Sep 17, 2013Venaliter posted a message on Diablo III Auction House is Shutting Down on March 18, 2014Not sure why everyone is celebrating. This could easily be the worse thing possible to happen to the game. Does no one understand how reliant we'll be on crafting mats in RoS? Does nobody remember how annoying trading was in d2, with all the spam? Does no one remember how absolutely FRAUSTRATING it was to find the low level dueling peice? How about all the bot spam?Posted in: News
On the other hand, The AH-barons really, really ruined the game and it was the "correct" way to gear up, which really sucked. -

Your both right! Loot 2.0 was originally hinted as coming out after Blizzcon, but it will probably be pushed back. We're looking at MAYBE december or more likely after the Christmas break. -

Does Shocking Aspect work with Disintegrate?
Why is is Prismatic Armor prefered over Force Armor?
and finally, Reflect damage is mitigated by Armor AND Arcane Resist, correct? It seems like the only practical way to defend against it is to equip a weapon with ~3.00 Lifesteal and Blood Magic PLUS Diamond Shell, although Archon cancels it/cannot cast it yet.

1) Disintegrate still does not seem to work with Blood Magic. Does anyone know differently?
2) Does Shocking Aspect work with a) Disintegrate, Hydra, or c) Blizzard?
3) Does Force Weapon Knockback with channeled spells?
4) Does Conduit with with Channeled spells?

AH it.

Also, does Hydra/Blizzard gain any benefit from +Critical hit damage modifers?

This even includes Oculus, the unique demi lich. This is part of the problem with d3; finding uniques and class-only rares should have guaranteed useful stats. There shouldn't be str or dex on a wizard orb, or str and int on a DH quiver. I'm gladly take a reduced drop chance in exchange for these items to be exciting and fun to find/ID instead of the vendor trash they usually are.
It just makes the game not fun; and Blizzard is realizing this.

Right now, I believe that's about ~36k hp. But it varies based on armor, and physical resistance. Elemental Resists, while helpful, aren't particularly that critical.

Not much. No vitality, low int, low damage (it goes up to 400ish on Demi Liches,)
Only the most desperate, and frankly (moronic) Wizards will buy that; you can get a better blue demi lich.

You really can't avoid things like oppressor charge, so Force Armor is the best, most important wizard talent by far.
It seems to me Wizards lack some kind of tool to counter things like reflective damage/mortar/jailer /vortex type things. The class would be better balanced if we had some kind "smokescreen" of our own; It really feels like we lack an effective way to deal with certain affixes.
Changing a Diamond Skin rune to something like "Diamond skin no longer absorbs damage, but instead removes you from sight for 4 seconds, 30 second cooldown." would just be awesome and fill a much needed gap.

A little bit of common sense, and a bit of class knowledge should clear this up for you.
