Personally I think you guys are dreaming if you think they're going to add anything pertaining to pvp other than a duel system. This is blizzard we're talking about, their number one priority is pve.
I think Dante's Inferno(Both the game, and obviously the poem) represent what I think hell would be. Of course the Diablo universe Hell isn't at all like real lifes hell.
And some of these things are still undecided, by Bashiok. I'm starting to question if he is the only team member that makes all the decisions himself, and rejects all other team member's ideas.
Just wanted to mention that Bashiok is merely a community representative. He has very little if any involvement in the development process.
Overall disappointed with the art direction myself. Not so much that everything is somewhat colorful, but the fact that we're in 2010 and Blizzard seems to be stuck in their Warcraft 3 era of art. I'm all for gameplay over graphics, but Blizzard can do better than this with their huge developing budget.
Makes sense that the class is some sort of desert themed character. I originally thought after the monk was released that it was going to be called the bandit with bow/traps/melee(whether that be dual wield or spears). Especially thought it after they said they were going to release a different class, but it wasn't ready so they released the monk in the desert themed area(aka act 2).
That may happen but Blizzard will likely get the courts to call it illegal just like the private realms.
That doesn't stop private realms from popping up.
As for the hacking thing, there will always be hacks, you will never ever prevent people from hacking. Look at DRM, as tight as they make DRM the pirates still find a way around it.
Diablo 2 economy would still fail without dupes. Just as the poster above me said, SoJs would just replace the runes. Either way we are stuck using in game items as a de facto currency since the gold system is broken.
At least with the dupes we can have runewords. I seriously doubt most of you would actually enjoy it with dupes gone (or even worse with no hacks and no bots). We've all become accustomed to being able to actually build our characters.
I've been playing Diablo 2 since it came out. I've seen exactly one SoJ since I first started playing, and that dropped in the Chaos Fortress for my amazon before LoD even came out. That's 10 years of playing, probably close to a hundred thousand farming runs, clearing probably millions of hell difficulty mobs and millions of nightmare difficulty mobs. Do you HONESTLY believe that if dupes weren't in the game, the market would have anywhere near the amount of items it does? The astronomical values of high end loot dropping alone guarentees that the market wouldn't become saturated.
Let's not forget the time when rares(pre-LOD, post LOD rings/crafted amulets) were THEE BEST items you could get. Now lets add low-ish drop rate into items that come with completely random stats.
If anything, they should make the mid tier stuff that is easier to find BoE since it is well....easier to find. The high end stuff that is much more difficult to find, remains tradeable.
This is taking into account that every mob you kill in hell difficulty doesn't drop a unique or set item or high rune or awesome rare.
No single item in the game would be worth a high rune if there weren't dupes. I don't think Blizzard understands that dupes are what make the diablo 2 economy fail.
I agree, text is fine for anything not between friends. I don't like listening to immature little kids screaming into their mics because they think it's funny.

Feedback is the best thing for a company, even more so for a gaming company.

Actually I hate the elder scrolls series. I however love the idea of the battlemage.

Hey don't steal my idea!
Joking aside, if they allow wizards to wield 2h swords, then the conjuration wizard will be my first class(even on hc).
