Well now that we can really see what comes with each MPlvl where do you guys suppose will be the best tier to play the game when farming efficiency is concerned?

Looking at the chart that they posted for me it seems that the best trade-off will be at exactly monster power level 6, where monster only get 895% extra health and 220% extra dmg.
And we get 150% bonus to GF and MF and 47% extra item bonus.

Regarding place to farm i assume that it will still be act 3 roughly the Alkaizer route. But maybe faster runs on act 1 might be actually more efficient (cemetary, festering woods, Jailer and butcher) timewise as monsters will have less HP and although in lesser number the distance to run seems smaller.

Any thoughts on the matter plz share..

    Quote from ceeriouz

Imo they should completely seperate PVP from PVE meaning:
    • Target searching spells should be forbidden since there is no skill involved in shooting them and impossible to dodge
    • Gearwise it should be consider to ban usual gear from pvp and instead replace it with specialy designed pvp gear. This would make it much easier to balance the dmg and surviveabality of each player. I dont know how hard it is to implement something like this in the game but in my imagination it would something like the following:
    • -PvP is restricted to max lvl Players
-Once you reach lvl 60 you get your character duplicated but without any equipment and instead like a pvp starter gear
-To get better gear you have to do PvP and get a currency for winning ( like Arena Points in WoW)
This are my thoughts so far and i hope pvp wont be oneshotting and rather interesting 1 to 2 min fights.

I was thinking about it myself. It would probably be a DOTA style fight... fast, brutal, skill dependant and fun.
But in order to be so pre-set gears available to both players by choices would have to be a reality.

Also one other thing i think might be the solution is a change on how skills work in pvp.
Like Arcane bolt with seeker rune for example, in pve never misses, does regular dmg, etc.
In pvp it would probably have to change to doing less dmg, or reduced proc rate of crits or some other "nerf"
Like barbs Throw Weapon + Throw Corpse. That skill can deal up to 3-4 million dmg in an area in PvE... in pvp it would be a one shot most assuredly too.

    Quote from xaimx

I didn't say to sacrifice one or the other stats to try to maintain them equal, and if it came across that way then my mistake. The point is, Armor is equally effective at reducing damage as all resist, but people tend to forget that and pay out their ass for a peice with 80 all resist when something with +250 armor and 65 all resist would in almost all cases provide more mitigation. I would wager a substantial portion of my gold that many people don't think to enter armor into a search field when they search for gear on the AH.

I do. Ppl consider +armor a wasted affix and lower the prices of their item listings based on that.
I love to scoop them up and use them. My current ring is an example, even though it was the highest @ res Compass Rose on ah at the time it was 3 times cheaper than the next best one if you considered only the all res affix both had.
But the guy just listed it lower because instead of any dmg affix, socket, or atribute, it had +188 armor to it.

All i wanted was all res and 12% MS, and to turn on my travelers pledge 111% Crit Dmg bonus...

The thing is, armor and @res need to have similar reduction lvls, some other dude posted the formula for it. Since one value is multiplied by the other even if you stack one real high and neglect the other, the result will be low dmg reduction.

PTR 600 @res without impunity can see you safely up to MP6 on a WW barb with 5% or more lifesteal and 70k+ DPS. I tested it out.

    20. if you do get a legendary drop you can be certain that:
if it is a glove = Gladiator Gauntlets, if it is a bracer = Strongarm Bracers, if it is boots = Blackthorne's poopslippers, if it is a chest = Cindercoat, if it shoulders = Death Watch Mantle, if it is a ring = Skull Grasp (+str, Int, CC and a DH skill), if it is a shield = Ivory Tower, Helm = Andariel Visage (got three so far, none had a socket)...

And congrats, you have just earned 50k -15% in gold from a brimstone...

How about a separate mode (in addition to SC and HC) with no AH, all gears are account bound and no trade, and legendary drop rate is 10 times higher. I wonder how many people will choose to play on that mode.

    I WILL!

1, It affects me because i as a player Cannot trade with other players items for other items. Or find upgrades.. Why? Because for one its not secret that the RNG right now sucks big time, and that with botters running the AH and Blizzard doing nothing to stop it pumps to much money into the economy which means upgrade i want to buy cost 300m or 100m I can understand 100m But anything higher then that is just plain ludacris

Isnt Ludacris the name of a rapper or something like that?

#11 On the rare event that you do get a legendary NEVER, under any circumstance, identify it without looking at the item in all the available AHs. So you can decide upon selling it for some golds unid (try to that is) or if you should straight up salvage it to save yourself a little more frustration by having to read the rolls after identifying it.

posted a message on WW Barbs Nerfs in patch 1.0.5 and what you need to Upgrade before the patch hits
Tested it out, with full MF gear roughly 80k DPS MP5 is accomplishable efficiently, maybe 10% -15% slower than live 04.

Only thing that i noticed that was really a bother is the fact that WOTB uptime is not so good due to the fact that rage gen is not ticking so much from tornados during its duration. All the dmg is still there, but the fury income isnt, so mobs die and you dont get a lot of extra uptime.
THe thing it will require the most is a change in the playstyle and maybe i suppose a little getting used to a little lower expectation regarding the efficiency of your WOTB uptime.

Regarding the real nerfs though, elites do hit like a truck, i ran with no impunity, with roughly 600 all res (had actual 750ish fire res) and a molten, fast, electrified, shielding, succubus seemed too much trouble to be worth it after killing me once.
They do hit like a truck... so it is delusional to say all that crap about 25% less dmg blablah. Not only the succubus that has her little debuff thingy, but some of those fatases that shield too, their normal fireball attacks eat up large chuncks of hp making you feel like you "should kite" them with tornados till they heal you....but they dont.

04 if you have 600 all res, that is equal 900 with impunity.
05 if you have 600 all res, that is equal to 720 with impunity, 20% less total all res.
Ok mobs hit 25% less dmg than 04, but they will be hitting a lower res threshhold with only a 5% reduced correlation between the dmg ratio and the res ppl can have. BUT, they have 2, 3 four and up to 20 times more HP, which results in them hitting you for longer periods of time if your chars dmg remains the same as current live.
LOH isnt enough to keep you alive anymore due to the proc nerf so the only available escape is real high crit chance, crit dmg and 3% Lifesteal in the very least.

One other note, i tested lacunis and normal bracers, tested IAS rings and no IAS.
The atk speed did not really seem to do all that much to help, might be worth consideration if you really need it at all. Just hit them hard, very hard, with 6% lifesteal and it will work out, a bit diferently, but will work. Needs more testing though.

It would probably take the programmer about 2 mins to insert a code line that added an "ID ALL" button on the corner of your inventory screen.
Then about 2 hours four the lazy asses of quality to test it out.

When we opened the launcher that change would prolly be downloaded instantly...

But then again, looks like a lot of work need to be put into it, so lets all wait for it in the next big patch....or after pvp.

Best case scenario, ID all button and a VENDOR FOLLOWER, that would be sweet!

Wait what? Space changed its function?

Btw ctrl is fine, since 99.9999²³x10³³³% of all items are thrash and we have to spend a long damn time to ID them all (about 25% of the time i spend to complete a run) CTRL helps me quickly inspect to see if any of those pieces of junk are even worth picking up...
I just pick up 63 and legendarys, and even so when i feel like what i see on the ctrl inspect might indicate anything worthwhile.

After that they Nerf the Shout for All Resist from 50% to 20% and that will cost you a lot of survivability because (for me) the -30% resist lost is over 140 @AR (All Resist).

Well, except that you'll actually gain a lot of survivability because they're nerfing monster damage far, far more than the loss of 140 resist all will cost you.

Yeah sure, go on believing that...
players x - monsters will hit like a truck! and u got 30% less resist.
They really are smashing barbs faces with the nerf hammer guys... dont be so deluded.

    Welcome back.
Barb was for the most part the weakest class farming wise, a build came up in late june that made it the most popular and efficient class,
Build turned out to e to good for blizzard and they are hitting it with the nerfbat.
    Ball is passing to WDs.
Lvl a WD. Get the gear for infinite mana/spirit walk and bears. Profit.

To sum it up DH is not the best class anymore. Barb has been for a while since late June when WW became popular. So much so they hit it with the nerf hammer.

    WDs ball is up next.
