As they crowned the next heath, the wooden towers of the Riddian outpost became visible. Buliwyf raised his hand in a fist, motioning to everyone to stop moving.

"We move on foot from here." Buliwyf said. "Steel yourselves. we must end this quickly."

Buliwyf motioned for everyone to move forward.

    "Leave none alive! No quarter!"

    I guess we do.

But I think it's more for the looks, rather than abilities. I hope.

I almost used Gattsu from Berserk as my character.

I'm not a fan of country music, but Taylor Swift didn't deserve that. Good on Beyonce for giving Taylor the time to do her speech over, but she shouldn't have had to do that. Kanye is an egotistical, narsassistic asshole.

How much of a douche-wad do you have to be to get up on stage during an award and try to upstage the winner. Scripted or not, Kayne still looked like a jack ass.

This one is not going to die for a while, this thread, and you tube, will be providing laughs for ages.

Heard his record label has since dropped him. Maybe that will teach him. But probably not. He will just start his own record label where he will be an even bigger jerk.

Still an option till this one gets passed the "prologue".

I'm still thinking of ways to work you in.

Remember, my character isn't even in this yet. If he was, he'd have plenty to say.

That's good. We will definitely have to try work you in then.

I'm bored enough to check these threads out every 10 minutes..

I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not.

"What about you, was your life always this exciting?"

"No. My brother and I grew up in Westmarch." Buliwyf replied. " though we were naught but the sons of a farmer, we knew a life on milling and tilling, was not what we wanted. Hearing the tales of the Knights of Westmarch, that noble order of Paladins, we knew what we wanted to do in life. As Jamis and I are not of noble birth, we could not join the Knights of Westmarch, so we formed our own order so to speak. Come let us no longer dawdle. The Riddia outpost should not be much further. We shall have to continue this conversation at a later date."

Buliwyf signalled to the group to quicken their pace.

"My story is a simple one, unlike you or your brother, I have not had many adventures."

"Well that is something we shall have to remedy."
    Buliwyf quipped.

"I fear my parents are not happy about my decision but hopefully they take to heart that I am helping those in need."

"I have no doubt they will be proud of what you acomplish." said Buliwyf.

    Medieval Fantasy.

Wouldn't be medieval fantasy if we didn't go to a bar full of the disgusting scum of society, you know, thugs, drunks, low lifes, whores, slave drivers, illegal pit fights, animal cruelty, gambling and monster or two. A dank pool of base corruption if ever there was one.

    Fair standard issue really.

I understand it would increase the difficulty of your task by introducing me to the RP and all of the associated things.

For me it's more of a timing issue. I don't like people just randomly turning up. Now if we happened to be in a bar searching for someone who might know something and you happened to be at that same bar, well now, that's different.

I still check both threads every day, and I'm still waiting for my chance to contribute my character, but it just seems to be moving like molases right now. But, maybe that's more about the speed that these RP's usually go.

That's good. I check both threads almost daily too. You know you could always strike up a dialog between your character and another person's. Looking at the character thread, almost every one of us has the same or similar goal, but how we go about achieving the goal could be very, very different. Or it could the same.

You every opened a mollasses drum without opening the smaller bung to let the build up pressure escape? It comes out pretty damn quick I can assure you.

I think that a combination of bad timing and unforeseen events are plaguing the RP right now (those being the poor timing and my character dropping out of the picture combined with an unforeseen unability to commit enough time on Elfen's part). We do have a plan to combat this problem, but we still need to iron out a couple details.

Yeah, I think we picked an odd week to start, right when Blizz anounces the monk (and other huge bombs). Kind of off set us a few days.

I had some work things around when we started too, I think I passed most of that now, so I should have some more time for this.

I do not like to double post (or worse, triple post) if I can avoid it. But I can do it if I have to, I just prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, and a chance to keep it rolling themselves.

I was the last to post, we are now on our way to get the disguises for the attack. I was kinda, like I said, giving people a chance to post again, before I double posted.

you could cheat in BGII. Infact Viconia expect it of you at one point.

I'm worried about the sex/violence part... games who advertise that too much commonly do not do well...

Unless said game is a variation of Grand Theft Auto.

Bladur's Gate didn't suffer from not having any sex.
Well not any over the top in your face sex.

Sex came mostly in the form of a "rest" screen. Even in BG1. Course back then you were reserved to choose from between the whore in this town, and the whore in that town. Not the female companion you just killed a dragon with. Yeah sorry female gamers who made female characters, you only got the one choice. Anomen, whereas males got to choose from 3.

And in BGII it was more often than not a reward for time spend getting to know the person (Jaheira, Aerie, Viconia or Anomen). You could always decide to sleep with the local bar whore if you wanted to, but if you were in a relationship already it would have a dramatic effect on it.

That was how sex was always presented in Baldur's Gate. Cause and Effect. Sleeping with Aerie resulted in her having a baby, which she would (in typical Aerie fashion) insessently whine about.

Viconia would remain uncompromisably bitchy the next morning if you slept with her. And how her only purpose is to be an object of lust, and hopefully all those exhurstions last night were enough to please one of you (You or her).

Never could stand Jaheira, so never got around to getting her in the sack.

They didn't say that, they just say it is possible if the player chooses to, and that it is up to him/her how far they are willing to take it.
Which in my opinion adds to the realism.

I myself probably won't get settled down with some medieval skank in the game, because I'm not interested in that, but I can imagine some players would be.

And if you choose to do that, then you should be rewarded as well in some way, maybe, possibly. Sex probably won't net you any real reward anyways, but choosing not to should be an equally viable option. Otherwise people would probably just sleep with the first romancable tart that come along simply to score whatever meager reward it offered. Without a care for what the impact it will have of the female (or male in question).

If it makes me care about the characters the way BGII did, I will probably buy it.

The over use of violence and sex isn't needed. This isn't GTA.

Memorable characters, great compelling story, intrigue, complexity, and possibly getting to fight a dragon or too. That's mostly what I go for.

    Guess this guy was wrong.

And shame on the OP for reposting this tired theory.

All that happened on 09/09/09 was that blizzard updated their fan art site with 3 new pics. That 09/09/09 theorised must be kicking himself now. All that "work" (and yes I use the word loosely, it seemed like mostly nonsense to me) for nothing.

Let's all take a moment to point and laugh. Ok that was slightly mean, (err i think), but come on, it was a little etreme (if not entertaining) don't you think? "DOL, dol is an anagram of LOD, OMG!!!! I just jizzed in my pants!!!!!!" Was the basic vibe I got from all that. Some weird obscure reference (whether intentiona lor not) and this guy was fizzing at the bung.

Too bad no one here knows about the "Hydra" theory, cept for maybe Elfen. Good times....

What am I suppose to be in the know about?

Loading up horses with what supplies there was to be found within the town, the Knights of the Burning Blade set out to accomplish their first objective of the assualt of Riddia. The acquisition of the disguises for the attack on the western gate.

Buliwyf began to run his plan over and over in his head, and thought of the characters from the stories of his youth. He looked around at his men walking beside and behind him.

"Is this the great battle that will place me among the heroes of my childhood." he thought to himself. "Or is this naught but the first step to greatness?"

    Buliwyf noticed Kira beside him.

"Kira." Buliwyf said. "I prithee, We have traveled a short while, and yet we know next to nothing of each other."

Only a matter of time then I guess.

Of course with me living where I do, 9/9/09 for California is actually 10/9/09 for me, yeah, I'm a day ahead.

I'll give the 9/9/09 theorist some credit, his theory was entertaining at the least.
