posted a message on What LOH should I be aiming for?
There seems to be some hidden formula to it.
I usually run around with 700k or so. For the uber bosses on MP6 i had to pump that up a bit to 1k in order regain life fast enough not to be squashed by siegebreaker inside one of kulles bubbles.

But im a WW barb so for a wiz i'd assume you need a little less.

posted a message on AH price pummet, upgrade now? or wait till later
Gold has been plummeting in value for quite some time.
And come on, people think about it, this game was never designed for players to run around with billionaire banks.

In my opinion it is going to be a real good thing that more and more items are "flooding" the market. Eventually it will get to a point where just your regular gold income will be what you require to pay for an item you need.
And blizzard is smart, she know this will make a great divide beetwen the AH and the RMAH, what will eventually happen is that everything good and lower will be found in gold AH. And never for nearly as crazy a price as currently 1-2 billion bid only items...
And the real deal, perfect or neaar perfect rolls and BIS items will be found in the ah, for as high a price as people will be willing to pay (my guess is $250,00).

And lets face it, the way legendaries are dropping now every single player out there really has a chance to get items he needs, or even items a friend needs and he can just trade them for whatever said person finds that he can use.

I deffinately approve the change the economy is gonna go through.

My personal advice is BURN ALL YOUR CASH!!! and keep just some gold to feel confortable with (maybe 20 mil). Spend all you have in making your character MP6 or MP7 worthy asap and you will be in the vanguard having more and better items available sooner then the rest of the players.

    Quote from JKlimek

You should do your math again, because it's not worth it to combine ANY of the pre-inferno gems if you consider the price of flawless squares. I only pick up flawless squares because those are the only ones worth more to combine than it is to buy on the AH.

Well when i calculated all that the price on ah mae me get that feedback.
THat was probably 3 weeks ago.

I did some math a while ago. At that time if i upgraded everything to Flawless Star and sold them (red and green ones only) i could make at least a mil (15%deduction already included) per gem i sold on the AH.

Then i got to do it and... well screw that takes too damn long.
Just stored the squares again and sold the ones id already made for roughly no profit at all (actually just lost some time by waiting for them to combine).

To sum it up... do what you please but seriously dont expect big fprofits out of it.

Dude i got so many egendaries in these last two days i already lost count....
Well i mostly just did quick runs for keys, all on MP6 or MP7. roughly 11 hours total. Coincidently i made a total of 11 machines.
All of that with 500%+ MF
And killed the bosses on the realms at the very least 5 times each.

Let me try to recap real quick.
    Dead Man Legacy,
    Chantodo WIll,
    Logan Claw
    Sultan of Biinding sand
    Immortal King bigass hammer
    Maximus
    Warmonguer
    2x Lammentation
    Wormwood
    3x Hellrack
    Storm Crow

Well i guess that is it... but im probably forgeting at least a couple.

Edit: just remembered, Swamp Land Waders, Gladiator Gauntlets.. there were more im certain.

Edit 2: Nvm that swap Land i think i got that the day before the patch.

I farmed MP 6 and MP 7 yerterday for about 8 hours straight.
    Made 9 Infernal Machines.
Got 8 legendaries, including two set items - Chantodo Wand and IK weapon (and for a change not one Gladiators Gauntlets).

Seriously if you can deal with the increased difficulty, MP6 is where the scales really start to tip in your favor. On MP 6 i had 505% MF and on MP7 530%... that is just pure fun to KNOW that pretty soon you will be seeing the light beacon again.

And a piece of advice, if you want to craft Hellfire rings dont waste your machines on any MP lower than 6. It is very frustrating to go through all the trouble and killing the bosses (that are not really so simple to kill even in lower MP) and not getting the materials for the ring.

I burned 7 machines and got nearly two rings done, but in order to do that i had to kill all three sets of bosses probably 10 times on MP5 and MP6.

Wow that sucked, last night the only boss i killed (and it was for nostalgia purpose) was Leoric... i actually got 7 rares from him, only one was ilvl 63 (Archon Gloves) on MP6 with 459% MF.

EDIT: Well, from the wording on the notes i assume it is all bosses across all diffs.

    Did anyone notice this?

    Bosses
    • General
      • Bosses will now drop improved loot the first time they are killed in each difficulty
        • All characters have had their "first kill" status reset for all bosses in the game
Free "improved loot"... ill grab my barb with max mf gear and go fish for some chances at good low lvls legendaries (like leoric ring that may drop from A2 normal belial, kulle or maghda for example).

[Where you get that, monsters do 220% extra damage at monster power 6 i do not know. But its not true. If it was true it would mean monsters would pretty much one shot me, which is far from the case. I can farm pretty easy monster power 8. That means monster damage is scaling far from the numbers you pulled out from your arse there.

220% is what the official chart shows btw...

Huminators reply was way too rude but he was correct in that it is not 220% extra damage but that monsters do 220% damage on MP6 which means 120% extra damage. So monsters don't do 3.2 times the damage than on MP0 but 2.2 times.

K thanks for clarifying that, much appreciated +1

Well now that we can really see what comes with each MPlvl where do you guys suppose will be the best tier to play the game when farming efficiency is concerned?

Looking at the chart that they posted for me it seems that the best trade-off will be at exactly monster power level 6, where monster only get 895% extra health and 220% extra dmg.
And we get 150% bonus to GF and MF and 47% extra item bonus.

Regarding place to farm i assume that it will still be act 3 roughly the Alkaizer route. But maybe faster runs on act 1 might be actually more efficient (cemetary, festering woods, Jailer and butcher) timewise as monsters will have less HP and although in lesser number the distance to run seems smaller.

Any thoughts on the matter plz share..

You will do at least mp 1 at mp1 the item affixes roll off the monster level not the item level.
aka 10% crit on lvl 58 gloves

The bonus item drop is huge for finding legends, so i'd expect people to bump up to mp 2 as soon as gear permits.

Barbs will be going higher, some classes will stay put or go up when its back to one shotting whites.

The ping on minimap for legendaries is so amazingly good for barbs.
However it's yet to be seen how Wotb uptime is going to be screwed with the nerfs (I'm pretty confident it just ups the gear requirement and forces you to spam sprint more)

Actually that is exactly half the nerf barbs took. WOTB uptime and the other half is god mode LOH based.
But even so everything else applies to WW barbs the same as other classes... just wont be efficient to crank it up to 8 and have to waith 4 mins till you finally down a group of 2-3 elites.. not to mention the risk of dying due to the lowered resistance+LOH and increased monster dmg.

Barbs might still be "able" to go for real high Mlvl, but it doesnt mean it will be better to be there...

    ^^ Yep.

Like Loroese has stated, you need to look at relative values of MF increase. The more MF you have, the less you gain from monster levels.

For example, if you're rocking 375% on monster level 0, monster level 6 will only give you 175% more MF which is only a 46% increase. Considering the amount of HP they gain is MUCH more than 46% it's unlikely that monster power will be efficient.

I know WW barbs are different and don't care as much about monster HP (and in some cases would even prefer them to have more HP due to rage) but as a WD I think the most efficent monster level will be level 0 (unless you have good enough gear to still 1 shot monsters at higher levels with soul harvest).

I have a feeling monster levels will only increase the divide between Barbs and other classes. For example, wizards/WDs rely on "onkill" effects which don't happen as quickly when the amount of HP increases. However, barbs rely on crits which occur more often if the monster has more HP.

You sir, know me too well!
Exactly it is deffinately not like i care how much HP they got, i only want them to die fast enough for me to see the sparkly green thingys flying to the floor.

But what you said go t me thinking, i was assuming i would be benefiting from the whole boost, but since i can farm at max MF atm on M0 there really is no reason to want to crank thngs up so high....

Well farming in general, i just assume everyone wants both things...

Anyways you are right about the HP of A1 mobs, but still even if they have similar HP to A3 mobs they die easier due to being junky skellies mostly...
I suppose the bosses themselves are scaled up on HP like that to conterweight the fact that people would prefer A1 over te others exactly because everything now has the same chance to drop the same loot and on A1 they get to kill two easy bosses after quickly acquiring 5 NV.
