perform with budget gear; you will have to max out critical chance. Way more effort and gold (or cash for RMAH users).
I'm a little bitter over this, considering how fun* it appeared and something I am slowly working toward. I don't want them to nerf Barbarian just because my favorite class/build is nerfed, but... daaaaaaaang.
*Fun shall be understood to mean "I kill the monsters without running away all over the map." -

Now every group joined is going to be a boring inspect/kick fest until the "perfect" group is formed. Definitely less incentive for me to co-op than before.
I don't believe so - at least the "inspect/kick fest until the "perfect" group is formed" part. PUGs are usually in a hurry to get things done, and players that don't keep up or pull their weight are going to be vote-kicked anyway. It's also really boring gameplay waiting around for the other players to kill the monsters up ahead. Doesn't seem an efficient means of farming either way. -

Me Gusta on the sneak peak of changes..... I enjoy very much that MF will no longer be averaged...... dirty leeches this is MY 300 5 stack mf :-p
People were upset on the beta when MF was changed to average between party members (supposedly to prevent players from stacking MF gear to the detriment of the other party members). Blizzard was told this is a disincentive for co-op play. Oh well, better late than... no, should have listened to us in the first place. Sometimes beta players do know better.
Ok, got the rant out of my system. I cannot wait for the change to go live so I can join MF groups without needing high-end MF gear myself. I rather enjoy tanking for others. -

Don't even try peeps? Really? Antivirus software is for the most part complete $h1t. Nothing but a system resource hog. Try uninstalling it and then giving the game another go. If you think antivirus software will help you then you are a fool. Anyone with basic common sense about the way the internet works doesn't need such crap on their PCs. Just MHO.
I bet you would visit Africa without getting any immunization shots.
No antivirus software is perfect. There are hogs, there are crap detectors - but the number one issue with any antivirus is the end user. Many people do not understand the difference between passive and active protection, or that those terms even exist. Antivirus software is only as good as the user that remembers to regularly apply updates and regularly scan their computer.
If anyone is looking for free antivirus software, try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and/or Spybot: Search & Destroy. They are not resource hogs and are pretty good at catching things. If you are willing to pay for a subscription-based antivirus, ESET NOD (No Open Door) 32 is currently the best on the market.
If your operating system is Windows XP Service Pack 3 or newer, download and install Microsoft Security Essentials. It's fairly good, too.
The biggest lesson to remember, though, is no one is immune. Just using common sense is not enough because you cannot control the environment that you surf in. Anecdote: My brother is co-owner of a computer and electronic devices repair shop. He is brilliant (and I am not saying this because I am related to him) at it. He still caught a nasty infection because the website he visited had been compromised. -

I did the exact same thing. No way in Sanctuary or any other world, real or imagined, does Diablo III deserve that honor. Ever. The whole game hasn't even shipped, technically, because PvP was advertised as part of Diablo III - and here we are, still waiting on that patch. It has taken months for the game to lose most of its "still in beta" experience.
So I voted Assassin's Creed: Revelations instead.

Right-click the username and report them for harassment. Then just move on; they aren't worth the time or emotion.
The AH takes a 15% cut from every transaction. For 65 million gold pieces, that comes to 9,750,000 gold. Also, please don't compare the harassers to people with 50-80 IQ range - it's an insult to people with 50-80 IQ.
