I hope as Blizzard balances the game more and more Rares also get a buff. There should always be a chance that you find a really awesome BiS Rare. Imo its a complete fail that Rares are only cool for materials then they get completely avoided.

posted a message on Blizzard says it was wrong to allow offline play in Diablo II
I really loved the D2 mod scene so it kind of bothers me when Blizzard says D2 offline was a mistake. I think maybe they should have held their tongue because a lot of people really loved playing offline and with mods. Also third party programs like the one sthat let you share stash space were awesome.

Like i said, they should just stop talking about D2 because they are coming off like they dont like the game at all. Its just bad PR in general.

What is going on with Blizzard? Are they just sick of hearing about D2? I think they finally lost it.

Here's the article where Blizzard puts its foot in its mouth.

    http://www.pcgamer.c...y-in-diablo-ii/

"I don’t think people necessarily remember how mad they themselves were that they had an offline mode and online mode in Diablo II," Martens said. "This will probably be controversial for me to say. People will be like, 'I wasn’t mad!' But I was there at the time, and then I studied this for a living. It sucks when your friend or brother is online and he wants to join this game, but you realize you’re an offline character and he’s an online character, and there’s no way to transfer over because offline characters can be hacked and hex-edited to hell and back, right?"

Soulbound legendaries sounds great imo. It would really make them feel more legendary. Imagine seeing someone else having an awesome legendary and you know that the only way to get it is to have it drop, to me that would really feel like an achievement getting that item. I think it will work well with loot 2.0 .. Also it would be cool if they did it like in D2, where specific legendaries drop from specific monsters, so you know where to look for em.

But then again, i also think trading is a fun part of diablo. But i'd still sacrifice a part of the trading for making the game more fun and satisfying :)

(dont know why the text turned grey, sorry lol)

Its not as awesome as you think it is. I have around 200 hours in the console version with a 450k Dps unbuffed barb with 120k hp and 900 AR. It took almost no effort to get like that and i couldnt careless what other people found when im that OP.

I'll be honest im a self found player but even I as biased and selfish as I am I think 100% BoA legos and sets are a really, really bad idea.

I'm all for making enchanted and high end crafted gear BoA, thats fine. But you need to let people trade the other stuff. I don't care if you only let them use trade forums and chat to barter.

By taking away trading you taking away one of the major selling point of the genre, an item economy. Remove that and you also diminish another feature, Ladders.

For many a new ladder season means a new economy, new price lists and a chance to strike it rich. without trading its a leveling race (only 1% of the players care about) and a hunt for ladder items (gets old quick).

I just think this whole thing is a bad idea. I suggest everyone make a fuss and maybe Blizzard with change their minds.

Have you guys played the console version? If so you know with hardly any effort you get every damn legendary and set item you need. Now that we know rare legend and set items will be BiS in RoS i highly doubt they will be hard to find.

Honestly i'll give it to blizzard for trying something new. I mean before D3 released if someone told you we would see a Diablo game with No skill trees, pvp or trading what would you have said?

Yes we learned about specific Adventure mode features.
That Blizzard hates trading and how Sony is willing to spend a lot of money to ensure D3 is only on PS4.

LOL this is too funny. Self founders wanted their own mode.

Blizzard gave them an entire game. L O L

    im confused

    Neph Trials
    Devils Hand
    Loot runs

    Were three seperate mechanics.

Now we know Loot runs were renamed Neph Rifts and im unsure if the other two were wrapped into this mechanics with bounties and adventure mode or if they still exist on their own.

    Player Mail:

Player Mail is pretty much what it sounds like,” Humphreys explained. “You can mail an item to a friend on your friends list, so it’s pretty straightforward. Player Gifts are kind of a cool twist on that. So, let’s say you’re out adventuring in the world and you get a Legendary item that drops. There’s a small chance that a second Legendary would spawn off of that. So, let’s say you and I are playing, it would say ‘gift for [your friend] has dropped,’ and so once I click on it, it would just go straight to your mailbox. And once you open it, it will roll for your class. It’s kind of a way to help share your adventures even if you aren’t online at the same time

    Avenger Kills:

Let’s say you’re out playing in the world and a lowly white monster manages to get that last killing blow on you,” Humphreys said. “There’s a chance that that monster will level up and then a portal will open and the monster will jump through. And then maybe later on when I’m playing in my game, a portal may open up and the monster will come through and I’ll get a message like ‘[your friend]’s killer is now hunting you.’ And I have a chance to then take vengeance for this monster that killed you. It’ll be now a unique monster that has affixes and is much more powerful and when loot drops, of course, I’ll be able to get mine, but that I can send some back to you. It’s just kind of a fun way to help connect games.

posted a message on Will Blizz add a new system to support trading after the Auction Houses are removed?
I hate to bring up Path of Exile but with its official Oct 23rd release the devs hinted at public stash tabs for trading.
A player could link a stash tab on forums or in chat, set a price and then if someone is interested in an item in that stash the seller gets a message to meet the buyer in game.

THis seems like the evolution of bartering and unlike the AH doesn't completely destroy the core of the game.

I would love to see something like that in Diablo 3. Give us a fourth stash just for public trading, sellers could add in custom notes on each item.
