Will be interesting to see how different they could make the Necro compared to the WD.

My biggest issues with D3 (current version) were lack of randomized content, How Paragon gave you incentive to play only one class and how the skill rune system took replay value away from rerolling the same class as a different build.
So far They announced loot runs which takes care of my randomization issue.
They Announced a Paragon system with point allocation that has no cap and is account wide... basically promoting Alt character play...
They fixed everything, Sure they still have the Skill/rune system but the paragon 2.0 system is enough that it makes me want to play more than one class and thats all i wanted.
Other things like better loot, new class, new act, bosses, monsters, items, mystic and transmorg are all great bonuses as well.
If the expansion released today i would wait on a 10 hour line to buy it. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Some of the caps should be easy to get. Like the Crit damage cap cna be hit with 1 weapon and socket. That would open up rings, amulets and gloves so we wouldnt need CD on them making other options like +Loh, All Res and other less wanted stats as viable.
Obviously we will still need to focus on certain stats for our class builds but i think it should be that way. I just want it to be a tad more flexible than the way it is now (tri or quadfecta or bust).

Anyone complaining about this change obviously had no issue stacking these stats and ignoring 95% of the games items, However for people that want to be flexible in our gearing this is a god send.

I am very excited for RoS and plan to delete every character on my account so i can start over 100% SF on HC.

And whats the deal with the 1h weapons? Why am i getting 1200-1400+ dps 1hers but i cant find a decent 1400+ 2h that equals them in stats? Trying to play as a two handed character is broken on console.
Also why add in smart drops that damn near roll perfect and then for crafting only have the item roll a main stat with everything else random? this makes crafting pure sh*t! Also not rerolling those legendary recipes to max level was a complete fail on blizzards part... who the hell needs a level 45 legendary or set recipe? and why do the actual level 60 recipes only roll PC DPs values 800-1k?
I also don't understand why every Set and legendary item has to be so boosted that Rares are worthless in the game? Why kill off rare gear? once you are in full lego and set items you can basically stop looting rares which takes away a lot of the fun of discovery for people.
I get that you are having fun OP but the console version has a ton of issues and im getting tired of casuals coming to these forums and getting super excited about nice leveling gear... At endgame the console version is almost as broken as D3 on PC...
My level 60 para 25+ barb is sitting in inferno Master 5 (mp10) with 400k unbuffed Dps, 700 buffed all res and 110k health, 9% LS, 1600 LoH, 650CD and 65% CC. With under 100 hours played yet my stat composition is a complete mess but what incentive do i have to fix it? im facerolling the entire game. I actually fell asleep last night playing master V act 1...

Even during the D2 days a very small percent actually traded items at all. I know to many on these forums it seems like trading was a thing that everyone did... yeah sure in the hardcore community people traded but many forget about the 90-95% of players that played D2 offline, or just played zero trade or with a small group of friends only.
For me those trade sites were too risky, so i kept away. playing D2 more than ten years i traded 3-4 times and all were with people i knew.
I think Blizzard wants to go back to that where on 5% of the player base trades at all and everyone just enjoys the in game item hunt.

If the loot is anything like the console version which it probably will be without a AH.
Players will simply farm for their own items or farm in a very small group and share.
Stuff like account wealth and item worth wont matter at all.
Gold wont really matter since crafting and any other gold sink will be killed off by low costs.
I've seen it happen in D3 on Console, In Torchlight 2 on PC. I expect D3 on PC to follow suit. The only trading based ARPG left will be PoE and that game is like that because the drops really, really suck and the entire game is a life sink.

Looking at the data mined info it looks like PC will be adopting the difficulty settings of the console versions but more streamlined.
Easy, Normal, Master 1, Master II, Master III
Also keep in mind Adventure mode will need to be unlocked once you complete the final difficulty on inferno (or hell if they get rid of inferno).
This is purely speculation on my part but i expect all new difficult settings for Adventure mode and to a lesser extent Ladder seasons.
So to answer the Op it looks like MP is still in the game but in a new streamlined form.

Get it together Min...
RoS = Gambler, enchanting, loot runs, adventure mode, neph trials, Ladders, devils hand, bounty, repeatable missions (in adventure mode), new challenges... and much, much more.

RoS is basically what LoD was for Diablo 2... A M A Z I N G ! ! !
A Motherfu*king game changer bitches!!! Finally Diablo franchise is back to the level that we all expected it to be. Finally the true follow up to diablo 2 is upon us.

You guys should see me, my brother and friends playing a fighting game, split screen shooter or even a racing game together. Headlocks, pulling out the controller cord, flipping a sofa seat upside down, gut punches and more...
The funniest part of the whoel thing is that we aren't some teenagers... im in my mid 30s lol.
At my age if we dont polish off three cases of bud, break a controller and leave with some bruises we did it wrong haha.

I think having an option to use a Master V character would be good for certain people since Master has MF% bonus. Its a subjective thing and i do agree that others will like this and not consider it a con.

My personal console cons:
1) Graphics: Low res, zoomed in camera, shoddy performance with too many monsters on screen, constant client freezes in four player public games. All in all the game looks bad and after a week of playing i stepped into Path of Exile and thought GGG upgraded that games graphics LOL!
2) Co-op loot: There are zero loot options in local co-op. Its 100% FFA. No round robin, no loot priority based on main stat... nothing... just fist fights, thrown controllers and arguments. Also that wonderful version of smart loot on the console version doesn't exist in same screen co-op so the loot is crap. Anyone seriously trying to gear up a character... play solo or online.
3) Gearing up alts: You can't gear up alts at all. Have a level 60 master V main and want to farm for loot for that new alt? Cant because 99% of the loot solo and online is for the class you are using.
4) Gear: Gear stats are horribly boosted, Im down with smart loot, im down with gear rolling with good stat set ups however i am not fine with gear having 400+ main stat, not fine with having almost 100k dps in hell mode. Who asked for that? why trivialize your game like that? At least balance the difficulty to match the gear. With that gear on the first 4-5 difficulties you 1-2 hit everything...
5) Difficulty levels: Blizzard decided to not offer benefits for Easy, Medium & Hard difficulties and the MF/GF % boosts for Master 1-5 are pathetic to the point of MV not being worth it at all passed Master I. So not only does the endgame start at mp5 (master I) but the benefits versus the risk arent balanced at all.
6) Inferno Mob Density: We all know console can't handle mp+ PC mob density however console does boost density slightly as you raise Master levels. Bad news Blizzard didn't bother balancing Act 3 default density with the rest of the game... So guess what we will be doing our entire time in inferno? Act 3 runs... How does Blizzard make such a silly mistake? Not even an attempt was made to raise Xp levels of monsters in Acts 1,2, and 4 to make those areas viable farming spots...
7) Cheaters: With offline play comes save game hacks, dupes and more... this isnt a problem since Offline is supposed to be solo and local (lan) co-op only. However for some reason Blizzard doesnt let us create online only and offline only characters similar to Diablo 2... So now we have 2k dps hacked characters in public games... GG blizz.
8) Legendary items: Ok they they let every legendary drop at any level. This is ok i guess but by doing so they made rare items worthless... once you get into inferno and get a lego or set item in each slot you stop caring for anything but orange beams! I wanted better loot drops, I didnt want them to kill off rare items... So on console Yellow is the new blue.
9) Crafting: Crafting has Smart loot mechanics... however its only for the main stat. Roll an item as a barb 90% of the time it will be a Strength item. Sadly most of the time all the other stats are ass which makes crafting worthless... again. Blizzard made crafting easier by making it cheap but certain recipes are still a tad expensive like the BOA chest recipe. 150k a pop is a bit high when the gold average of players getting to inferno is 300k...
10) Controls: All in all i like the controls... this is because I play melee characters mostly... However, if you enjoy ranged characters and play a spec that requires you to place spells on certain areas of the screen you cant. Sure you can use L2 to target a monster but the lack of precision control really kills ranged classes for me when i tried to use them on console. This could be a gamebreaker for many so i figured i would add it.
Ok i think im done, I know many PC gamers are mad and/or jealous of the console version... some even say that diablo 3 on PC should have released like the console version... boy oh boy diablo 3 would have been dead in less than a month if blizzard did release it with these issues.
So don't get too mad PC guys and gals... other than loot that basically breaks the game... PC version is better in almost every way. Ill see you guys in RoS on PC.

Pretty hard? im playing a ARPG with no trading at all! I now have over 300k dps and face roll master 4... give me a week ill be soloing master 5 Ubers and two to three hitting Master V elites...
I'll be honest here but i think the PC gaming community and Blizzard really have the wrong idea about what Console gamers want... Not every console game is CoD... There are hard games like Dark Souls, Dragon's Dogma, Monster Hunter, Ninja Gaiden and others on those platforms... consoles have complex strategy and rpgs like Disgaea and Persona that can be played for Hundreds of hours.
To release a game that is considered a massive undertaking on PC, boosting the drops so much that it becomes a 50-100 hour casual romp is a slap in the face to console gamers let along a pc gamer like myself looking for a slow burn type of self found experience.
I just hope for our sake that when RoS releases on PC and i return its not this horribly balanced mess im playing through on console...

Looking through all the RoS features you can see that we will have mechanics in place that will support no-trade play.
However, after playing the console version of self found which basically throws everything but the kitchen sink at you. I worry that maybe blizzard will go overboard and mess up.
When I play self found i don't want upgrade after upgrade given to me every 30 minutes. I don't want to have 80k dps in act 2 hell mode... I don't want every damn legendary that drops to be a massive upgrade. I don't want to step into inferno on easy (mp0) with no paragon levels and get two freaking legendary weapons on one elite.
Yes a 1380+ mace (200+ Str, 200 vit, 10% Atack speed,100 CD & Socket) and 1150+ axe (with 450 str, 3%LS & 103CD) dropped for me within 30 minutes in inferno leading to the Skele king... THAT IS NOT HOW I WANT MY SELF FOUND TO GO!!! That is how my self found ends...
Self found for me is a slow burn, it slowly rewards me, its a challenging experience, a battle against the RNG. I'm being rewarded but i'm progressing in baby steps. Baby sets Blizzard... not 250K dps buffed after 5 hours in inferno...
Some examples of good self found? Diablo 3 on PC before you hit that 100k dps road block of doom... 50-100 hours of play slowly building up gear and wealth thats what i like. It's steady, its challenging, its relaxing.
Another one would be Path of Exile where i sit down for a three hour session find some nice materials, a spell gem or two and make some progress through merciless... simple nothing crazy that's what I like.
Another would be Diablo 2 where i progress slowly but the gear is good, game is challenging and I gain runes, gems and Xp as i play. That's good Self found.
I strongly believe that Blizzard will do self found right but man oh man does that console version have me worried that they will really, really screw up my no trade experience.
Am i alone in thinking self found should be like this? Are you guys worried at all that Blizzard might just go crazy and toss the kitchen sink at people?
Anyway thanks for reading.

I agree but how are they going to fix D3s horrid itemization so we dont need trifecta? or weapon damage dictating everything or CD/Socket or bust on weps... I mean are they really going to the drawing board with RoS? i doubt it. So until i see different the mystic will be exactly like i imagine it. A gold sink that many will consider not taking part in (unless they are 100% SF)... much like pre-BOA crafting.
Edit!!! Damn it i forgot to double quote! im sorry, i need to upgrade my forum editing skills.

"Even though you are allowed to reroll only ONE property, you can reroll that property over and over. For example, suppose an item has 200 str, 200 vit, 80 res all, +1200 Life on Kill and +400 Life on Hit. You might choose to reroll the +1200 Life on Kill and get +87 Hitpoints per second. You can then reroll the +87 Hitpoints per second and get +4 gold pickup radius. You can reroll the "mutable" stat as many times as you want, but the other 4 stats (200 str, 200 vit, 80 res all and +400 Life on Hit) are now "locked in" and cannot be rerolled. "
