For some reason even the live servers is getting super laggy after this buff has gone live. Had the same problem when the buff was live a few days ago.
Checked the official forums and i'am not the only one with this problem.
There are (most likely) two reasons why this is happening are:
1. Tons of people trying to get into and playing on the servers make it harder for the machines to keep up with all the sessions. After all, PTR is scaling for a testing audience, not a production crowd.
2. Each item drop processes the algorithm for determining the item's attributes (rare vs leg, sword vs shield, affixes, etc.). The huge increase in drops puts strain on the game client. It also is creating an entry on the game database when the item is picked up, because it has to associate the item id with the space IDs for inventory.
All of these extra functions (combined with the # of people from point 1) will cause the PTR to be "laggy."

If you try for long enough, then it's bound to happen.

All legendary gem effects cannot be proc'ed by followers.

I accidentally salvaged an ancient furnace the other day. It happens. Just keep farming and hope for the next to drop. Luckily, Nemesis bracers aren't too hard to get in comparison to my screw-up.

I would like a pure solo mode to make that leaderboard actually mean something. You could have an isolated stash for those sets of characters so there is truly no benefit in gear accumulation, gem leveling, etc. from other characters on the account running groups. I would like to see how different it really is the level of achievement when someone can't leverage any benefit from a group play.
No group leveling, bounties, Rift/Grifts, gear, etc. Just pure solo.

I'm almost there. Need to get some gems to 65 to get to the last section for the tab. Running Grift 70 right now so I know that I'll be able to push higher once I level my gems so they don't suck (~average of gems is around lv45). I would totally be there already if I hadn't accidentally salvaged that ancient furnace...

Wav1_d,
I recommend what a lot of others have said. Compare the old and new gear to each other and then get rid of anything that is not well rolled or you know that you can't use for a build that interest you.

Okay, I have to bring this up because I noticed in the ad on the right-hand column.
Has anyone else noticed that Tracer is wearing Crocs? WHAT ARE THOSE?!?!?!

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share something that I observed that corresponds with one of the highlighted blue threads on the homepage.
http://www.diablofans.com/blizz-tracker/topic/62244-diablo-3-overexposed-super-bright
I know a lot of people often wish D3 was darker. I found a nice balance on this indirectly. I spend a lot of time on the computer so I wear Gunnars (or Gamma Rays) but there are times where I forget to take them with me. So I started using an app called f.lux, Basically, it "dims" your desktop based upon the time of day to help your sleep cycles and reduce eye strain. It doesn't really dim it; rather it reduces the amount of blue light emitted. I manually set it to the lowest, non-admin setting for light and love how it works.
The other day I fired up Diablo and found that it was still working against my monitor while the game is playing. It gave it a darker feel that I think some people might enjoy. It will change the color of some things because of the way it reduces blue light, but I think that is worth is since it will also help your eyes for long periods of time. If you don't want to install the app, then you can try to get a pair of Gunnars or Gamma Rays instead. Gunnars willl run about ~$80 and the Gamma Rays will be closer to $20.
Anyways, just sharing something I thought would be helpful for some.
Thanks,
Thorn

Hi Everyone,
For those of you who were in the beta for 2.4.1, which class is the best to roll for solo season 6 conquests? My schedule doesn't let me normally run with folks, so any insight into this would help me actually complete the items I need to get another tab.

I'll play season for a while, but I won't stay there permanently.
TL;DR: I do it for the tab.

I
likelove this thread!Idea for affixes:
I think that this gives the item some synergy with the set and is something more special than an bonus like +100% Rend damage.

Here is what I propose, change the way that empowered GRifts work but still use them as a gold sink. You empower the rift and it lets you continue to upgrade the gem for a gold cost until you're done or out of gold. The gold cost will continue to increase as if you were empowering the GRift at the level of the gem. For example, you opt to empower a GRift 30 and you want to keep upgrading a lv 0 gem to that level.
You get the first 3 rolls for free like you normally do, but then lv 4 will cost 242,000g, then level 5 will cost 279,000g, etc. This goes on all the way until level 30 (7,400,000g per attempt) and failure rates stay the same. So if you hit 27 and fail, then you have to pay another 5,500,000g to roll again and hope you don't have to pay a third time. The gem will only upgrade to the level that you empowered.
I know that some people in the forum will say that this change would just encourage botting. Well, there isn't much in this game that discourages it, so adding this as a convenience won't hurt those who do play legitimately and want to power level. Without running 20+ Grifts to get a single gem up to par. I actually think it adds more value to items with gold find and BotH since people might actually farm for gold now to use it.
