Yeah I do hope they add a games list sooner or later. The current matchmaking system is hilariously unsuited to endgame co-op. You have to choose a specific quest and a specific MP in advance and hope that other people did the same? 1.0.8 is supposed to be the multiplayer patch so hopefully they'll come up with something. If the games list can't be done they should at least add some multi-select options to choose the areas/MPs you want to matchmake into. Maybe some premade matchmaking pools like "Act 1 Farming", "Act 2 Farming", "PvP", etc.

Forcing players to play in a way that's fun is what game design is all about. Every game does it, but Blizzard is open about their motivations which only serves to infuriate the people who don't agree with the decision.

I think 4 players is absolutely the right number. Any more than that and it becomes implausible for all of the players to fight in the same place at the same time, as we saw in D2. Then you have to balance the monsters on the assumption that people are going to split up, and then groups that cram themselves onto one screen can beat the system and farm too quickly, etc etc.

Offline play is not confirmed, only local co-op(which I've never heard anyone complain about not having on the PC before).

    Local actually means offline.

No, it doesn't. Local means multiple players on the same system.

That is it for the answers? Talk about a failure. I highly doubt that there were that many high upvoted questions about "brawling" at all; instead they picked it because it was new and shit and as such needed to justify their idiocy to their followers. While the actual hard questions were ignored like usual since they cannot answer them because it is so glaringly obvious that the game if flawed in its' two core aspects: Character Inherent Power and Itemization.

The theme for the Q&A was 1.0.7.

Which means nothing to players. We know why 1.0.7 is trash, why "brawling" is trash, and why anything new they add doesn't actually enhance the game (Paragon did nothing, buffed legendaries did nothing, and buffing damage of skills does nothing). Because the core game is broken. As such, unless they actually answer the tough questions, then why even bother doing a Q&A? All it is is a PR stunt for the loyal fanbase, but quickly disenfranchises the on fencers to go try other games or just ditch the failure that is D3.

I don't agree with any of that. The core game is not broken, and every patch since launch has been a considerable improvement. There are still improvements left to make, but many of them will come in future patches, and the rest I don't mind waiting for an expansion if need be.

Ideally they would add salvage buybacks, and then they wouldn't need the option in the first place.

Except it would be very weird to see the blacksmith put back together an item with the mats he just salvaged

"Wait, wait, wait... dude! You can just forge back this 1100 dps one handed axe with socket and 300 strength with like, one essence, one rare mat, free of charge. And yet... you charge me 100k gold, fifty essence and whatnot for random crap items?! Are you a demon?"

He just has a short term memory for enchantments. Give him a break, his wife is dead.

After all you have that PoS re-hash called path of exile to look forward to, Too bad its a free2play so you know its going to be buy to win with a cash shop. No thanks.

And D2 was differrent than this model? play and have fun, but never expect your toon to excel unless you use the trading sites, either through incredible redunt farming and selling of semi crap to accumulate enough SoJs to buy 1 item, or do what all the cool kids did, buy it with cash.

    fixed that for you

As i said on the other topic. He's a scape goat, nothing else.

The director gets credit for the successes and responsibility for the failures, it comes with the job. There's no mistake that couldn't have been fixed by him doing something differently.

That said, I think Jay had an incredibly difficult task. The expectations for D3 were well outside the realm of reality. And the worst part about it is that nobody knew exactly what they wanted - D2 was flawed in a lot of ways and should certainly have been improved on, but very few games have ever done it, certainly not to the extent that people wanted. I think a lot of the controversial decisions they made did work out very well, but they still failed to foresee a lot of missteps at launch and Jay is accountable for that.

While I like the changes i don't agree that the account bound stuff is the right thing to do. I mean if the new craftable items are like hellfire rings i can see why they want them account bound, but if they still have no guaranteed stat rolls and roll like 99% of the rares there is no point to them being only usable to my account. I was hoping that they would increase the pickup radius based on paragon level, but i guess that went out of the door. Over all looks like a step in the right direction, I just hope they take a bigger look into loot in the future.

The whole reason they're doing this is to improve the chances of finding something you can use for yourself. If the gear wasn't account bound, it would all just go up for sale and we'd be right back where we started, picking all our gear on the AH again. A guaranteed 6 affix ilvl63 rare, with a good primary stat role and on the slot of your choice, is way better odds than finding something good through loot.
