    posted a message on Rubberbanding.....
I laugh every time I see a hotfix display the patch notes saying that they fixed rubberbanding issues. I think that it is still a big problem and hasn't really gotten better in the last 5 months.

I think a good idea for Crusaders is to let Shield Block Value scale with Strength or maybe Stamina, when using a 1h. Either with the Heavenily Strength passive, or a seperate one *looks pointedly at Hold Your Ground*

This would work well for crusaders as it would give ALL crusaders a toughness boost (even the damage based crusaders, as they'd have lots of Str>lots of block), and would even give the more shield based Crusaders a small damage boost as alot of the more tanky shield based abilities scale from Shield Block Value as well as Weapon Damage.
I like the idea of it scaling with vitality. Crusaders already get a double bonus from Str (dps and armor), so vit increasing block chance/amount would allow for vit to help more for all classes equipping a shield.

posted a message on Timers on abilities?

If someone is using an add-on that puts numbers over the cooldown animation on the bar, then they are violating the ToS and risk being banned. I wouldn't do it if I were you. However, I would love to see Blizzard add that option in the UI settings for those that want to enable it.

posted a message on No end game in future, no point in playing.

I understand that there are a lot of people who think that RoS doesn't have an end game. As someone who doesn't have beta access, I can't confirm nor deny I feel that way about the expac, for the love of all that is holy, can we just create a sub-section in the forum for these threads and hide them from the "top feeds" section. I'm getting sick of people posting threads with no rational reason for the titles. I see some of these "RoS sucks" or "RoS has no end game threads" that make valid points, but a lot of them are just people whining that their most wanted idea wasn't implemented exactly like they wanted it to be.

We all have the right to criticize, but at least give a rational argument to your viewpoint and provide reasonable suggestions for improvement. Now, I'll stop my own whining and get back to work.

posted a message on Fun Legendary Ideas

These are great ideas and exactly the kind of things that the community should be giving to the devs. Here are my suggestions (all Whimseyshire themed):

    1. Infernal Herding Daibo: Tempest Rush leaves a trail of rainbows that do XX% as holy damage over XX seconds.

    2. Waffle of Torment (Shield): When an attack is blocked, enemies get covered in syrup causing their movement speed and attack speed to be reduced by xx% for XX seconds.

    3. Horn of the Cursed Unicorn (Mojo): Zombie Dogs get transformed into unicorns. The unicorns release a sparkling cloud aura that reduces damage done by monsters by XX%.

    4. Astronomical Candy Box (Source): Your meteors cover monsters in fudge, which increases the damage from your next school of magic used by XX%.

    5. Lollipop of Fury (2H mighty weapon): Turns your HOTA into a brittle lollipop which shatters on impact. The shattered pieces cause all enemies within XX yards of the impact to bleed for XXXX-XXXX over XX seconds.

    6. Boots of the Ferocious Teddy Bear: Removes the discipline cost of vault and makes a funny squeaking sound when you land. (If you're going to make vault OP, then you have to make it reasonably annoying to hear...)

    7. Leggings of the Loot Pinata: You can no longer take physical (or arcane, or fire, or cold, or lightning, etc.) damage; however, the damage from all other sources is increased by 50%.

But then that further gimps Crusaders that choose not to used 2H+Shield..... The only real options seem to be that HS gives a bonus to 1H or the negative aspect of HS is made greater.
I think reducing the movement speed further could work, but then you'll find someone who gets that leg shield or finds a new build that negates the negative effecti of the reduction in movement speed (aka high uptime steed).

Typically, I think Blizz likes to buff when they can. Maybe some sort of benefit of heavenly strength 1H could be something like increase the damage of your 1H strikes by 10%. I mean, you do have heavenly strength coursing through your veins and all...

    Quote from Bagstone

Imho, comparing current difficulties to RoS difficulties is like comparing apples to oranges. There's a reason why Blizzard completely renamed all difficulties (see Lylirra's post). I'm really puzzled as to why PTR doesn't get at least Torment 1-3 or so. I can see that people with their absolutely OP gear and 3-6% LS are just rushing through all content like crazy. But don't just look at that and make any judgement about how difficulties in RoS will turn out. It's kinda like judging D3V based on playing Nightmare act 3 with a level 55 character. Also, they're looking into mob density, see the Blue post tracker. It's a test realm, not a "this is the final game which we present to you three months in advance" - realm. Edit: Just to add on the "Crusader is OP" discussion - there was a highly rated thread on the RoS forums the other day about the Crusader actually being too weak. I was quite surprised because I also had the feeling that the Crusader was somewhat OP, but maybe it's just subjective because I'm mainly interested in a more "tanky" wizard and that playstyle is simply not possible right now because of balancing and bugs (most shield generators don't work the way they're supposed to work, which is why we're doomed to kite, which is why getting to T2+ requires to use "broken" mechanics like freezelock or OP legendaries).
PTR doesn't get Torment because they aren't letting anyone level to 70. If they dropped that limitation, then you'd be able to get there.

So the conclusion of this thread is: DH sucks. :D
Regarding this comment...I think it's correct, but not why you think. I've been playing PTR for awhile now and the DH is still my least favorite class. DH used to be my main before I rolled a barb and monk, but I don't find it enjoyable anymore because I am always too resource starved. I think that this could be improved by making hatred generators give more resources. My ideal DH config would be to use hatred generators to gain resource and provide minor cc effects and have hatred spenders actually provide the bulk of the damage. They are on that path with the spenders, but I still feel that generators are lackluster.

posted a message on [PTR] Arcane Torrent Build
What is proc'ing all of those orbs? Is it an item that you have to equip or is there something else I'm missing here?

Please keep in mind, ladies and gentlemen of the forum, I'm just a wizard noob. I fell into the rut of the WW Barb and later found out about the elements. Your world frightens and confuses me! Sometimes the whirling orbs of your spells make me want to get out of my perma-Archon and run off into the hills, or wherever. Sometimes when I get a massacre on this killing machine, I wonder: "How in the hell did I do that?" I don't know! My primitive mind can't grasp these concepts. But there is one thing I do know - I don't always play a wizard, but when I don't, I sure as hell won't play my DH.

posted a message on Can a Diablofans.mod please post this or ask Blizzard what the hell happened with monster density!
The patch version from which they built the beta doesn't concern me. It's a reality in the world of parallel software development cycles.

One thing that I noticed in this thread was that no one mentioned the density potentials you encounter in Nephalem Rifts. I may sound like a conspiracy theorist, but what if they are going to lower the overall density to push people who want high density interaction into end game features like Nephalem Rifts, Cursed Chests, etc.

That thorns build is great, I'm planning to do wth similar on my WD with pets build, looks promising.

I agree. I was hoping that Thorns would be good and it doesn't look like we will be let down by it now. Imagine this build with a Monk's Sweeping Winds build!

I'm already pumped about the Crusader but this video makes me want RoS to get here that much faster.

"Picking up gold grants experience." = mega win
"Companion calls all companion types to your side." = This will be interesting to play with.
"Sentries cast your hatred spenders." = I'm excited about this one!
"You are immune to Desecrator, Molten, and Plagued monster types." = This sounds too good to be true. I bet it will come on something without primary stats.
"Enables all Archon runes." = damn...if only they were keeping perma-Archon.
"When you die, a meteor falls from the sky and revives you. This effect has a 300 second cooldown." = This will be nice so you don't have to run back, but it's not a game changer.
"2% chance on killing a demon to gain a random Shrine effect." = I wonder if this will include just the regular shrines or the Nephalem Rift OP ones too.
"Earthquake_Set_x1 - Earthquake Set" = I wonder if this is going to be a new armor set that improves the Earthquake ability of the barb.

    Quote from CardinalMDM

Someone commented on Facebook that it's a Cataclysm set in Warcraft. Don't know how true that is, but...

I'm sure if it's even close, we'll get tons of people complaining they don't want Warcraft in Diablo.

Truthfully, I don't mind it. Warcraft made Blizzard a household name, and without a million bazillion different flagship series', I don't blame them for having crossovers and nods.

As a former Warcraft player, I could see that someone might think it is a little bit like the Warrior's tier armor set at the end of Cataclysm (http://www.wowhead.com/itemset=-466). However, I think that it looks much more like what we would have expected a nephalem to look like in the first generation. It looks both angelic and demonic.
